Triton stood with head raised eying the heavy laden sky thoughtfully, the Grey clouds were angry and fierce looking and although sunlight filtered through the tree's at the moment the blue colored beast was fairly certain that the storm had completely passed over quite yet.

"Hmm...not sure, just can't really tell..."

The male mused to himself, he had a habit of talking his thoughts out loud when he thought no one else was around to hear them - a good way he explained to others to keep oneself from going crazy when you didn't have anyone to speak to for a spell. Triton had not been alone for long - only newly venturing from his home pack to find his way in the world and although it was exciting he felt the absence of his family quite keenly. If talking to himself made him feel better...well then what could really be the harm he reckoned.

A high-pitched, hysterical giggle pierced the air as the strange female moved through the region. Her legs were unnaturally long and her tail nearly dragged the ground. Her paws were small and dainty, as was her muzzle, nearly coming to a point. Her coat was dull, even moreso with this damned weather.

"Storms'a comin'," she squealed delightfully, paws making easy movements over the earth, eating it up. She took a deep breath, smelling the rain on the air. It would rain. Rain was good. Rain was safe. She smiled. Rain would cover her tracks and no one would ever find silly-little-her.

Her ears pricked at the sound of another's deep voice. Male. Her back prickled. She glanced around, this way and that. An out? No. No out... This wasn't safe. Not safe at all. She stood frozen as the big, blue male lumbered into view. She bit out another giggle, sitting down awkwardly, watching him with dark eyes.

"Hellooooo there, Stranger," she called after a moment. "Nice weather we're having!"

Triton's heavy head whipped about at the sound of a giggle, eyes narrowed slightly as he imagined some young rogue pup out in the woods laughing at him for talking to himself.

When he caught sight of the blue female however his eyes widened slightly, he'd never before seen one quite like her, her markings and pelt were quite beautiful, the lengthy tail, petite paws and narrowed muzzle might seem akward on another but Triton thought it suited her well. When he realized he was gaping at her like a fool he snapped his jaw shut and dipped his head a little in greeting. Where are your manners? he chastised himself were you raised by deer? wouldn't his mother be ashamed.

"My Lady! I'm quite embarrassed to say that you've startled me, I am Triton and welcome your company despite this weather you deem..nice"

He finally spoke in a voice deep and pure as the ocean

Lady? Where?

She dipped her head back and forth, looking behind her, in search of this blue-boy's 'lady'. It didn't occur that she herself was the lady. Silly little wolf. She gazed up at the cloud-filled sky, whose raindrops looked threatening and she turned to him with a wide, toothy grin, looking a little pleased with herself. She liked the way he stared...

She pranced to his side, not bothering with manners as she buried her skinny muzzle in his fur and breathed in, taking in the scent of him. Her tail was wagging, halfway between being low like a gamma's and being straight like a beta's, she wasn't quite sure -what- she was. She never had been.

"Triton. Triiiii...ton..." She smiled again, looking him in the eye. "I'd be Haavikalani. Haavi for shorts, yanno."

Triton wasn't exactly sure how to respond as the blue femme pranced towards him - yes pranced...as light on her feet as a bounding doe this one was, the heavy set male thought to himself.

A thought that was quickly chased from his mind as she poked her nose into his fur. Her cold, wet nose, and while most of the time Triton didn't have much of a problem being nosed by females - he'd always been fairly popular with them as a youth - he wasn't quite prepared for this one and let out a little squeak of a yelp he tried to hold him and wriggled himself a few steps sideways as she fooled around with his name and gave him her own rather long moniker.

Triton was now quite rattled and probably wouldn't have remembered it at all if she hadn't gone ahead and provided her with a nice helpful shortened version.

"I ah...I reckon that's a rather pretty name Miss Haavi"

He managed to stutter out after a few moments with an uncertain wag of his tail. She wasa pretty beast to be sure but Triton was starting to think she might be a tad off in the head - not that he'd ever really encountered something like that, mayhaps this was just the ways wolves acted in these parts. Skittering away so that he could face her again - in a more proper first meeting type stance the blue male managed to speak again.

"Do you keep a home about these parts?"

Her tail was wagging wildly as he skittered backwards and gave a yelp of surprise. She seemed blissfully unaware that her movements had made him nervous. She dropped into a playbow, smiling all the while. "Didn't mean to startle," she sing-songed. "A home, a home. I call no place home."

She tossed her head up, gazing at the sky, which rumbled and tumbled with the rain that was threatening to cry out in a thunderclap. As she opened her mouth to speak, the clouds gave way to a downpour of rainwater and she shrieked with happiness.

"Come on, come on!" she barked out, dancing around him before taking off, coat being soaked by the rain. She found her way into a den made-for-two and sat down, still giggling and breathing heavy now as she waited for the handsome brute to follow.

"It's..It's alright, quite alright Miss Haavi"

Triton managed to stumble out as she smiled in apparent good nature - that long plumed tail going wild all the while. she might be a bit off her rocker the blue bruthe thought - but she seemed to be a cheerful beast and well a cheerful beast was far better company then a cranky one wasn't it? I'd certainly think so he answered his own inner question.

"Why don't you..."

He managed to get out before being nearly drowned in the sudden deluge, blinking in dismay at the sudden downpour he watched, fur becoming instantly waterlogged and ratty looking as the angular lively femme seemingly avoided such problems shrieking and dancing effortlessly around him before bounding off and bidding him to follow.

"...seems a mite happy about this here storm..."

He mumbled to himself, words nearly being eaten by crashing thunder as he followed her wayward sprint to a den. It was spacious enough - for two wolves who knew one another, a tad bit awkward for ones who barely did, or at least Triton thought so, his rather proper upbringing making him feel a bit uncomfortable around the so clearly free thinking female.

"So...uh...nice place.."

He spoke lamely, looking about as though admiring the den and trying to look not at all bothered by her closeness. Mama would be barking in her sleep if she seen him like this...he just knew it.

Haavikalani was indeed cheerful: until someone pissed her off. And then she was a sulky little thing with a grudge on the world. But for now, cheerful was a good describing word for the blue femme.

She heard his words, just as they were cut off and drowned out by the sudden downpour of rainwater. She grinned and darted into the den. She had found this place the other day and thought it rather handy. So she'd marked it. Hers. Safe.

And she liked storms, too. Call it a quirk. The thunder rolled overhead as Triton got comfortable inside her den. She smiled openly at him as he tried to break the awkward silence. She didn't notice the awkwardness about it.

"It is, it is!" she crowed, flopping down and resting her head on her paws, looking at him easily. "What brings you here, blue wolf?" That sentence made her sound almost intelligent.

Triton had turned his attention outside the den as the thunder went by, shifting his weight from time to time - a nervous habit he'd developed as a pup he was ashamed to say. clearing his throat to banish such thoughts the heavy set male made an effort to be still, glancing over at his companion as she spoke in strange - but oddly beautiful voice. She was unique this creature - he'd give her that much for sure. She asked you a question you dope! and Triton gathered his thoughts again.

"Oh my story is hardly exciting my Lady - I'm merely a wolf looking for his path in life, newly come from my home pack you see and not quite sure where I'm going quite yet.."

Her tail wagged slowly, leisurely, in beat with her heart. She smiled up at him. What a handsome wolf... Surely he had a story better than that! "What, no dark past?" she giggled softly, but her eyes were distant. "I see..." There was a pause, a silence, that settled between them uneasily. She frowned, fur ruffled for quite a moment before she took a breath. "I know of a good story..." Her voice trailed off, gaze locked onto him strikingly. It would be his call.

"Afraid not"

Triton responded as she remarked on his rather boring upbringing - he'd never thought of his rather stable life as something to be embarrassed about but quite suddenly he wished for a tale or two to tell the pretty female. She had after all seemed somewhat disappointed..and then she looked at him with that piercing gaze and he blew out a long breath at her unease. Perhaps this was a story he would not want to hear..and yet she seemed to want to share it.

"Do you now? If your wanting to tell it I've been told I'm a good listener a time or two"

He remarked softly.
