Douse yourself in cheap perfume, it's so fitting...
It has been brought to my attention that this guild filled with so much
win and awesome-sauce (it's practically leaking that stuff, seriously.) is
not active anymore, which is...not win, not a speck of win at all. (Not even
a drop of weak-sauce, actually.)
So here's a new topic! One that has been touched upon before but I
don't believe it's had it's own thread before.
[ Kai's Clothing. ]
What's your season of preference? Which article of clothing would you
hijack? (Joe excluded, we all desire that piece of awesome) What the
hell was he thinking when he wore ___?! What's the weirdest thing you've
seen him wear in fanfics or fanarts? Best thing? Sexiest image brought to
mind? Anything and everything to do with his outfits and fashion sense,
bring it up here! It'll make for a fun topic, I swearz it.
Discuss.

Seriously? I went "WTF is that?!" at his 2002/V-Force outfit. I mean, c'mon, I saw a similar top in a girl's fashion magazine (that just happened to have been the released on my birth month) in the "Bad Girlz Closet" section!
Okay, so I had a moment of "OMG I have to get that top!"...and then my rational mind took over, with the continuation of the "WTF?!" reaction. And sure, the work boots keep the outfit from being too girly, but still. Heck, I wouldn't think twice about wearing those boots myself.
Oh, and it doesn't help that my mother now has a pair of pants that look like the one Kai wears in G-Rev. I'm still figuring out how to turn on my laptop's bluetooth capability so I can download the image from my phone-cam. neutral
Ooh, ooh! And I'd so steal Joe, even though I already have my Kyo-scarf (maroon version of Joe xD )
((Is it just me, or is my clothing style eerily similar to Kai's in some ways?))

Oh gawd, I'm glad someone else had the same reaction! (Lol, well I guess
Kai shops to look like a bad girl, then! x'D) Dude, no. I'm glad your rational
mind took over because that top isn't very fashionable! I loved those boots,
I'd wear them too! Ha ha, I can't wait to see a picture of those pants! Kai
cosplay!
But seriously, they took the pretty boy image too far in season 2 when Kai
was suddenly turned 78% female. (Not that I mind looking at him like that~)
I have a really fluffy version of Joe I got for Christmas~ Don't wear it much
though.
Weirdest thing I've seen Kai wear: Barney Suit (yes, the purple dinosaur)
and Frank n Furter's leather outfit. (Okay, I admit those were both my cruel
imaginations fault but it didn't make it any less weird.)

Agreed. It looks fine on a female model, buuuuuut.... *shifty eyes*
Yeah, "pretty boy" doesn't necessarily mean overly female (for a male character). Which is why I was all O____o at a particular scene in that series where Kai's pose did justice to his top. Suddenly the KaiRei thing became a ReiKai (since the neko-jin's "shocked" pose was more manly than Kai's) D8
Weirdest thing I've seen him wear? A maid outfit, complete with red hairbow. And token white cat. What is with fanartists and that maid dress?
*starts to sing the "I Hate You" song, to the tune of "I Love You" from Barney* Were Kai to actually wear that dinosaur suit, he'd be singing that song, not the original....even though that essentially means he'd be the target of that shotgun... xD;

Okay, I must say that I'm guilty in the whole fanartist who love maid oufits.
I happen to think they're really cute and just yesterday did a meme with
my best friend where we put Axel and Riku in them. -shameless-
Well, I guess Rei deserves to top every once in a while since he's the
one that always gets put in the 'oh em gee! They mistook me for a girl!'
situations in fanfics. Or he has to crossdress from some senselesss reason
or another. D:>

Season 2 - Just put makeup + make up some new Law of Gravity to make his dual colored locks stick to the ground = Girly Kai.

Speaking of girly Kai... Anyone notice that, with a little modification, his outfits could work for females as well? Change his S01 tank top into a midriff halter and... -ahem- *has been looking at Glay's fem!Kaixfem!Takao color sketches too much*
Gah! Okay, I will stop mentioning that.
Another article of clothing I'd 'hijack' were I given the chance would be his jacket - my mom confiscated my old one before I could put the buckles on it crying - and his belt. I love his belt buckles! 8D

Poor girly Kai. The artists never really gave him a chance to be manly did they? What with the tight shirts and the makeup and the *shakes head sadly*
You know what I would really love? His first season pants. They are SOOO HIGH. Like ridiculously up to his elbows high. I love them so.

...Panda, you just reminded me that I have pants like Kai's first season ones... yep, at one point, I could fasten them practically where my elbows were (only I didn't because then it looked ridiculous).
Oh lord-! rofl That photo! I saw that, and went "LOLwhut?" that first time I saw it. Gotta give credit to that Kai cosplayer, though; she can pull it off. 3nodding
Oh! Oh! Just remembered a scene in a friend's fanfic where the guys were at an indoor pool, and Kai was wearing not black, but white swim trunks! Quite the contradiction to what we imagine him to wear, ne? I know I would have had him in black, deep red or dark blue - even deep gray! But white? It's a possibility, I suppose...
Anyone seen Kai or any other Bey-character as mermen? It occurred to me that fishtails could be some kind of clothing... in a twisted sort of way that even I can't understand (my mind is becoming weird)... sweatdrop

White = seethrough.
'nuff said.
XD But Kai's pants have the awesome distinction of being fastened at a normal height. They then- for NO APPARENT REASON- poof up to his elbows anyway.

DUDE! V-FORCE!! When they flash back to their team picture after that championships Kai has midriff showing! Check it out! I swear on my colourpencils it's true.
Oh my god! I had forgotten all about Kai's Grampa pants!! I made fun of those so much! Dude, white = see through is the first thing I thought of when I read Flame's post. x'D Good times, good times. Pfft~ Imagining Kai in patterned boxers is cause for hundreds of hours of entertainment.

I think I have a screencap of that. I'll need time to check, though; I organize my file folders in such a way that sometimes, even I forget who I'd arranged 'em. sweatdrop
Oh dear lord... satin boxers! *dies* Just what I didn't need the night before a report on Japanese art. lol
On a whim, I typed in the name "Kai" in Google, and after scanning several pages of the same screencaps - Beyblade, and a few from Akira xD; - I came across this guy.
I know about the band the GazettE, but I didn't know their drummer was named Kai! After I went a few pages further, I found a photo of the guy wearing a zip-up vest with the words "The Anti-Social" on it. I swear, I WILL draw Kai H. in that outfit at some point! It's just so fitting~
...great. Now I've got images of Kai H. in visual kei get-up... complete with mascara (think the G-Rev thick eye outline thingamajigs =P ). ((WAI did I type "gauy" earlier?! It's like I couldn't make up my mind between 'guy' and 'gay'... XDDD; ))
