They were in one of those old fashioned restaurants where you had to wait in line to be seated. Why? Well, because Thali had been having cravings ever since the girls had been born. Especially for Italian. Since her husband had opted not to come with (he'd had enough spagetti to last him a life time), Thali decided to make it a girl's night out. Meaning the two boys were hanging out with their father that evening, likely to be ordering pizza.
When they were finally seated, Thali carefully placed the twins in booster seats. Neither of them were quite pleased with this arrangement. Sammi kept squirming and trying to escape. She would much rather be seated on her mother's lap. Didn't Mommy know that? Didn't Mommy know that she'd be good? Didn't Mommy know...
Well, maybe adults weren't as smart as they pretended to be.

Gabrielle held the carrier like the other women were holding their purses. With Elisabetta still at daycare, this would truly be one of the first outings that the woman had ever had with her new child alone. Looking down she noticed that Bailey's eyes were open. "Have a good nap?"
It twisted it's head to the side and yawned before curling back into it's blanket. Sleepy time was now, no matter what mommy said.
Her office had given her a big break by allowing her to bring the babe with her to work. The staff took turns with feeding, cuddling, playing and doing the dirty work. She really was grateful to have such a wonderful group of people working along side her.
Right now she was on her break and after promising to brink back bread sticks, she walked into the main eating area.
Immediately she spotted Thali and her daughters. She didn't know how she'd done it, but all the same she asked her waiter to sit her next to them. "Hello, hello."

Thali looked up to spot Gabrielle. She gave her friend a bright smile. "Hi, Ellie." She greeted, before she set eyes on the bundle. Her smile grew. "You didn't tell me you had a baby." She sounded slightly accusing, though her smile never left her face. "Have you met my two? I know Elisa knows them." She paused, and looked to her toddlers. "You two know Ellie?" She asked.
"Lissy's Mommy?" Sammi offered. By the look on her face, she didn't know much more about the woman. "Hi Lissy's Mommy!" The freckled toddler gave a wave and a smile.
Reiya studied the woman for a moment. "Hi Lissy's Mommy." She said, without her sister's excitement. She smiled politely, but something else had caught her eye. The baby.
"Wat oor baby name?" She asked.

Gabrielle laughed and took a seat next to Thali. "It's not like I was pregnant or anything. I'm infertile, so just like Elisabetta, I had to adopt." After giving the waiter her drink order, she pulled a chair closer to her own and sat Bailey's carrier in it. Giving it a little shake the babe awoke, blinking wearily at the strangers before yawning again. It's little ears poked out around it's hair as it stretched it's arms out. "Some really weird kids gave her to me."
Looking at the twins, Gabrielle smiled. "I've definately heard enough about them. The one with pigtails is Sammi and the one without is Reiya. Elisa couldn't shut up about them. " She noticed Reiya's attention to Bailey and very gingerly, picked the tiny being up. It's sleeping outfit was cut out in the back, allowing it's wings to unfold and flop sleepily before it grasped Gabrielle's shirt. "Her name is Bailey."

Thali blinked for a moment, before nodding. "I didn't think so." She said. She moved closer, to look at Bailey. "She looks... fae." She commented, before frowning slightly. "Weird kids....Did they have orangish hair?" She asked, though she already knew the answer. Darcy and Aaron. The same kids who had saved her babies. She hadn't known they gave already made babies as well--that was interesting.
Reiya smiled. "Pwetty name." She complimented. "Pwetty Bwailey." She paused, and looked back to the woman. "Where Lissy?" She asked, with a slight tilt of her head.
"Where Lissy?" Sammi echoed, though she sounded as if she thought Gabrielle was hiding her somewhere. She tried looking behind the woman.

"Oh, she's definately fae." Gabrielle looked down at Bailey, noting the cuffed ears and the little wings. "I just don't know what kind, really. There's so many." It bothered her that she couldn't place her child's origins. At least if she could she would know what to expect later on.
She thought for a moment, then copied Thali and nodded her head. "Ya, two of them did anyway. There was one who was holding onto Bailey who had purple hair." Gabrielle sighed and shook her head just remembering the day. "She threw the biggest fit because she couldn't stay with that girl. Bailey still isn't comfortable with me as her mom."
Bailey looked at the two girls. It rubbed its eyes to make sure it was seeing the right thing. There was two of them. Shyly, it buried it's face in Gabrielle's shirt and tucked it's wings around it's body.
"Lissy's at daycare." She answered simply, trying to pry Bailey off. "She's got friends there that she likes to play with."

"She's seelie." Thali commented, vaguely. "You know, the good sort--though I suppose unseelie are good, too." She had recieved a glare from her freckled daughter. She leaned in, and lowered her voice so only Gabrielle could hear.
"I know they're only toddlers, but I think Samantha's got a crush. Or...well, it could be an obsession. I have a close friend that's fae, maybe she could help you discover what kind your daughter is?" She suggested with a shrug. She paused. "Oh, you mean Jaella." She said, a smile coming to her face. "She's a sweetheart. I don't like Darcy much.. Let's say we don't see eye to eye."
Sammi frowned, wasn't she Lissy's best friend? Why didn't Lissy want to play with her? No fair. "I wan Lissy." She said, in that all too familar threatening-to-throw-a-tantrum tone.
"Lissy, Lissy." Reiya agreed, nodding. She didn't seem quite as upset about Lissy not being there as her sister did.

"Seelie, huh?" Gabrielle nodded. It could be very possible, seeing as she didn't have a clue as to what the hell that word meant or what it could possibly have to involve Bailey. She leaned in with Thali, holding Bailey out as if the infant could pass secrets between them. " A crush, already? Oh, thats so sweet. " She smiled. "Puppy love. I don't know how to feel that people younger than me are getting all mooshy when I'm not."
Bachelorette til death. Yup, that was Gabrielle.
"But I see where your coming from. If she could help, that'd be nice, but maybe for now....I dunno, it's not really that big of a concern, so long as she's happy." At the mention of Darcy, Gaby held out her hand with the biggest grin on her face. "Glad to know someone shares my sentiments. I just wanted to punch her."
Bailey peeped over it's shoulder and looked at the twins. It picked up a nearby straw, as if on a natural instinct and put it up to it's lips, blowing spit bubbles all around it as it tried to play a song.

"Yeah. A good fairy," Thali explained vaguely. The elf had a smile on her face. "Oh yes, it's adorable! But I don't think Matth thinks so. See, he's so much older... It's so funny. I had to make her a doll of him so she could go to sleep. She calls him her Kitty. Come to think of it, she calls Jaella that too." She took Bailey from Gabrielle gently.
Sammi stopped threatening to have a tantrum when she heard that. "Kitty?" She asked, looking around. "Where?"
Thali shook her head, chuckling. "See what I mean? I've got to say though, Reiya's the most normal out of my four. Well, personality wise. I suppose causing storms isn't very normal, is it?"

Gabrielle laughed. "That poor man! He must be a real lady killer to have them coming at him when their still so young. " She grinned, leaning back in her seat to take a look at the menu. "She calls everyone with pointed ears Kitty, doesn't she? I remember Lissy saying something about that. Now I can't call my cat Kitty because she's kitty so he has to be Bob."
Bailey blew spit from the end of the straw, slurping some of it back up as it was passed around. Curiously, it tilted its head up to look at Thali, the straw slipping out around it's lips.
"It could be normal, considering what else you have to compare it with. But, then again, what is normal?" Her cellphone buzzed it in her pocket, making her jump. "Oh, sorry. I'll just take this really quick. " She flipped it open and covered the speaker end with her hand, nodding along and saying some words before closing it on a sigh. "It seems that Lissy has been expelled from daycare. Looks like you get your wish, girls. Their dropping her off within the half hour."

Thali nodded at Gabrielle. "She does, with the exception of me, and Reiya," she said with a smile. "Well, and Risa, she's my friend; and Samantha's rival in winning Matth's heart. I don't think she likes her much, or she'd have a nickname." Thali smiled down at Bailey. "You know, if you're trying to make spit wads, that's not exactly how you do it," she said. "But I won't show you how, since we're in a restaurant. Ask me when we're not in public."
Both Sammi and Reiya brightened when they heard that Lissy was coming. Neither of them seemed to understand that this was because Lissy had gotten into trouble, though neither of them would have probably minded even if they did know.
"Yay, Lissy Kitty!" Sammi said, clapping her hands together. What a surprise!

Bailey blew a gust of wind so hard in surprise that the straw fell to the floor. It looked wide eyed up at Thali, cheeks steadily growing red with a blush. It hadn't though the other big lady would talk to it, but now...she was staring...panic. The infant buried it's face in it's hands.
Gabrielle laughed and rubbed Bailey affectionately on the head. "I already have one hellion, so lets keep the secret between us, okay?" She looked up at Thali once again, taking a sip of her drink.
"Bread, ladies?" A waiter sidled up to the table with a basket full of fresh garlic bread, break sticks and something that Bailey really hoped wasn't alive.
"Yes, please." Gabrielle took a bit for her and handed Bailey a stick. "Try it; I know you'll like it."
Bailey looked sceptical, but took it anyway. In a mood swing so fast, it laughingly chucked it at Sammi's head.

Thali giggled at Bailey's expression. "Your mom doesn't want me to teach you," she said, glancing up at Gabrielle and giving a mischievous smile. "Of course, I would never teach my own children such things. Bailey's adorable when she's shy, you know," she added quickly. She watched as Bailey took the bread stick and threw it. She chuckled. "Maybe two trouble makers?"
Samantha didn't have the quick reflexes and keen observation skills her sister possessed, and so was hit by the breadstick. It bounced off one of her pigtails. A frown crossed her face. "No do that!" she said sternly, shaking one of her fingers. "I tell Lissy on you!"
Reiya had seen the entire thing. An amused smile was making it's way across her face.

Gabrielle groaned and pinched the bridge of her nose. "She takes after Lissy. Alot. " When she opened her eyes again, she was looking a bit ashamed and coughing into her hand, the human straightened up. "It is adorable. I've kind of been in denial because I don't know what to do, but it's an it. Bailey isn't a boy or a girl." Watching Sammi discipline the fae made her snicker. It looked like her mom getting onto her, or herself disciplining Lissy.
Bailey rolled it's eyes up the entire time Samantha was speaking, then lowered them with an innocent smile. It's hands reached out for Sammi. "No tell Wissy." It's voice was barely above a whisper. "Hug an' be otay." It blinked it's orchid eyes at Reiya, one hand held out to each twin. The momentum toppled Bailey out of it's carrier. Three sets of wings held it up, but the car seat crashed into a chair, toppling them both to the ground. "Oops."

Thali stared for a long moment, as if she was trying to think of what to say. "I think it would be easier to think of Bailey as one or the other," she muttered eventually. "I can't really blame you. In your situation, I would have done the same thing." She paused, and watched her daughter scold Bailey. An amused smile, identical to the one Reiya was wearing, crossed her face. It faded when she saw Bailey fall, and a look of concern took it's place. "That's right, I forgot you could fly," she said shaking her head. How could she have forgotten?
Sammi watched this, blinking her light brown eyes. "Kay, I no tell Lissy-Kitty on you," she told the flying infant with a smile. Silently she wondered if she could fly too. She would have to try it. "We friends, kay Bailey? I no tell. No worry. No more fall."
