You have a personal, a character you use for playing in this slayers guild don't you? Well in this contest you take a small part of your characters history and make it in to a little story. It can even be helping out their mommy with cookies or blasting away a cheating ex with some magic xD You get points for creativity and in general making the story interesting and basically fun to read.

SetFireGirl's Entree - 'Losing the thing most precious to you'.
“Come on Ali.” A voice murmured, taking my hand and leading me away from the harsh arguing whispers and outside into our spacious backyard.
I smiled up at my older brother, James, and we sat on the low stone wall that encased our yard. We sat in silence for a few minutes, me swinging my legs and humming and James just staring at the sky.
Finally, I had to ask. “Why do mommy and daddy argue about us?”
James sighed and it was a few moments before he responded. “They both want different things; mom wants you to go study to be a priestess and dad wants you to grow up independent. And they both want me to go to the mountains in the south and learn about serving Cepheid. But I don’t want to go, and they are blaming each other, saying it was the way they raised me.” He kicked a bush sullenly, his blue eyes angry.
I looked at the ground, my lip trembling. “But…Why do they have to fight about that? I mean…It’s really silly…And they can’t just fight about that all the time, but they almost never stop arguing…”
James bit his lip and said nothing.
I looked up at him, pleading for the truth; James never hid anything from me if I asked him directly, but sometimes he was reluctant to tell me things. “James nii-chan, why do they fight? I was talking to Aunt Sarah yesterday…She said that Golden Dragons, like mommy and daddy, have to stay together; but I also remember hearing something about ‘deevorces’. What’s a deevorce?”
“Divorce.” James corrected automatically, then hesitated. “A divorce…Is a human custom. When two married people aren’t getting along, they get a divorce and split up. Live separately. But dragons don’t get divorces because when they get married, a bond is created; our Elders would find it shameful that they weren’t committed enough to their bond…Plus, it’s past the trial marriage period…That only lasts for a decade, and they’ve been married for over a century.” he looked slightly depressed and I felt bad for asking.
“But…If they’re fighting…”
“Don’t worry; it’ll pass.” James assured me, smiling now. It was a forced smile, but I felt better, because James would never lie to me.
“Alivia! James! Inside, now!” A deep voice yelled, and I felt a sense of dread creep through my body.
Reluctantly, James and I jumped down off of the wall and hurried inside, not wanting to anger our father any more. Besides, we could talk later.

Or so I’d thought.
But that was what Father had called us in to talk about: I was being sent to the Temple and James was to go to a dragon settlement in the southern mountains and study there; there would be no discussion, there would be no use crying, and there would be no sense in missing each other. After all, we’d see each other after our studying was done, right?
Wrong.
Mom died in a fire and dad got ill, dying soon after. James and I only saw each other at the funerals, then we were sent away again, back to complete our training.
The thing is, James disappeared two decades later, when I was still a young teen, and him only barely an adult. By the time I had become a full-fledged priestess, I was alone, without the one person who cared for me. The one person who I had known all my life; the only family I had left.

surprised *whines* Awww, I had hoped that the fanart contest would at least get second place, but oh well. rolleyes There's still an art contest in here, so hip hip huzzah!

Actually, I'm glad that the Kouma Character Art Contest got in here....That should be fun. 3nodding I'm entering in both, m'kay? blaugh

good point xD Everyone entering the art contest should give sopme sort of visualization of their character out.

It's fine, oh and also new people to the guild should specify what race they are you know, mazoku, ryuzoku, human. You get the idea. xD

And in case you guys are confused about any of us older members you could always read the member list, that is if it still shows who's who. >w>;

Well you know Ty was a Ryuzoku in the beginning as well but he came to the dark side. twisted So now he's a Mazoku convert, maybe that's what you need. 3nodding

you'd have to draw that you know^^; why not create the look of your character? just do a quick chibi on its look so you don't need tektek and after you can go ahhh perfect~ That's around what i did but we didn't always have tektek.

its a lot easier on yourself to create the look for yourself instead of using the limitations and complications of tektek^^; you gonna be ok?
