Expierence rolled onto her back and stared up at the sky with sleepy eyes. The morning had already passed by from what she could tell. It was nearly the afternoon by now. Her tail thumped the ground a couple of times before she hopped up onto her paws and stretched. Expierence licked her lips and felt her stomach growl. "Hush now, you hear me. Brunch will be coming," she drawled and yawned again. She took a moment to sniff the air and caught a whiff of rabbit. Grinning, she started at a run to the north heading for the roughest part of the forest.

Jiathyn let out a long sigh. His eyes darted down toward the glowing blue moon pendant on his arm, "Its an emblem of my family.. wear it well Jiathyn. It glows to represent the power inside you." He shook his head at the memory of when his mother handed it to him, giving him one to match for his wing. Part of him thought this whole thing ludicrous.. his father having kept those secrets from him..
Having lost himself in his thoughts for so long, Jiathyn hardly noticed that commotion was coming toward him until his head veered up seeing a brightly colored lioness running passed after a white rabbit. His eyes blinked and he watched the sprint in mild interest.

Expierence put her whole self into the chase, enjoying the adrenaline rush and feel of the air as she raced after the rabbit. Her hair waved in the wind behind her. A big smile was plastered on her face. She looked up ahead seeing the path her prey was taking. Sucking in a deep breath, she put on a burst of speed, just as it went to hop into its hole. Expierence dove after the rabbit and came to a sliding hault. She'd seen the male, but was too exhilerated to stop and say hi. Expierence figured she'd go back and say hi later. She looked at her claws and realized she was empty handed. Glancing around, she watched the rabbit dive into its hole. She fell over onto her back laughing.

Did he hear what he thought he heard? Was that laughter? Musing, he pulled his head around a tree to view the girl, was she crazy? "Is everything alright?" He muttered in a quiet tone as he was now only about a foot from her.

Expierence looked up to see the male, but continued to laugh until she felt her ribs hurt. She hadn't noticed how close he was until she calmed down. Taking a deep breath, Expierence held in any other laughter until later. "Everythings perfect," she said with a big smile still in place that reached her eyes. Getting to her feet, she tried blowing a piece of stray hair out of her face. Giving up, she eyed him for a moment then said, "Sorry if I disturbed you at all, and how rude of me. I'm Expierence, or X for short."

Jiathyn knit his brows hard, his first thoughts was that this girl just might be as crazy as his sister. His second thoughts was just how different she was than him. So brightly colored next to his black and white pelt... "Experience...? Isn't that... a little of a strange name?" He heard his own voice coming out before he could take it back, knowing it was a bit rude to say, "I'm sorry... I mean.. My name is Jiathyn, nice to meet you Miss."

A small laugh escaped her. Just about everyone said that about her name. It was strange, and she loved it. "It's no biggy there big fella," Expierence gave the lion equvalent of a courtsey to him. She was polite and a little old fashioned at times. Again it was strange but fun. "Jiathyn. You've got a wonderful name."

"I..." Blushing a little he rubbed the back of his head. "I guess.. my father says it means "dragonborn"... or something to that effect." He smiled slightly at her politeness and returned the bow with a slight inclination of his own head. "Are you new here?" He found himself a little more interested suddenly.

Expierence held back a giggle at his blush, and instead smiled back, "Dragonborn, what an extravagant meaning for a great lion." She paused for a moment to sit. Her tail curled around her front paws, as she tucked her wings into a comfortable position. Being on the ground had messed them up, and it bugged her. As soon as she was sure her wings wouldn't bug her, she nodded. "I came from the west. It was too hot and dry there. Not many inhabit it, so it gets a little lonely. But when I heard about the many lions and dragons here, I just had to come see for myself!" The thought of meeting new lions and making new friends had intriuged her. Expierence hadn't taken much time to get things together, and took off towards much more lush areas. The land was beautiful with the nature that surrounded it.

"Great Lion?" Jiathyn mumbled a little under his breath. "...Me...? Certainly not... I'm nothing like... them..." A deep sigh came from his throat and his eyes ventured off toward the sky to think. "..I haven't done anything worth mentioning my whole life. I'm sure even you have done more than I have." His eyes finally swiveled back carefully in her direction, studying any sudden movements or hints of what she might actually think. He didn't exactly believe that anyone could think him worth as much as she tried to talk him up. "Well.. this place is beautiful. I guess the place my family comes from is a bit different itself, well.. the stories I've heard anyhow."

Expierence shook her head as she thought back to the older times of her life. "I haven't done much either. Traveling a great distance is the only big thing I've ever done," her thoughts then wandered off to what he could've meant. He sure did look like a lion that held pride and honor, his blue eyes were enough to suggest that. "What do you mean by them?" she asked with pure curiousity.

Musing, Jiathyn let his eyes fall to the ground. "Them... my family..." His lips moved into a thin line. "Please..." He didn't want her thoughts to be biased toward him, he hated that, but she asked and he felt it might be rude to deny her curiosity. "..My family came from a much farther place than this... there.. there the dragons were different... they were great reptilian beasts with wings and scales.. that breathed fire.. my uncle was the leader of a race of lions who were their keepers..." His eyes refused to look at her as he spoke.

Expierence wasn't sure how to respond to what he was telling her. So, she laid down on the ground tucking her paws underneath her. "You don't have to say anything more, if you wish not to," she noticed how his eyes wouldn't meet hers as he spoke. It looked as though it was something he wanted to forget all together. "Keepers, as in slaves to them?" Expierence asked softly, "That's horrible." She didn't know him quite that well, but felt as though she should do something to comfort him. Not knowing what, she stayed where she was.

"Slaves?" His eyes immediately glanced up, somewhat in shock to the way she took what he was trying to explain, "Oh.. no.. not at all!" He scratched the back of his head. "..It was an honor for my kin to help the dragons, they were... dragon-friends.. I guess you could say. They helped document and were allies to the dragons. A higher sort of lion that were considered... sort of.. more than noblemen in their land."

Expierence laughed at herself dryly, "Sorry for misunderstanding you. More than noblemen," she said it as a statement that sounded close to a question. "What a great honor it sounds like. Then does that mean you're one?"
