Ichigo wandered threw a thick forest. She had no gaol no set place to reach. The only reason she moved was that she had yet found a place to stay. She was starting to get tired from her journey when she found a clearing and a river. She smiled and stopped to rest by the river. She stopped and found a nice place to rest her weakened legs.
Kenji had been trecking endlessly throughout the forest all day long. He had been counting the days since he had last seen Ziva, but had lost track and reckoned it had been about a year now. For all he knew, she could've moved on and have a family now, but somehow he felt that she couldn't leave him like that, after all they'd been through. She could've also been dead, but he refused to even consider that option. All he knew was that he missed her, and he had never felt the same for any other mare as he had felt for her. He sighed heavily and kept walking through the forest. His odd green color made him blend easily into the dense trees around him. That was why he liked the forest, no one could bother him here.
He heard a noise behind him. He froze instantly and spun around to see what had caused it. He had a slight fear for forests since his nasty encounter with a kalona when he was just a foal. He could hear light footsteps far away. Then he saw her. Her bright vibrant red color stood out from her surroundings, giving her away. He followed her until she paused by a river and sat down. She seemed tired. He didn't want to frighten her, so he watched her from behind a bush. She was really beautiful.

Ichgo soon noticed the stallion watching her. she couldn't really make him out she just knew he was there. She looked straight at where he was for only a second before resting her head on her legs. No mater who or what he was it was just a wast of time to care. Nothing but herself was worth her time in her book. She flicked her tail lightly disturbing her beads the slightest bit causing them to make a tink like noise.
He knew the mare had noticed him, yet she didn't do anything about it. Wasn't she the least bit agitated that a stranger was watching her? He puffed, ruffling the leaves of the bush but she didn't seem to care. He watched her rest her head and listened to her beads tinkling. She moved rather elegantly, but then again, so did most females. That was what enchanted him the most about females. He was about to leave and find something better to do with his time than stalk this mysterious mare, but something made him stay. What if a kalona appeared? What if it attacked her? Even though the bright and beautiful mare seemed pretty confident and fearless, he knew that no one is ever safe. He stepped out of his hiding place and walked towards her. "Hi. I'm Kenji." he said and stopped beside her with pride. Up close she was even more enchanting. Her bright green hair looked silky and soft, and it made him want to nuzzle her. He waited for her reaction.

Ichigo looked up at him. She was upset that he had decided to come over, he wasn't worth her time. He annoyed her but she thought she might as well greet him. She lifted her head and looked at him her expression was far from a smile. "Hello, I'm Ichigo Mochi, or Ichigo for short. Do you have any reason for coming over Kenji?" She glared at him for nothing more then a second in her annoyance. She mostly only had interest in interesting horses he was not interesting at all in her mind.
Kenji was shocked. Never before had he met a pretty mare so rude. He resisted the overwhelming temptation to snap at her and angrily leave. Calmly, he replied with his most sincere smile, "I just felt that a lovely lady like yourself should have company, that is all." he stared at her with his warm, golden eyes, trying to grab her attention. "Do you mind if I join you?"

Ichigo stared up at him. Her golden eye's staring at him. She turned away and grumbled to her self. She looked back up and stated rather coldly, "I suppose you may. I don't care either way." She rested her head on her legs once more as she stared at Kenji.
Kenji grinned and sat down beside her- very close. He could feel their bodies touching. She wondered whether or not she would shy away from this physical contact. He was really pushing her limits, but didn't want to push her away. "Ichigo," he said, testing the feel of this name. "Thats a really nice name." He smiled at her, hoping she would turn her head to notice him.

Ichigo ignored him when he went to lie down, but when he laid down to close she shot a glare at him. "What on earth are you doing!" Her ear's pinned back on her head as she glared. His smile just upset her more. What on earth does this guy think he's doing! what a annoying wast of time! "Gat off me!" To show her dis comfort at the contact she nipped at the air right next to his side. She didn't want to be bothered to get up and moved so she'd get him to do it.
Kenji was amused by her reaction. Clearly she wasn't bothered enough to get up and move herself, but she was pretty pissed. He shifted a couple feet away from her and didn't reply to let her cool down. He rested his own head on the ground and stared at the water in the river, watching the slow but steady current. Eventually, he felt himself become drowsy and had to fight the urge to let his eyelids droop. He stole a glance at Ichigo to check if she was still there, and that she wasn't in some kind of danger, then closed his eyes. He fell asleep so quickly he didn't know what hit him. Soon, he was snoring lightly and fidgeting a little, as he always did in his sleep.

She still was very upset at him. Not liking this touchy feelly guy near her. She wanted to up and leave but was still tired. She glared at Kenji snorted in anger and decided that she would sleep as well. She was hoping that he would be gone when she woke up. She really rather he go then stay here ruining her perfectly lovely spot.
He opened his eyes, and at first he was disorientated. Where was he? He looked around and didn't recognize his surroundings. Had he let himself fall asleep in a forest? Was he out of his mind? Then he saw Ichigo. She had rested her head down and was sleeping lightly. She looked so peaceful. She was even more flattering when she wasn't pissed off. He let out a snort and examined his surroundings. The shadows of the forest were unnerving yet beautiful. He decided to make her something. He rushed to a nearby bush and ripped out all the flowers with his teeth. He brought them over to their spot by the river and dropped them by his feet. The pile of flowers grew smaller and smaller as he carefully threaded the flowers together with his teeth. It required precision and patience, but he did it anyway, and soon he had a crown of daisies resting at his feet. He relaxed, proud of his work and watched at Ichigo, who was sleeping like a rose.

Ichigo woke to the sent of freshly picked flowers. She slowly opened her eye's turning to where the smell was strongest. When she laid eye's on the annoying stallion she frowned. She started to glare at him and half spoke to her self, "Your not gone yet?" She soon saw the crown of daisies and glared up at the stallion who made it. "What a prissy boy you are. What guy can make flower crowns. And why make something that takes so much effort to make but will die soon after? It's a wast of time." She didn't like this stallion very much. He was touchy, he seemed to enjoy wasting time and being a wast of time. She hated wast of times.
Kenji felt the strong impulse to go crawl up by a bush and whimper, but instead he pulled himself together and stood up swiftly. Shaking the dust off his mane, he gently picked up the flower crown and placed it atop her head. Before she could complain, he softly said, "Before you shrug it off or think of something mean to say, look at your reflection in the river," He hoped she wouldn't respond badly, so he added a quiet "Please?"
