Kain now lay on a bed shaped like a demonic hand, slender and thus obviously meant to be female stretching out from the wall. The bed was a large four-post rooftop, california king. Each post was shaped like the Baphomet Idol, a mural of which hung above the bed. His blankets were black plain and simple while his satin sheets were a deep red. For now he lay without curtains drawn over the sides of the bed on large violet pillows. He lay with his arms over his slightly folded covers, his chest barely raising the thin amount of fabric he slept under. Blood spots were on a few pillows and all over his lips, his face showing massive bruising. So, so many people would have killed to see him like this...defeated and humiliated. Incognito was doing her best to keep his mouth and pillows clean while Dread made sure the blood pack and saline bags on the IV cart were flowing with ease into the unseen entrance points on Kain's wrist. With each slight breath he'd wheeze and sometimes cough, hardly able to comprehend what the hell was going on.

"Holy s**t." said a soft voice as a green fire appeared. "Good lord, man, what happened to you?!" Spiral asked, almost angry that someone else had gotten to him first. "********!" he sighed. "You coherent?" he asked.

His eyes would shift to Spiral immediately, feeling not Spiral but an...uncomfortable force. Spiral, if he were androgynous, had far more male qualities than female, and if Evolution Itself had a gender Kain would never see it as anything but male, hence the glare he shot the individual. His breathing would hasten and blood pressure quickly rise at which point Incognito would hold up one finger to Spiral as if to say "One second; bad timing" and climb onto Kain literally straddling him. She'd place her hands on his cheeks and force him to look and stare at her while Dread strapped an oxygen mask around him. He'd soon pass off into sleep, dreams of Annebeth playing out in his dream realm thanks to Incognito. Both girls would sigh; Dread would move back to monitor Kain's vitals and Incognito would move to a leather couch she'd dragged along the carpet (carpet marks still visible) to be comfortably near Kain and plop down on in.
"Some timing you got...but not like you knew. Just keep your voice down and subdue your energy and voice as much as possible...it's not that he doesn't like you, it's that the male influence makes him uncomfortable. I can't tell you much sadly as I wasn't there, just part of the rescue team. So hold on." She'd get right back up it seemed and exchange a few words with Dread in the end resulting with a change of places. Incognito wouldn't take her eyes off the charts and screens even to blink.
Dread would move to the couch and sit with a bit more poise, leg over the other and hands in her lap. "I was there...to an extent. What I saw in the end was a young man, much like Vincent in overall shape but no older than sixteen I'd say. This young man...he was truly a demon straight out of Hell. What you see in that bed is the result of this boy's birth; not a moment after gaining a sense of reality I dare say he flew off to do that to Kain." She'd look to him and sigh, then back to Spiral. "There was another there with him that you've no doubt met: the psychic Migoto. He had changed as well; no longer a frail little man but a rather built individual bent on annihilating our Annette. Had Kain not forced Ice Shards to rain down and slice Migoto and the one now titled Vance, I believe Kain would be...well, dead. Annette as well no doubt. Kain used the last of his energy to stun Vance long enough to perform the Ice Shards. The two left together, so I believe it's safe to assume the Immortal Psychic Migoto and the Little Demon Vance have left together in search of something...Feign, our leader as clones, had a theory: Since Migoto, though immortal is still very much human and this Vance, though born of supernatural purpose and power, is mortal as well...they will seek YOU out. Fine additions they'd be to your ranks, hm?" Her last comment was made with a bitter tone while she rose from her seat. "Kain is not coherent, nor will he be for some time. It's quite the miracle he's alive." With that, she'd move and again the ladies would switch.
Incognito would sigh and plop back down. "Thanks to something Annette gave him Kain was able to heal enough to where he wouldn't need any transplants or anything, aside from blood. Luckily he has twenty bodies on tap for that...his regeneration factor's slowly increasing and we're hoping Annette can help boost it a bit more, otherwise...he'll be like this for some time. Vance knew his weakness from the start; he didn't cut Kain once. It was endless beatings. Al of Kain's energy seemed to be drained defending against the blows so the impact was at least minimal, but if it took nearly all of his energy to keep him in THIS state, think of what that kid was dishing out...if what Dread said is right n' they wanna join up with you, you'd be the dumbest ruler EVER to deny them. But I need to ask you to go appear somewhere else; bother Feign in his office if you need to. He leads all of us, so he's like Kain's Second in Command. He's expecting you from what I heard."

Once he'd vanish Incognito would sigh and look to Dread who seemed none to pleased though focused on Kain's vitals nonetheless. She'd press her COM Link disguised as a hair pin. "Pi Dee, if you're not there yet then GET there. I don't think you got a lot of time left-" ... "You're there!? Now!? Good! Get Faust back here and show that little prepubescent s**t we're not to be-" ... "Hm. Yeah, I get it. Keep in contact with Feign. Incognito out."

((*bows apologetically* So so sorry I disappeared there, it's been crazy busy and stress took something of toll on me. I think I'm all caught up though))
There was a light knock on the door before Annette opened the door quietly and stepped in. "How is he doing?" she asked calmly, keeping her voice low so as not to wake Kain up. She had changed her clothes so she was wearing an off white dress that could easily be mistaken as a a very old nurse's outfit, though it was modified so that the was no apron, and the skirt portion came down past her knees. Rather then boots she had on flats, that made zero noise as she moved. Her hair was pulled back in a messy clip, quite a few strands framing her face and covering her ears.
Her accent had vanished, and aside from the tired look in her eyes, she looked fine. She took a few steps closer to take a look at Kain, examining the bruising and blood spots. She noticed the drip bags as well, though didn't bother to look where they were going. "Aside from the obvious, how are his vitals?"

(( : razz okes very hard in the forehead:: Why the hell are you apologizing for something you can't control? I can't accept the apology 'cause there's no need for one. Only a need for you to be OK! ))
"His blood pressure usually ran somewhere around 138/50 if he'd ever let us get a damn reading...this time it's lower, barely breaking a hundred over sixty eight. His heart's back to beating as a mortal's heart would; it's part of his body's mass regeneration. The good news is that for a human it's normal...the bad news is that for him its slow as a turtle. His body's using all the blood we're feeding it just to heal the internal wounds and keep him semi-fed. The saline...honestly I don't know if it's helping. He's not retaining fluid, but shows no sign of being hydrated. To top things off, he's only able to breath with a mask. Part of that could have been multiple punctures in his lungs from ribs...the rest a lack of willpower." Dread would move from her seat and stand behind it, offering it to Annette. "Please, feel free to take a look."
She'd sigh and look to Annette. They hadn't really met per say, but she new the chick was something good. The fact she'd bothered to come and check meant she gave a rat's a**...for once she had a moral dilemma. Which hurt her stomach. She'd sit up from her laying position and hit the link. "Look, I understand why you wanna kick em' all out. But there's no need to kick out someone who DOESN'T wanna see him dead." ... "No. You force her out n' I'll leave as well. And don't think I'll leave peacefully; if you're going to banish his ******** SISTER...honestly Feign, I'd like to see you TRY. You were born from him, have half of his power and can take our powers. But she has HIS power. HIS armor. HIS blood. HIS respect. HIS love. HIS tactics. HIS knowledge. As Kain says: Those born powerful are always weaker then those that strive for power-" ... "Kain would kill you if he heard that, and frankly, I get this funny feeling in my just, like a horrible pressure whenever the thought of kicking her out enters my head. I don't think he likes that idea." ... "No. The issue will not be ordered. If YOU issue it I will have it nullified. If you want to keep your rank, Feign...then you'd best pull your poky little head out of your a**." ... "Yeah, we'll see a*****e."
She'd nearly throw the link from her ear but keep cool and just switch it off. She'd look to Annette and sigh. "You, Kain's Sister. Orders from the guy in charge while Kain's sleepy and thus Kain himself as dictated when he was awake are to throw everyone out; banish em' from this country. That includes you. Feign thinks that you, as family, would only blind Kain to the issues at hand. I think you'd keep the idiot on track...and I think you deserve the right to come and go as you please. So, there will be a Nullification Ceremony; the ten of us here on Earth have a little meeting, speak our minds, cast our votes...just goes from there. If there's a tie then we bring down one of the Station's clones." She'd rise from her seat and move to Kain's side. "Feign's just like Kain...given an inch and wants a ********' mile. Feign's smart, good, and would never betray Kain...but he takes things too far." She'd rub the back of her neck and let out a strange laugh. "You know, it's funny...I've been in this form for so long...no record even shows my real gender. Sucks to not know who you are, even sitting next to the guy you were cloned from." She'd quickly whip her head to face Annette. "I'm also recommending you overthrow Feign as Second in Command. Something in my heart's telling me to do it and I listen to internal organs. I feel that Feign is too arrogant to run things and that...well, him in that seat is like Kain in that seat. There's no voice of reason and there needs to be! And I think it's you. But it's your choice. I wouln't bring it up in council if you don't want me too..." That idea actually saddened her.

(I'm sorry...I mean...Umm...eh heh sweatdrop Thanks guys ^_^))
"Low blood pressure isn't necessarily bad so long as we can kept those two numbers far enough apart. It's when they start closing in on each other that we start having problems." Annette tried to reassure. She wasn't too happy with the numbers either though, and the fact that he didn't wither want to breath, or wasn't able to bugged her along with his slow healing. She'd nod a thanks to Dread and move to stand a bit closer.
She'd half listen to Incognito as she spoke with who she rightly assumed was Feign over the link they all had. As she listened, she ran her fingers lightly over Kains ribs, feeling the cracks in them, two of them moved slightly as she touched them. "The lungs being pierced is a good possibility it looks like." She bit her lower lip in thought. There wasn't much in the way of actual medical help she could do if his body would reject medicine and other such things. Instead she put her fingers to his temple. 'I really hope she isn't right when she says you don't feel like breathing. otherwise you and I are going to have a long talk about you being a lazy older brother.'
She pulled her hand away then and looked as she was addressed. She listened quietly about Feign and what was being said and done as Kain slept. Something about Feign being Kains voice of reason sounded ironic. Wasn't that basically like asking your reflection what they would do? NO matter what the reflection is going to say what you want, as it's your reflection. "I don't like the idea of overthrowing someone that already doesn't seem to want me here." she said honestly. "But how about we agree that I sit in as second in command until Kain wakes and then ask him what he'd rather do?" she asked.

"Idea's fine with me, but I'm only third seat. I got say, but...not as much as Feign, or even Faust." She'd motion to Dread who would only nod and slowly begin to exit the room, heading for the ceremony. "Feign is like...a Kain without the feeling of pain and loss. Sure, we were all created in a lab from Kain's DNA, but we each developed different traits and personalities. He made sure not to pull the angel-thing I guess." She'd fold her arms and bite her lower lip. "I swear, it's like Feign wants to BE Kain. Strange given the meaning of his name...but whatever. Third seat or tenth I'll get what I want. But you, Miss Sister, must remain here. If Dread n' me gotta disappear for this then SOMEONE'S gotta be here for Kain...and I can think of no one better really. If he dies on your watch, though..." She'd morph into Annette with a noose around her neck on fire over a pool of water, obviously blessed. She'd then morph back into her "usual" self and snicker. "I trust you. So's Dread, n' she's the doctor. Try getting him to eat..." She'd watch Dread beckon to her at the door and nod. "Yeah, so...do your thing." She'd blink a few times, not sure what to say and rush off to the door, her and Dread soon disappearing.

((only have time for one post tonight. My sister is working on a comic page.))
"It was nice meeting the two of you. I'll do my best with Kain." she waited till the two were gone before taking a seat by the bed again, and sighing. "I hope you get better, other wise we're both in trouble. I'm not excatly on good terms with the woman thats now Death." she said tiredly. She remembered what incognito had said about getting Kain to eat. She reached in her pocket and pulled a small item out, placing it to her finger she pressed the button and pricked the tip. 'Let see if your even hungry first.' squeezing the blood to the tip she held it toward Kain.

He was off in a world like no other, one he hadn't seen in so long, one he could only see when he came close to death...one he was nearly willing to die for to forever experience. Once the smell of blood would flood his nostrils though, a hole would seem to open beneath him and pull him in. As this happened in his dream world Kain's room would begin to drop in temperature more and more, soon freezing and breaking glass and covering everything in a thin sheet of frost. His eyes would open slightly and he'd look to Annette with black orbs rather then eyes. His mouth would slowly open, his breath none too attractive no doubt and he'd latch onto her finger. He'd drink from her, though not only her blood but her negativity. Her negative emotions; fear, hatred or even dislike, contempt, sorrow, worry and everything outside and in between. He wouldn't take it from her, merely treat it like an endless substance for his abuse. Sadly this would make the victim, Annette, pray to each of the feelings he fed upon all at once. One of his lower fangs would even shoot up into her finger and lock it in place to allow him all he wanted. The more he fed on her personal diseases the more his eyes would open to reveal black orbs, the colder still the room would grow and the more negative energy in the form of black mist would wrap around him.
Furthermore to add to the sorrowful situation he couldn't grasp it was Annette helping him even if he wanted to, even if he could try. He wouldn't heal more then usual; a bit more from the blood that still fell down her throat perhaps, but she was learning a deep secret that would explain why Kain's past wasn't full of much joy: He fed on the negative; all that made one lose hope. It wasn't a healing mechanism or anything, but rather a drug to him and one he couldn't kick. Where there was drama and writhe, there was Kain. Instead of his dream world he was now in a semi-conscious world where he could only feel the intoxicating energy fill and surround him, feeding his mind the false signals that there was no pain...no world even. Just the cold, evil embrace of something close to entropy. And he didn't want to stop...he'd do what he could to keep draining his victim known to him...good thing for her he was in the state he was.
(( : razz okes in head AGAIN:: I'm glad you didn't apologize this time, but it's obvious you were making an effort not to. If you can only make one post then we'll be thankful you could even make that one post. No worries! ))

Several swears words shot from her mouth, none of which were comprehensible given how fast she'd strung them together in french. She fought the urge to pull her hand away given she felt his fang dig itself into her finger joint. Not that she'd mind losing a finger after being flung onto the emotion roller coaster from hell. The colder didn't touch her till she heard the windows shatter, tipping her off as to how cold it got all of a sudden.
"Kain!" She tensed and attempted to pull her hand away, getting nothing of a response. The dark orbs for eyes was a bit un-nerving as it was, the fact that she had to contend with her own unchecked emotions was becoming something of a nuisance. Standing from the chair she braced herself as she moved her hand in a way that snapped the bone in her finger. The fact that Kain had already cut through the skin helped her to simply rip the rest of the anchor off. She pulled away minus one finger.
She moved and quickly wrapped her hand in the cloth in her pocket. It wasn't blood lose she was worried about, not by a long shot. She didn't like the idea of bleeding all over teh place. "Kain, wake up!"

The equipment would eventually freeze and either shatter or break depending upon what it actually was. When she'd free herself his eyes would go wide and the room would fill with a pressure, something that would feel as if gravity was increasing many fold at a rapid pace. He'd let out a high-pitched screech, barely audible to most ears beyond a ringing sound. He'd tear every medical item on, in or otherwise attached to him off and let out another screech. He'd begin to breath at a normal pace and the blackness covering his eyes would slowly fade away. He'd lie back down after lifting himself during his screams, his pillow cracking from the ice built up around it. Once he could see to a decent extent he'd look to the top of the canopy bed to what all egomaniacs had up there: a mirror. He'd see the scars all over his body and close his eyes as if he'd seen something hideous.
Eventually he'd look over to Annette and just stare for a moment. "I take it...we lived. I didn't intend to save myself...an unfortunate byproduct. Ironic I give my energy to saved you...and try to then try to drive you mad. You have my sincerest apologies." He'd remove the covers from him the ice accumulated about them shattering and breaking. He'd bend each leg to make sure they worked...it hurt, but they worked. He'd need aid to walk, though. "My armoire...there's a black hakama in one of the left drawers and a black sash in another. Open it up...and I ask for one of my black dress coats. I also ask you procure sandals for me...and above all else a cane." He'd look to her finger, then to his bed where the rest lay. "I hope the cold numbed that process a bit; if it's slowing the healing then force energy into the finger. Energy in itself usually provides warmth." He'd move to the side of the bed and pick up the shatter blood and eat it like hard candy. "Where's the kid?"

Her ears would hear teh screech, and she winced slightly at it. The gravity wasn't something that bothered as much as she realized he was coming too. 'Thank you to what ever diety is watching...' She sighed in relief, mainly cause she wasn't looking forward to having to explain to Dread or Incognito any new injuries to Kain's person while they were gone.
As he spoke she relaxed more, going back to her usual not so tense but still on guard self. "Apologies aren't necissary, you weren't excatly with in your right mind it seemed." she started for the closet. She took out what he asked for, including the sandals and a cane she'd found in the very back of the large cabinet. "You don't need to worry about my healing, believe me." She walked over and handed him what he asked for, all folded neatly in a pile in her hand. "Worry about your own body, as it seems in far worse shape. As far the kid, he took off with the snake somewhere."

"I've never been in my right mind...so he left with Migoto. It doesn't take a genius to guess their path..." He'd slip on each piece of clothing until he looked...well, he was dressed. It was a good start. His eyes still sported bruised borders and his voice was still rough, but at least he'd begun to merely scar. He'd move around a bit, figuring out which leg was weakest to decide which hand would hold the cane. He'd decide upon the right and move over to a black leather chair that gave in gently to his weight as he sat. "How long have I been out? The hell's happened?"
Meanwhile the girls stood outside the door, able to hear each word but far too nervous to actually enter, instead acting as sentries outside the door. They figured Annette had things under control; the last thing they wanted was the news of the council pissing him off, much less Feign alone. While Kain, currently too weak to feel any presence not right next to him was obvious to them no doubt Annette knew they were there and they were scared.
