"When we are older you'll understand what I meant when I said 'no'" I don't think life is quite that simple K...now...from what I am interpretting from these verses....it sounds to me that (maybe...just a guess)...Maybe...Sora represents the 'voice' in the song...and he's telling Riku that he doesn't want to be away from him, but...fears that the 'adult figures' will like...go ballistic...cuz (don't shoot teh messanger) to most people, homosexuality isn't 'normal'...(someone define normal for me????) So...What if they KNOW they love eachother, neither's blind to the fact, but...Because of....hm...how to put this...'Social' circumstances, and their 'ages'...then...they couldn't let anyone know???? That it's not just as simple as saying....hey...we're us...we're together...and you ain't gonna do an effin thing about it....so yeah...there's what I think that verse means....o-O so there....lemme know what ya think... 3nodding

Whenever I hear that song, it always seems like the words are coming from Sora's heart... You know, they really, REALLY put minimal kairi influence in the intro's visuals, along with the seemingly complete absence of kairi-centric symbolism. I mean, everyone here knows this, but the entire freaking game is just one huge SoraxRiku hint! Alas... the sqaresoft/enix (I forget which it is) people will neeeeeeeever admit it. CURSE THEM! evil

I am playing KH: CoM and I have been thinking of what Riku and Sora say to each other...like when Sora says hes been looking for Riku all along and doesn't understand why Riku id shutting him out. Then he asks Riku to come with him and Riku shouts for Sora to stop worming his way into his heart...or trying to. Sora is surprised and denys it while Riku shouts before running away, "You never cared about my feelings!"
I think that is the most BIGGEST hint as to the fact that Riku loves Sora...it was so sad... cry

Takana Kaza! Wow, I never thought about Simple and Clean that way. But you have to remember Simple and Clean and Hikari are not the same song...they have different lyrics. Now that I look over it though, Simple and Clean's lyrics relate more to Riku and Sora's relationship while Hikari's lyrics relate more to the game concepts itself. Light and darkness and stuff. And Kairi. D:

Riku's POV! Riku wants to prove his love for Sora...but how? Right? "But does that mean I have to walk on water?" goes back to the whole Kairi seperation thing. I'm sticking to the idea that Kairi represents the ocean. If that's true, Riku has to win Sora's heart by getting rid of Sora's affections for Kairi. But think about it, nobody can walk on water...it's impossible. So maybe getting rid of Sora's affections for Kairi isn't the right way to go about it. "When we are older you'll understand
It's enough when I say so" The easiest way to go about it is, ding ding! That's right! Coming out and telling him you love him! "And maybe some things are that simple" It seems simple enough...but it's probably the hardest thing in the world to do. Maybe someday in the future Riku'll finally tell Sora he loves him. <3
