Last night had been another bad night... he'd woken up in the middle from a terrible nightmare and had never been able to fall asleep again. In it, terrible lions, fair glowing with power, had spread wings of fire and torn into his father, ripping his own wings from him. Dreams like that were common for the young cub, much as he hated them. Why did they plague him so? Maybe Ahai had the same dreams... it would be a great help if he could speak to his twin about them, confide in another creature the pain he felt in them.

-A mild grunt escaped Ahai as he stretched one last time, paws finally carrying him out into the sunlight. And as soon as the harsh light dimmed enough for his eyes to bear to be open, he quickly padded over to his twin, a playful growl touching him in greeting. It seemed more appropriate then a purr really.. for whatever strange reason.
But for it's brother the meaning was purely playful and light, not the warning that it held when sounded towards any other. Yawning wide, he tried to peek and figure out what Matsai might have been doing, unsure of how long before him he'd left the den.- "What're you doing Matsai?" -He asked finally letting his back paw scratch at his stomach lightly.-

A flicker at the corners of Matsai's mouth was his greeting to his brother, followed by a flick of his golden-tipped tail. His paw lashed out to bat at his twin's head, his own growl rippling in his chest. "I was thinking, Ahai..." He chuckled as he danced back out of reach. "And sitting. What did it look like? Unlike some lions, I use my brain once in a while."
The jibe was gentle, a playful prod with no malice attached. The blue cub paced around his mirror image, carefully keeping his eyes on him at all times. No telling what Ahai might do, and better to be prepared than to find himself pinned to the stone in play. Ahai was... wonderful, to say the least. No one else understood him quite like his twin, even if they didn't always get along like twins should.

"Yeah yeah." -His eyes rolled softly back taking the playful taunt with a grain of salt, as he offered back matter of factly.- "And brains are overrated."
-Watching with a smirk as his twin began to circle and move around him, he couldn't help but feel comforted, joy even. For as often as his other siblings found a way to grate upon his nerves, Matsai was always there to do the oppisite. To sooth whatever bit had been frayed.
But his mind was not on any of that today, his twins mirrored nightmares pushed aside nearly as soon as the sun had touched the cub's eyes. He was going to get him! That pace was just too tempting.
But instead of pouncing and knocking him over, Ahai grinned, hopping up on back legs as he tried to push himself up onto his twin. Waiting to see if the weight would knock him down, or if he'd end up going for a ride.-

"Hey!" Matsai squeaked in surprise as his twin jumped onto him. "I'm not an antelope!" Growling in mock anger, the cub let his legs crumble beneith him and rolled to try and escape his brother's hold, paws flailing at the blue hide. Roaring (for a cub) his challenge, he scrambled onto his paws and pounced back towards his brother. Yes, a little rough and tumble... just what he needed to clear his mind of the past night. Dreams were terrible things, Matsai had come to learn, and to be avoided at all times.
At least Ahai didn't give Matsai dreams when they touched. That seemed to be an inevitable thing whenever the blue cub came in contact with another creature. The dreams would well up, flooding his mind, and they normally featured the creature itself. Mother and father didn't bother him as much, since the dreams were rare, but only with Ahai did he see nothing at all. Thankful for that small grace, Matsai yowled happily, his limbs flailing.
