With his children rapidly growing up, it was time for him to consider; would Safuma and the family be ready for a bigger family? He was certainly ready for such a gift. He loved his mate. Her scent. Her presence. Her smile. Her words. The thought of her made him smile and perk up more than his usual self. Because she is direct royalty, the Pride Land beauty is usually called off to Pride Rock for whatever reason. Though he had no quam with it, he was happy to stay with the family and watch over them. Because of her lack of presence now and again, he had recruited a young male to aid him, Aeonus.
Nowadays, the once cubs were up and about slowly moving away from him. Eiji'dai was still roaming about with his mother and word has it, from his friends, that he was thinking of joining a far away pride. Ela'dwyn or Ela'dwight or something like that. Proud of his son, he would gave his blessing when the young seer would return to his birthplace. Taalis had disappeared and Aeonus knew her whereabouts but chose not to say where. If Aeonus was keeping a secret from him about his daughter, it only worried him further, but if Aeonus was constantly leaving .... Taalis must be alright.
So it was just another dull day in Ezekiel's adult life. His youthful flirting was slipping away as the days go away. Safuma was his beloved, but sometimes he wondered if it was all that horrible to spend time with other females out of friendship.
Of course, not in the way that just sounded.

Since finally finding that "SPESHUL SOMEWUN" she could spend time arguing and fighting with (They didn't bother with official titles, but he was definitely "hers" and he claimed that she was "his", in a posessive sort of roundabout way of caring, or at least as close as they'd EVER get to admitting they did.) she had learned to relax a little. Not to say she'd been uptight before, but--
In any case, she hadn't been back through the Pridelands an exceptional amount of times in a while, and with their cubs grown and Ahai and her having just parted ways after one of their "spats" she set off to see what she could find to do. Besides, she did have godly duties, like tearing land and lives apart.
She snarled quietly and ripped up another chunk of grass, sending it flying with her bare paws. For once she didn't feel like unleashing her fury with a wild wind storm and was content to dig her claws into something instead. As she stared out over the gorge, one of her favorite places, she thought back on the few familiar faces she had over the last two or three years. Her family first, vaguely some of her mother's pride members, Mrost, Ezekiel, that power house, Trigger, and perhaps her favorite friend-- Nissa. More recently, but still about a year ago, she'd met her baby sister Oki, and shockingly grown attached to the little runt, though no one knew about it, let alone could guess it. When one considered that her courtship with Ahai had consisted of a contest of "Who can kill the most mortal predators"... well, no surprise.

The male was seeking out Aeonus again, just to ease his mind that his daughter was fine out wherever she was. From time to time, the white pride lander would head toward the gorge for hunting. The gorge was a special place for the adult male for being the place where he had met the beautiful, but fierce, Goddess of Tornadoes.
Crimson eyes fell upon that familiar figure, bringing a smile to his face.
"Well, what a pleasant surprise this is," his soft tenor voice called out to the Goddess. Unknowing of events that just passed, the Pride Lander pushed closer. "Now what are you doing here, Lady Chamchela?"
Looking at her, he remembered how beautiful she was, in her own rough, tough way. Things have changed since they last met. He was larger, stronger, and more mature. Plus, he was a father of fourteen cubs and has a mate. But that didn't mean he couldn't admire an old friend, right?

Elly sensed him coming, but as was a bad habit of hers she tended to ignore the subtle presences of mortals, especially in a place TEEMING with life like the Pridelands. She rumbled and eyed a few herd beast in the gorge valley that were either skittish just for being skittish, or had noticed her aggravated moves. If she was just in the mood for a little mayhem she might just go down there and knock one of them over. She could almost feel her claws tearing into it's--
WHOAH WHO WAS THAT?! D<
The goddess whipped her head around quickly to glare over her shoulder, but the expression faultered into neutral instead, she knew that title, and that voice. It was a little deeper than she recalled, but it definitely belonged to her once first crush, Ezekiel.
She snorted tersely and turned a bit more to face him a little better, flipping her tail idly.
"Don't you just sound so welcoming?"
It was as close to a polite greeting as Elly got these days, and had she been serious it would have had some real bite to it, but it was just her usual mannerism speaking.
"Blowing off steam. Didn't think you'd still be around."

"Forgive me, haven't actually talked to another female for some time, so I may be a little rusty," he replied, moving closer boldly, having faith that their bonds of friendship was still there between them. The young male chuckled at her following reply to his question.
"Blowing off some steam. Don't suppose you plan to send out another devastating gust down there on those helpless creatures," Ezekiel smirked as he sat himself down nearby.
Yup, still the same Elly, the first Goddess he had a crush on and the one who slipped away. Though, there are dreams where she is present with his other lady friends. She was bigger herself, her body and aura screamed strength and power. And it seemed she had some bindings on her paws and neck. Catching himself staring, he jerked his attention back to her.
"Want to talk about it? I mean why you're blowing off steam. Something must have really ticked ya off," he paused. "If you don't mind me asking, of course, Lady Chamchela."

"Self proclaimed ladies lion, are you?" She quirked a brow, by now no longer phased by closer proximity, not now that she had gotten over those old adolescent feelings. "No, don't feel like it. It's not paws-on enough for me." She shook her head, not catching the tease, distracted. He had gotten bigger, his voice not the only thing matured. His mane was grown full in now, he'd found his final size, or at least his adult size, and he seemed calmer too. The joys of growing up.
When asked if she wanted to talk about it, first she gave him a LOOK. Did she REALLY look like the chatty feeling type? But...
"Men are idiots." She shrugged. ".... No offense....... I guess."

"Nah, I agree with ya, we are p***y whipped when it comes to our females. We would jump off cliffs if it made them happy, then again, only an idiot would treat his female with disrespect. If that's the case, he will be regretting it later," Zeki scoffed and shrugged. It wasn't entirely his place to say this or that, but it was his nature to speak his mind. Though he was an adult, he no longer had those persistant urges, though there were still urges, they weren't as strong.
"Well, maybe you can just blow off some steam with me rather than some feeble creatures as those below us," he added, looking over the cliff cautiously. Rather him take any sort of pain than them, they were food after all and if Elly was gonna kill them... meh, whatever, he was here and it was in his nature. Zeki only chuckled at THE LOOK.

Elly had a short laugh at that, especially at the irony of how wrong that statement was. Oh man but if he just knew Ahai!
"J-jump off cliffs?! I wish it was that easy!" Her "mate" was far less concerned with what made her happy and far more concerned with strength, after all, and at first so was she, and even now it was a bit of a close call, but what she did her absolute damnest to hide from him was the fact that at some point she had started to care about him and what he wanted. A damned mortal of all people!
Her laughter choked off to a stop at his suggestion, and had it come from anyone but Ezekiel she wouldn't have reacted so. She stared at her former crush for a bit, eyeing him warily and wondering if Ahai hadn't just completely corrupted her brain.
"What are you suggesting...?"

"Well, that was an exaggeration, I wouldn't certainly jump off a cliff if it were to make my loved ones happy. I would die and that would kinda make them sad... at least I hope it would or I just put my love in the wrong place," He hoped his loved ones would care about him enough to grieve for him if he had passed on. He did still have feelings for Elly, he could hide it all he wanted but it was still there. His adolescent crush was standing in front of him and he couldn't really act upon it either.
He loved Safuma. She was his mate.
"I understand you aren't the talkative type, in fact, you and I don't exactly match per say. I mean, I would want to hold and embrace my girl and talk to her and make her happy. I could imagine you to not like that much, but I am here for you."
Ezekiel got closer and smiled at her.
"I am available for a while so you can vent all you want, do whatever you want, that's what friends are for, right?"

"Well I should certainly hope not. There's sure as hell no amount of peer pressure worth killing or seriously harming yourself over..."
A smirk this time. Chamchela shook her wings out before casting them away with an illussion, seeing no need to display them.
"You know me too well."
She sighed, now the fun part, because she WAS curious--
"So, what have you been up to?"

Zeki chuckled as he moved away from the gorge's edge and flopped upon his back, stretching with a soft groan. Oh how good that felt. Crimson eyes turned to the female Goddess, eyeing her in her full glory as a goddess. He smiled.
"I'll be honest. I've sired fourteen little ones and they've gone and grown up. One of them hasn't spoken to me and I worry about her. One of her friends pass through here all the time and I was hoping he was here, but I found you instead."
Ezekiel finally breathed and looked up at the sky, thinking of his daughter. Remembering her smile, her laugh, and her tomboyish-take-no-crap-from-any-male attitude. One day, he will see her again and he will be able to tell her how much he missed her. He could only hope she was safe.
"What about you? Surely you found someone to sire cubs, right?"

(9:43:18 PM) Tahja Estes: Elly watched him, staring. FOUR. TEEN? FOURTEEN?! Wait, what was that? Worried about what? Friends? .... Oh well. She never claimed to be the best listener.
"Seriously, fourteen....? Ah.... well, I guess. We had three." She shrugged casually, trying to hide any traces of embarassment to be talking about any semblance of a "love life".
(9:50:23 PM) PhiferWolf: "Yeah, fourteen. Granted one with a lovely Goddess, her name was Rhin-yi, of the Hunt. She did not want to be alone in her travels and requested I sire her a litter. And I did. Though, some stay here while some follow her. And I had my litter with Safuma, my own mate, so as you can see, I am a busy father since my mate has royal duties at Pride Rock," Ezekiel chuckled as he laced his paws over his chest. He wasn't going to lie to Elly about what happened. Revealing the fact that he bedded a Goddess was often a shock to some, but he was proud and honored that one had asked it upon a mortal to do so. Though, there were plenty of stories of such incidents.
"And by "we" you aren't referring to the royal use of the word, correct? I mean, you had a litter of three, and I hope this mate of yours isn't the cause of your aggrivation," Ezekiel questioned. He motioned her over to him by patting his belly. Knowing that she wasn't the type to lay her head down upon his body, or anything, he thought it polite to offer a place to lay a head while they spoke.

(10:07:28 PM) Tahja Estes: Elly rolled her eyes, simply, at the proud declaration. Mortals "bedding" gods, pfft. It seemed her kind was destined for it. She wasn't sure why it annoyed her to hear it but it did somehow, so she was ready to dismiss it. She was more curious of the fact that his mate was still with him. Was it before their time?
"Must be awfully forgiving, your mate." She replied somewhat dryly, settling down where she'd once stood, facing him as he laid on his back. Her tail came to curl about her paws then as she watched him alternately with the scenery. "Royal? Why would it be royal? He's just some guy with a big ego. He's fun to argue with I guess."
She shot him a sharp look then, just silently DARING him to make some off handedly perverted comment about arguments and "making up after". Somehow it was just what she expected. Sometimes Zeki was just a bit too casual and relaxed with her for her tastes. That mood changed often, but when it came to Ahai she didn't want her guy friends joking casually about it. Him. Them. WHATEVER!
"Safuma? Oh yes, Rhin-yi and I had this litter before mine with Safuma. From time to time, Rhin returns here to check upon me and her cubs to assure that they are safe," he smiled at her, unknowing what was brewing in her head. She watched her movements carefully for any cues for him to get up and run for it. Or at least prepare for an attack. Knowing Elly, her attacks would definitely need defending, no walking-off any of this crap.
"The royal we is a term when we is referred to as one person. That is why I asked," Zeki smirked. If she said he's fun to argue with, it meant she saw something in this male of hers. Aside from allowing him to sire her litter. Understandable about the ego bit, he was certain that he knew one or two lions who would boast about having a Goddess/God love them.
When she shot that glare at him, he cocked a brow, at this point, most of her "looks" didn't faze him. He knew the look, it was as if she was waiting for him to say something. He shrugged, smiled, and looked at her. "If he bothers you that much, you could take it out on him rather me or the prey below."
Ezekiel sighed and laid his head back to look at the sky. If he kept acting the way he was, it would only off put the Goddess and not talk to him or get near him for that matter. "But if you are going to take out some aggravation on someone, why not this male rather me or the prey? Though, I would prefer you staying here with me and venting about s**t than going on brooding. If you want to keep this all bottled up and let it out in one giant tornado, by all means go ahead. Though, I insist you stop letting your domain control every fiber of your being to the point that you have to constantly destroy s**t to feel better about something."
After he said it, he almost felt like he regretted it.
