It wasn't normal for her to be out in broad daylight. Well, she was always out but to be wandering out in an open, empty field for the world to see her, that was strange. At a very young age she was taught the wrong thing. She was taught, by her mother no less, that she wasn't good enough for them....them being everyone...anyone. She was taught that she wasn't pretty, wasn't smart...just not good enough. Since then her mother tried to take back what she said and fix her youngest child, but Tiramisu never forgot those words.

But the mare now, as the days past, tried to gain courage to venture out past the deep thickets of the forest. She has lived what she took to be a decent amount of life and yet she has no friends. Not even an acquaintance who, if she bumped into again, would even recognize her. No one. Only her parents, siblings....and grandfathers.

And the young, tiny mare knew that wasn't right. Beyond all her hesitance and shyness she knew that everyone deserved to be happy. Everyone deserved a friend, a lover....whatever. Perhaps even just someone to share a conversation with, if she would ever be able to bring herself to do so. But if the mare were to be caught by her mother, out here in the open, she'd give her that explanation. It was about time Tiramisu found something interesting.

About time she smiled for real. Laughed.

The young mare tilted her head to the ground and grazed, but not before she kept her ocean-blue eyes alert, waiting and secretly wanting to catch someone walking toward her. Perhaps they'd come to her, perhaps they'd speak up first. Hopefully. If said soquili did not speak, like herself, she'd be a pickle. A big....pickle. Would Tiramisu be able to speak first? Say hello? It wasn't that bad, she said hello to her family all the time!

But there was that panning fear of rejection and it overpowered her need for a friend. Heck, it overpowered her entire life. She lived in fear of someone other than her mother laughing at her, calling her stupid and ugly...

Hopefully today wouldn't be the day to confirm her fears.
