Danae didn't know what he was getting himself into today, but he did know that it was a splendid day outside! The sun was up and the River was very welcoming with it's cool running water. He hopped in with a splash and made a game of the rest of his day. He could use someone to play with, but he just let his mind wander and forgot that he was alone.
He splashed though the water, thrashing his tail boldly at fake foes. He was a Knight and he was defending a fair Princess. He was in the middle of his final battle is a ghoul when he stopped, hearing a breaking of twigs in the forest. He remembered the last time that had happened, how he'd dashed through the forest from the noise.
We'll he'd learned better since then, you couldn't run from all your problems. He held his head high and waited for whatever was headed this way.

Claude ducked under the last branch from the river with a smile. He'd heard thrashing and battle cried and wondered what could possibly be going on. The sight of the foal ready for battle made him chuckle. He figured he'd find one, he knew they're voices well. After all, that was what he normally worked with. It was easier to teach foals, because they had no predispositions, normally, and no reservations about things. They could be taught without things conflicting with history, or personal interest. In fact, he was just returning home from a lesson. He'd worked up a bit of a sweat and wated to wash off before he went home. Imagine his surprise when he came across a daring young Knight fighting off vicious demons. He bowed his head exaggeratedly and said, "beg pardon, good Sir Knight. I was returning home from a lesson with a student of mine and I wished to wash off. Might I make use of the stream? Providing, of course, that the good Sir Knight has defeated his enemy." He laughed a little. It reminded him of his childhood. Going on adventures with his beloved Istas... he sighed inwardly and longed for those days again.

Danae breathed a sigh of relief when the only thing that came from the forest was a bright orange/red stallion. At least this time it wasn't some horrid thing chasing him away from home. Though, he'd been prepared this time for anything that should come his way. Nothing would be getting the better of him anymore.
When the stallion bowed to Danae, he realized he'd put himself right into his game. He couldn't be more thrilled to have someone to play along with, especially an older stallion. He'd never had a father, so he'd always wondered what it might be like. With a grin, he bowed. "I was just finishing my duties when you stepped through the forest kind Sir." He lifted his head back up and splashed some water toward the older stallion with a flick of his pointy tail.
"My name is Danae by the way."

Claude splashed right back with a big grin. My, he was just like he was as a child. "Danae," he repeated, feeling the name gently, "what a curious name. What does it mean, may I ask? My deem is Claude, and it is a pleasure to meet a fellow knight, so deep in the forest. Might inquire, where did you train?" Of this, he was genuinly curious. He'd like to meet another teacher and knight. He often felt a tad alone in that area. Yes, he loved being the only one at times, but that was also the reason to took on students. The issue with being the only one was that, in time, there would be none left. He needed to be sure that when the time came for him to pass, the honor and chivalry that he lived by would be passed on. The idea that someone else was also teaching this was just amazing to him. Yes, his master taught him, but Claude had to seek him out. Claude sought out others who wished to learn.

"It's a type of Dragonfly, or so I'm told by my mother." Danae grinned, when Claude splashed water on him. He could believe that an older stallion was paying him any attention, and actually thought of him as more then just some silly kid playing around. When, truthfully, he really was just playing around. He'd never had any knight training before, but now that he thought about it, it would be kind of cool to become a real knight. Training and all.
"I wasn't trained by anyone. I've just kind of...taught myself? If that makes any sense." He nodded his head and went back to wadding around in the cool water. it was about midday so the cool water felt great against his coat. "I would love to get trained though. Being a knight is like...my dream come true!" Another nod of his head and he was back to defending his river from the monsters.

Claude nodded. "Well, your mother has very good taste in names. It's fitting for a knight-in-training." Claude stepped back at the no doubt powerful, yet untrained thrashings of the boy. Yes, Claude did see definite potential in the boy. He thought to himself gently. He was teaching Dhanny to fly, Lava to be a Lady Knight, and was setting up about three other teaching gigs as well. It was his dream, after all, teaching others to do good. He smiled and made his choise. Yes, this foal could turn to the darkness, and let evil consume him. But the same could happen his his beloved Lavanya, or strapping young Dhanny. Even to him, if he chose to embrace the hoplessness that thrashed wildly inside of him. All he could really do is impress on him all that is good, adn decent, adn the trust that those values and lessons instilled in his gave him the strength to do right. "Well, that's no good, a knight with no formal training. I'll tell you what. If I can get your parents permission, or at least the one you live with, then I'd be happy to train you to the best of my abilities."

Danae stood still now, considering how to pose the question to his mother. She was always worried about him running off and hurting himself. Asking her if he could train as a Knight, probably wouldn't appeal to her very well, but what did he have to lose? He wanted this more then anything! He had always dreamed of being someone worthy to be remembered and talked about. This was his chance, and he couldn't let this chance fly by.
"I'm sure my mother would agree, that is, after she's met you. She's a little paranoid about me most of the time." He shuffled his hooves a bit, stirring up the mud at the bottom of the lake. Who cool, and amazing would it be to become a knight? He knew he'd find some way to train with Claude, even if his mother didn't approve. He wouldn't be young forever after all!

Claude smiled and nudged the water a little. He considered his predicament for a time before he finally spoke. "I'm sure your mother and I can come to some sort of agreement. Currently, I never ask a fold I'm working with to ever leave thier home. I always go to them. I'm sure she'd agree if she can supervise." Of course if the mother said no, that was the final word. He would never dream of ever -ever- going behind the back of a parent. That was not chilvalrous, nor porper. "But don't get your hopes up little one. If your mother says no, then that is the very last word. I shan't press the matter after that. I will offer my position up front, but after that, it's her decision."
