A field, a stream, bright sun. Something bright-feathered circles overhead, yellow eyes searching, searching... then it flutters untidily towards the water, attracted by an unknown object that glitters beneath the surface.

Unfortunately, someone else has spotted it as well. Without taking her eyes off the prize, the bird quickens her movements, anxious to get to it before the stranger does.

With a triumphant shriek, the Benu bird splashed into the water and stuck her head in to grab the object... only to collide with another head.

Dazed, oth Iris and the bird backed away from the stream and sat down on opposite sides of the bank. There was a lull, and then -

"ZAW!" Exclaimed the feathered fiend angrily, crown feathers rising as she looked up at her competition accusingly.... to find it gaping at her. As the Benu finally got a got look at the other shiny-hunter, she stared back as well in wonder.

With a hop and a jump the bipedal was over the stream, looking up at this rainbowy creature with a chirp of approval.

Friend? Friend friend friend friend friend?
