Description: Though Midus knew there was a storm approaching, instead of closing the ceilings of the fighting arenas, he has instead decided to keep them open to add an interesting aspect to the next round. Instead of a nice, warm sunny day, the fighters would instead be fighting in the harsh condition of ten mile per hour winds that will sometimes gust to thirty mph, heavy rain drops (though not disturbing enough to cause total distraction to sight; maybe 20% reduction), and the occasional thunderbolt lighting up the skies. To help make the arena more comfortable for the fighters, the floor has been turned into low cut grass to help keep traction. However, if the ground is dug up too much, mud and dirt will be added to the terrain.

Despite the weather, the crowd of people have come to watch the fight, wielding umbrellas over their heads.

Special Conditions: Fire is a bit weaker here since it'll be harder to start up one without the rain putting it out. And electricity will get a bigger boost in strength, though it will also short out much faster than if wielded normally by the fighters who possess it.

Field Measurements:
Ring: 70 yard diameter

Ten Count Boundary: As soon as a fighter enters the bleachers, the count begins. The flying rule remains, as well.

"Yare, yare..."

Tenkai sure had been sying that a lot lately, but it wasn't misplaced at all. This weather was really going to be a pain in the neck. Tenkai wasn't worried so much about the rain and the visibility. He was used to fighting in the dark since most of his quarry came out at night only. The winds, however, were probably going to be a bit of a pickle. He'd have to try to find some way to use it to his advantage. That, or figure out a way to make it less of an advantage to his opponent. For all he knew it wouldn't matter much either way. He was definately fortunate to be wearing his geta at a time like this. They were designed for walking in the rain, so the mud and dirt would be of little consequence.

Still, the monk couldn't help but feel Mr. Sonners was getting a bit of wry satisfaction from this. It was within his ability to provide the stadium with a rain cover, but it seemed that just wasn't entertaining enough. Not to matter though. Tenkai would--

CRACKOOM!

Lightning.

Well, that was just perfect.

Thankfully, Tenkai could tell from the time in between the flash and the strike that the lightning wouldn't be hitting himself or his opponent at random. They had to protect the spectators at any rate, so lightning rods would probably be in place. Then again, that wouldn't save Tenkai from having to deal with elemental-based attacks. Anyone able to harness lightning was going to have a pretty good run with this.

"Hm...don't see anyone else out there yet," said Tenkai, wondering if his opponent had entered yet. "I might as well stay here behind the bleachers to avoid the rain." Tenkai would have to take off his shade hat and monk's robes before the fight began, too, so he decided to relish any time he had staying relatively dry before walking out in the rain.

In the distance, lightning arced through the sky, illuminating the field once more before darkness settled in again.
