Advanced-Literate Role-play Search
I am an advanced, literate female looking for a long-term role-play. As some of you may know, finding a good role-play that challenges your skills as well as entertains you is quite difficult nowadays. I'm hoping that this thread helps you in your search, as well as helping me in mine. Okay, well, read on for more details.
Currently craving: something new...

Guidelines
~I ask that you please be at least literate. I do not expect you to be any Charles Dickens, but a good two to three paragraphs per post/reply shouldn't be too hard. I will reply with a similar amount, depending on the role-play.
~I am looking for a heterosexual role-play. So, ladies, if you would like to role-play with me, please play as a man.
~I generally role-play over private messages, but if you could persuade me, then I might do a private thread. Might.
~I prefer 1x1 with the occasional NPCs, but I am not a big fan of playing two to three characters at a time. It just gets to be too much. I will, however, do a small group role-play, provided that you have other characters/people.
~Plots. I am pretty much open to anything. I don't really like to have a full plot laid out when we start; I like to make it up as I go. The occasional discussion about how to go on is fine, though. Also, I don't have many starters on reserve, mostly because I get tired of them and want to make up new ones. As I said, I'm more of a do-it-in-the-moment kind of girl.
~I tend to do more romances than any other genre. The romance cannot be the main focus, however. I want there to be action and adventure. Make things interesting.
~I won't stop the RP without letting you know, I expect the same courtesy. Let me know what I'm doing wrong and I'll do likewise. So that I know you read the rules, write 'Sunshine Sundays' in the subject box.
~Lastly, PM me when you wish to start. Please have an idea, an RPC, and/or a starter.

Work Sample [Feel free to respond to] **I can write in first person or third. The Leader. “Mummy! Look at what I brought you!” A small child came bounding through the tall reeds, a large daisy dangling from her pudgy fingers. Her features were drastically different from that of a human. Both she and her mother were adorned with elf-like ears. ; scales that were visible in spots on her nose, shoulders, and fingers; and the three horns that protruded from their foreheads: the equivalent to a crown. The girl ran and launched herself into the tender grasp of her mother’s arms, blissfully unaware of the turmoil that would soon besot her family. “Oh it’s beautiful, Tyla! Now run along inside; your father is looking for you.” The woman gently pushed the little girl, Tyla, towards the looming castle walls. “Bye, Mum! I’ll tell Daddy you’re coming up.” The older woman nodded, a sad smile set on her scaled face and followed the young princess back. The guard solemnly let the royal women through the large iron gates, the metal of his shields clinking against his halberd. The little girl ran off down the long vacant hallway, disappearing behind a corner in echoes of cheerfully oblivious laughter. “M’Lady, the king wishes for me to convey this message to you: the Morierea are on the march. Prepare for all-out war.”
10 Years Later
“Your Highness!” The call rang through the stone cavern and I spun around, the silken fabrics of my dress creating an irritating swishing sound around my ankles. My eyes looked over the guard once before giving him a curt nod to continue. “What is it, Sebastian?” The man cleared his throat and brought his left hand to his right shoulder in the military salute of my country. “Your Highness, your father calls you to his study, now.” My father, of course. With quick steps I made my way out of the desolate caverns located beneath the castle and up to the king’s rooms. I put my hand out and pushed the heavy stone door open, announcing my presence with a sharp rap of my knuckles to the stone. “What is it?” I asked, pushing a stray strand of fiery red hair from my face. “As the Crown Princess and Chief of War I need you to lead a battalion of troops to battle. The Morierea have made their way to the city of Duban. You need to keep them at bay.” I nodded, already processing the things I would need in my mind. “Yes, sir.” My father finally looked up at me from the papers that were crowding his desk, his eyes immediately darting back away from my face; my face that dangerously resembled that of my long-dead mother. “You may leave now.” A sigh escaped my lips before I had the chance to stop it and I took one last look at my aging father before making my way to my own chambers. About an hour later and I was standing on the steps of my home, my castle, facing a battalion of around 5,000 men and women settled on majestic horses. “My people!” I yelled out to the crowd, rasing my silver sword in the air, “It is our time! We will drive back the dark army of the Morierea, reclaiming the kingdom of Edrestasia once again!” I let my voice die out, knowing that it would be followed by the cheers of my army. Once the noise had died down I kicked my horse in the flanks and thundered down the steps, through the parting army yelling, “We ride, my brethren!” A huge smile was plastered on my face, my pointed ears twitching in the ecstasy of being in command of my army once again. The ground shook beneath the pounding hooves of our steeds and within four hours of hard riding we were outside the gates of Duban. Each rider mounted the spare horse he brought, handing the tired one to a servant. Once again I spoke to my people, standing up in the stirrups of my silver-embroidered saddle. “Now, my loves. We fight!” I raised my voice in the battle cry of my family, waving my sword in the air. With a squeeze of my knees into its sides, my horse was tearing down the path and into the city. But we did not have the element of surprise as I had expected, oh no. They knew. They knew I was coming and they were ready. I screamed for my warriors to turn back, but I did not know if they obeyed my orders. The Morierea were launching a big black ball from a long black barrel, some new weapon I suppose. The black ball came careening through the air and landed right in my path, sending bits of rock and dirt flying into my face. I felt my horse go down, the enormity of its weight making me gasp for air as it lay on my small form. And then I blacked out.
Days Later
A fog, a thick fog was pushing against me. It felt like I was dreaming, but I knew I wasn’t…I was in too much pain. It felt as if I was struggling through this fog, meanwhile a symphony of hammers was beating at my head. My body was lying on a hard cot. I moaned and tried to speak, “Nehhfsh.” Something stirred to my right and I opened my eyes, the blurry shapes turning into people: a physician and a young man. I brought my hand to my face in confusion. Who were these strange people? Where was my army? And then it hit me. I sat up quickly- too quickly- and was beat back down by a wave of dizziness. We were charging…there were strange flying balls…one landed before me… I turned my head towards the young man and cleared my throat, “Wh-where are my people? They escaped, didn’t they?” He smirked at me and for the first time I let my eyes take him in: his brown jacket with the gold lining, the black breeches and riding boots, and the long, jagged sword at his belt. The sharp intake of my breath almost sent me into a coughing fit. He wasn’t one of mine. He was a Morier. The leader.
