Gifteds v.s. Government
The world has finally discovered that there are a few special people out there... And when I say a few, I mean a lot... And when I say special, I mean Gifted. As in they have un-natural powers, abilities, maybe they are vampires, werewolves, etc. And let's just say the government doesn't like that. Not one bit.
Because of their newly found knowledge, the government has taken it into their hands to sort of "clean up the mess", as in creating new laws that all "Gifteds" must be turned into the police. From there they are sent to slave shops, prisons, maybe even labs to be used as experiments and turned into weapons.
The problem with that is, the Gifteds don't like that. A few rebellions have been formed, slave hideouts created and safe havens made. Slaves are being saved by Raiders and a few kind Masters but the Feds have found a way to put a slight hault on this. They made a few Gifted friends. They've found extremely skilled gifteds and put a sort of chip in their brain, forcing them to do as the Government says for them to do. But those Gifteds don't realise it's there, and think they work for them under their own free will. These special Gifteds are called Seekers, and Seekers have no memory of their past, their friends, their families, etc.
But some Gifteds are neither Seekers nor Slaves. Some have special persmission from the government, as in they could afford to pay the government off, to be free. These gifteds generally find themselves buying their own slaves, either out of pity, or because they feel they are better than everyone else and deserve to have them.
And not only are Gifteds turned into slaves, but regular people as well, whether they were family of gifteds, fugitives, or people that tried to keep a certain Gifted from being caught. Sometimes they just couldn't pay off their taxes and this was what the government decided was a good punishment.
And sometimes, even Government Officials/Feds are Gifted. But because they are so important it doesn't matter unless they are against the new ways. In that case they are sent to prisons or slave shops. You are generally only sent to prisons though if you are to much for a master to handle. But if they can't handle you in prison, they give you to science, who usually is worse than even a cruel master or angry prison guards...
Now what are you in this entire scheme of things? A Gifted? A Fed? Maybe even a Seeker? Or are you just a normal person, maybe a master, or even a slave?
