Rp Log for Let It Rain Again...
Starring: Casalure (~Latonia de la Courtel~) & Vasire (DarkenWoodWolf)

~Latonia de la Courtel~
The one known as Casalure -the Storm's Singer- stalked through the lands. His tail lashing from side to side, ears flicking this way and that so his flakes could catch the vibrations the wind brought him. A storm boiled overhead, clouds once fluffy and white without a care in the world thrashing and writhing in on themselves until they boiled outward in ink-black rage. Thunder shook the very earth as lighting leapt and crackled from cloud to cloud, stray bolts forking down to blacken the ground around Casalure's paws- though they never once hit him.
To say he was displeased would have been an understatement. However, his aunt -the one they simply called Melody- had that effect on him.. Especially when she was sniffing around his den and stalking his mate. The lioness didn't know when to quit. She liked a challenge, and made it clear enough that the biggest challenge around lay in the fight her nephew presented.
"Contrary creature." Casalure sighed with a roll of his eyes as he continued to pace the lands. "Always sticking her nose in where she thinks it will provide the most entertainment..."

Vasire had been lounging in the sun, enjoying the warmth from the rock against his stomach, the heat from the sun on his back. It was his favorite place to be when, well, he wasn't anywhere near Cas. That was always his favorite place. At Cas' side. Or, well... Maybe not his side. Feeling his lips quirk at the thought of his lover, he stretched, wishing that Casalure was there with him to enjoy the sun when the sun... went away. Blinking, Vas opened his eyes to see stormed tossed skies.

"The hell?" Rising from the rock, Vasire scanned the lands that he could see, looking for that blue lion. The only reason for the skies to look like that would be the Storm Singer himself. But the question was what could have upset him quiet this much? Seeing the lightening strike somewhere to his left, Vas made his way in that direction. Yeah, that would be the place. Time to see if he could make the sun come out again.

Casalure batted a paw at a tuft of high grass, eyes narrowed as another bolt of lightning struck ground just to his right. His eyes were filled with the same flashing light, capable of illuminating or merely destroying, depending on a single whim. The same light, flickering like miniature bolts of lightning, danced around his paws like the mist that followed at his heels. The two pyreflies that accompanied him danced erratically on the wind his powers stirred, swaying away from him only to swirl back close to his body.
There was little that could bring him back from the edge he rapidly approached. The storm above now held the potential of a monsoon, with the power to spawn enough tornados to ravage the land. While Casalure would not let it do that much damage when in his right mind, he was not exactly in that state at the moment... Had not been since he left his Aunt's side.
'Too pretty for her own damn good...' He snarled to himself as another four bolts of lightning struck around him in succession. The flare of light would have temporarily blinded any approaching, unless the knew Cas's penchant for flash.
Then again, the only one foolish enough to approach knew Cas better than most. He could scent Vasire closing in, and turned slightly so the other male was approaching to one side. A head on meeting would only ramp him up more for an argument, and Vas was one he did not want to fight. The Fayth bowed his head, letting his black mane stream into his face as he closed his eyes. His voice held all the rumble of thunder when he spoke, a faint smile curling at his lips... "Hello, Foolish Jewel Prince."

Vasire brushed up against Casalure's side, putting his nose under the other males, rubbing along the soft fur there. He still has his eyes closed. The Storm Singer and his damn lightning. It wasn't something new, which was probably a good thing. By the way the hair raised on his body as he got closer to the male, the shock of the thunder, if he'd had his eyes open, he'd be blind. Then he'd never be able to see his pretty lover again. And that would have been a fate worth than death. Which was why he'd had his eyes closed. Opening them slowly, he caught a glimpse of that small, faint smile. The world flashed and spun and growled. Yeah, his lover was not a happy boy.

Drawing his head back, he raised it, looking down at his lover now. He was hoping that the motion wouldn't spark the lion into a fight. It was hard to tell, with the blue boy so agitated. But, keeping his head that low hurt his neck. And, well, Vas just wasn't good at being submissive. ""Foolish? Why would you call me such a think, my love?" He smiled like he wasn't standing in the center of a possible monsoon. Yeah, everything was right with the world. Only it wasn't.

Casalure huffed at the arrogant male at his side, grinning slightly as Vasire shucked the submissive air and went back to being simply who he was. An arrogant, sometimes foolish Prince.
"If I didn't like you so much, you'd be a hot meal right about now..." Cas said in a conversational tone, eyes fixing on the male at his side as he sat and tilted his head back.
As if waiting for that cue, the clouds opened. A rush of rain fell to them, slicking Cas's mane back and darkening his coat to a deep-twilight hue. The glow of his markings and legs was not dimmed in the slightest, flaring in the rain against his soaked coat like flashes of lightning contained on his form.
"Most know better than to strut into the heart of a storm..." He flicked his tail, tapping Vas's haunches teasingly. "I should think you to be amongst their number.. And yet? Here you sit in the eye of the storm. Care to tell me the intelligence in that? I'm afraid I don't see it."

"What are you talking about? I already am a hot meal. Or, well, I should say, I could offer you something hot..." Vasire's eyes darkened for a moment, lips pulling back to show teeth for a moment, before he laughed it off, tilting his head up to let himself get soaked. He wished he knew what was bothering his lover this much, but asking now would be pointless. Probably. Cas would tell him if he wanted too and not a moment sooner. Vasire wondered briefly about the last time he'd seen his lover in a temper. The last time the skies had rumbled like this was the time he'd run into Melody, the Whore of Babylon. Maybe she had something to do with it. Tilting his head down to look at Casalure, he could feel that grin just slip a bit.

Though, it came right back when Cas started questioning his intelligence. "Ah, well, about that." Vasire rolled his eyes sheepishly. "I was enjoying myself in the sun, thinking of you, and, well, the sun went away." He mock pouted, nipping at Cas' ear. "I figured you had something to do with it, so I came hunting before the first of those wind things showed up. I really don't like those." Vasire pulled back just enough to meet Casalure's eyes. "Besides, I know that I could walk though any of your storms without a scratch."

Casalure laughed at this, tilting his head to consider his male with another of his faint grins. "I should zap you one day, just for the simple fact it would remove your foolish notion you will never be harmed by the storm... I do not fully own them, Vasire.. I call them, I sing them to the strength that will best serve me, and I let them rage on... Never think -even for a moment- I have the power to keep them from harming you... Even I do not know if I have that gift."
He sighed and nipped at Vasire's mane, then his ear, purring softly as the rain continued to fall on them. Vas didn't like the twists of wind, hmm? Well, that was no great surprise. Few did... But then, few reveled in the fury of the storm the way Casalure did. It was his gift, he suppossed... A pity no one else felt the fierce joy in the storms. It would have been nice for just one being to understand how he loved the raging weather.
"Sorry for stealing your sunshine..." He said after a few moments of silence. "I really didn't know you were so close by.."

Vasire felt the edge of teeth in his mane and growled, low, barely audible over the thunder. Those teeth a few inches to the left, towards his neck and... Vasire swore inside his head. The damn storm. He didn't love it the way his love did, but it did do... things to him. That, and laying on a rock thinking of various things he could have been doing with the blue male hadn't helped matters any. Dropping his head to let his teeth graze against the side of Cas' neck, he laughed softly. "Go ahead and zap me then, love. I can't fear any of your storms. To me, you are them. They are you. They wouldn't hurt me any more than you would." A little voice in the back of his head yelled at him to shut up, but he ignored it, like he'd been ignoring it since he met the dark maned male that put a pleasant fire back in his blood.

"And I forgive you. Not like I haven't been doing that all day. It was getting boring anyway." He mumbled into his neck. "And I am always close by, you idiot." His voice was barely a growl on that one. Not meant for the fayth to hear. He didn't add that even if he hadn't been close, that if he had seen those clouds building over a distance of miles, of days of travel, he would find his way to his lovers side. He didn't say that because it was sappy.

Casalure grinned as his lover growled, nipping at him again just for the sake of the game they played with each other. The lightning had moved further away, striking at random on the Pride Lands. Flashing silver eyes marked each strike, making sure no fires started as the storm carried on. The rain grew heavier, soaking his mane closer to his coat, dampening his tailfeathers. He chuckled slightly at the teasing rain, rubbing his shoulder against Vasire.
"A lightning bolt to the tail wouldn't change your mind?" He grinned. "Are you sure about that? I'm pretty sure if you lit my tailfeathers on fire, we'd have to seriously re-evaluate our relationship..."

"Nope, I don't think it could change my mind if you killed me, love." Vasire laughed softly, deeper, more rough than his last. The proximity of his lover was doing fun things to him. Even through the haze that was slowly decending on his thoughts, Vas noticed that Cas was still not talking. It only annoyed him somewhat. The fact that he wanted to know what could have put the boy into such a temper was eating at me. Kinda like that haze, eating at his thoughts. Of course, that could just be the rain. It soaked through his mane, running down his flank, making his flakes drip. It was like being caressed everywhere. He'd always liked the rain, almost as much as the sun. He didn't like it when it rained because of Cas, though.

"Good thing I'm not a pryo, then, isn't it? I'd hate to loose you over something so small as a few singed tailfeathers." He laughed again, wrapping his tail around Casalure's, twining them together. Hmmm. What would make him talk? "Would you really leave me over something so small?"

"Good to know you're not easy to sway, Lover..." Cas smiled, leaning into the embrace he was offered. "And as far as something so "small"... I'm pretty sure you setting my a** on fire is considered a bit more than "small" ok? I thought you liked it, any way..."
He gave a playful pout, winking in a teasing manner. "Don't tell me you've changed your mind? You'd break my little heart..."
