It was a nice summer afternoon and the wind played in the grass making it bow down, creating the illusion of waves. Not that any of the rabbits in the warren had ever seen the sea, even if some had heard legends of a Big Water. U'tuhlroo was finishing up her afternoon silflay and was starting to think about something to do with her time. She was still kind of avoiding Buster, and feeling a bit bad about it. She'd talk to him some day, and perhaps try to explain the... temporary madness. That was it. She hadn't quite been herself that day.
But she wasn't looking for Buster now, she was looking for something to do. She rose on her haunches and rotated her long ears to scan her surroundings. Anything fun going on perhaps? Or anything dangerous for that matter. It was common courtesy to check for elil from time to time when silflaying after all.((Foxtail will join, and I'll leave it open for one more rabbit to join, after that it'll be set to private. We'll have a race later on so it's a suitable RP for those that want to be runners. Adults or outskirters only, please.))

Foxtail had just woken from his afternoon nap. It was rare to find Foxtail asleep, but even energetic bunnies need to recharge sometimes. Hopping out of the burrows, Foxtail stretched his back legs out behind him and surveyed the area around him. There were quite a few rabbits out for their afternoon silflay, but he couldn’t see anyone he was particularly chummy with.
Deciding to go for a run before eating, Foxtail took off at full pelt; bolting across the down, straight through the group of silflaying bunnies, and around a small shrub like plant, before tearing back to the tree on top of the burrows. He stopped just under the tree to catch his breath, and sat up on his haunches as he scanned the area for another target to run to next.

It was lucky for U'tuhlroo that she was alert, because some maniac decided it would be "fun" to tear through the silflaying group and scattering some of the more skittish rabbits. She had jumped to the side but wasn't really in any danger of being hit. But still... The nerve! For lack of anything better to do she followed him as he turned back and ran towards the tree.
"Oi!" she called irritably, "Watch were you are going. I think that old buck nearly jumped out of his skin. Are you trying to scare people to death?"
As she drew closer she recognised the characteristic patterns and colours. She had seen this rabbit before, when Hal had tried to arrange a relay race.

Just as the words left the angered does mouth another bolt shot past, this one of black and silver fur. this was Silverweed's evening run he shot across the grass and even bounced off of or over other silflaying rabbits, much to their annoyance. but this young buck had an agenda, to prove he had the stamina and the energy as well as speed to be a runner he wanted to start his own messaging line to carry information quickly across the warren. he lept up onto a stone to huff a bit though even as he rested he was twitching as if mad. running was in his blood and if he didn't run he had nothing, the wind in his fur and the flying sensation when he bounded over hills and obsticals gave him meaning and satisfaction. he had seen another running rabbit that seemed to have the dame drive as himself and he wanted to RACE. turning back to the doe he had cut off he sing songed a reply "not scare anyone m'dear! open their eyes to all the wonderful things you see when running all over the hills! makes you feel alive!"

Foxtail sniffed at the doe as she approached and smiled sweetly, "Sorry. I didn't mean to scare anyone. Running is just fun you know? I love running! Do you like running? I think everyone likes running in one way or another. What’s you favourite way to run? Alone or in a race? I like both myself" he stopped to catch his breath and smiled at the buck who had rushed past, "Hi I'm Foxtail!"

Further from the rest of the rabbits who were enjoying the outside air around the warren, a white buck with black spots and a stripe down his back nosed about in the underbrush. He was a young adult by the name of Tangleweed. He flicked his ears and sat back on his haunches. He was looking for something tasty to eat. Not that grasses and clover were insufficient; they were just boring to him. For most of his life, the buck had lived on a farm and had eaten his fill of fresh vegetables stolen from the gardens and sweet hay from the open fields. Now, he wasn’t so picky that he wouldn’t eat like the rest but, he couldn’t help craving something more delectable. As Tangleweed searched (knowing the likelihood of finding what he wanted was highly improbable) his black ears picked up the sound of pounding feet. He looked up just in time to see a buckskin spotted rabbit dash passed, followed by a rabbit with a coat that was largely black. Bringing up the rear was yet another rabbit, who was a handsome tan. The three tore over the down. From their expressions and pace, Tangleweed surmised that some sort of excitement was afoot. Never one to be left out of excitement (or mischief), Tangleweed went after them. ((Hello! Tangleweed wanted to join in, sorry for being so late!))

Dear Frith above, she was surrounded by mad bucks... The red one and the black one both seemed crazy about running at least, and another buck was also quickly approaching their little gathering. She frowned a little at the light coat of his. Another one from a human warren perhaps? She had met such rabbits that weren't completely useless so she supposed they weren't all bad, but she was always suspicious until they proved their worth.
"If you don't run, you die," she said flatly in response to the barrage of questions, "Of course I like running, it means I'm alive."
She had been slightly irritated, but found that she couldn't hang on to her annoyance. Foxtail was just so embleer enthusiastic and it was hard to stay unaffected... Oh, well... It was a nice day. Perhaps they'd be better off directing their energy into something less destructive than scaring their silflaing elders.
"U'tuhlroo," she said, introducing herself since Foxtail had done so, "So you want a race, huh? To the elderberry bushes and back?"
She assumed the others would know the bushes she talked about. It would be quite the run, long enough that both speed and endurance would count. The track was within the territory patrolled by Owsla, so it shouldn't be too much danger of elil. And, best of all, they would bother very few silflaying rabbits while running.
((OOC: Err.. I had set the thread as private, but sure. Post order: Zukuro-Chan - Werefox - Osha-Briefs - Annchen. One more round of posts and then I think we can start to roll dice for the race.))

Silver weeds ears perked at his favorite word, "race" and quickly tumbled off his rock and ran up to the two conversing rabbits: "did I hear someone mention...a race?" he huffed excitedly sitting up on his hinds and cleaning his face off a bit before smiling at the two and suddenly finding his manners "my name is Silverweed, sorry for the start before. I saw someone running and got excited." he said with a polite little bow of sorts to the two rabbits.
when he noticed he had been followed he looked to the white speckled rabbit and tilted his head and became excited again. he loved meeting new rabbits and the anticipation of a race made him feel as if about to explode! "hello there stranger. do you like to run too? what's your name? we're gonna race! do you wanna watch or join? it will be so much fun, I'm Silverweed!" he said, talking so fast the other rabbit would be lucky only to catch his name in the blur.

((OOC, Oh, I'm sorry! I didn't realize it was private or I would have asked first instead of just cutting in. The order sounds good, thanks for letting me join! ))
