I have drank before. Highly overrated. Don't do it anymore. Have lived with the consequences of others drinking excessively and it was ugly.

Loved wine coolers and fruity drink when I did imbibe for 3 months, but then gave it up.

When you are old enough, please be very careful if you do choose to drink. Remember some of the cardinal rules:

1. Never, ever take a drink from a stranger. You don't know what they put in it.
2. Never drink too much...you will get really sick, you may pass out and other people could do something to you when you are to out of it to take care of yourself. We had a friend that almost died of alcohol poisoning once and if his brother hadn't found him he would have been a goner. Have a file in the office where a guy got loaded, drove off an enbankment into a lake and drowned.....too out of it to even try and save himself.
3. Never drink and drive...not only are you endangering yourself, but everyone on the road too. Not only is it stupid, but the fines you get and increased premiums on your insurance will make you cry for 10 years afterward which is the amount of time it stays on your record. I should know...we have a family member that fits this profile.
4. Always take money for cab fair or a friends agreement to pick up up and take home so that if you get ditched you can still get some safely if you are loaded.
5. Be careful not to confuse buzzed with all is right with the world. Tomorrow you will wake up and everything will still be the way it was that depressed you in the first place.


Morale of this story is it is your decision, but be careful.....

My mom used to let me sip some of her wine from the time I was about 14-15 or so when we went to dinner parties. She always said that I should know what it tastes/smells like in case I go out to a party, so I can tell if someone's put alcohol in my drink.

From doing just that, I've discovered I hate red and/or white wine (which my mom loves) as well as beer. I only like fruit wine or something sweet that resembles chocolate milk.

Now that I'm old enough to drink I surprisingly don't get the urge to very often. I'd much rather have pop than booze. It's sweeter and doesn't leave that warm feeling in your throat. I also have this personal rule that I never have more than one glass of alcohol, that's been very easy for me to follow.

my mom allows me to drink a small sip of her wine if i choose to but i don't... unless i can't find anything else worth drinking at that given moment. if anything, i'll be a wine drinker in 5 years. so until then, cheers to soda -drinks till i'm hyper...ish-

I prefer Champagne to Wine, but I've had both. Because my dad is Peruvian, it's traditional for me to have Champagne on my 13th birthday (and from then on, or wine), or any big event, like New Years or Christmas dinner. I honestly don't mind Margaritas, or Diquaris, but I only like strawberry Diquaris (with a tiny dash of alcohol, not too much or it tastes nasty)

It was purely accidental that I learned that I liked alcoholic Diquaris, because on vacation once, the bartender forgot to rinse the blender after making my dad's drink, so I got the leftover alcohol in it. xD;

No beer, though, but I dunno. I've never had it.

But I do know that I can already taste the difference between a good Champagne, like Proseco, versus a cheap Champagne, like at massive parties. My dad got three alcoholic drinks instead of two, so I had the third while he went to find my bro a virgin drink. >> It was way too cheap to be good, but I still drank it.

I'm old enough to drink now, but all the way along I've had tastes. Granted they were limited and always supervised. Mom wanted me to know what it tasted like so I'd know if somebody tried to slip booze in my drink xD

Generally I prefer sweet/fruit wine or something either chocolate flavored or Baileys. Nothing bitter, and never beer. Beer tastes like piss to me. My parents tell me you're supposed to drink it really cold so you don't taste it anyway but idk I still won't drink it xD
