[[ooc: This RP takes place when Fish Bones & Golden-Spider are younger, as in just old enough to be considered bucks. So it predates any RP they come to as adults.]] Fish Bones had just found the best spot to start his naming dream pond. Now, he's wandering the edges of the existing pond, trying to figure out how to reshape it, and what materials to use to make the desired shape stay. As each idea comes to him, he makes a mental note of it, speaking it out loud to help it stick. "Hmm, logs and rocks would do good to provide an outline for that end.. And mud, smaller rocks, grasses, and other plat matter would be good to shore it up.." Lost in his thoughts, he continues pacing the area.

Golden-Spider is following a random path, not watching much where he is going. Around the bend, he hears a voice, and stops."Hmm, logs and rocks would do good to provide an outline for that end.. And mud, smaller rocks, grasses, and other plat matter would be good to shore it up.."Intriuged, he continues on, coming into a clearing. In the clearing is a green buck, and a pond. Stoping a few feet away from this other buck, Golden-Spider clears his throat. "Hello. I overheard you talking. I could help, if you'd like." Offering help to strangers isn't his normal thing, but Golden-Spider finds himself bored. Some hard work would do me good.

Fish Bones turns at the unexpected voice, focusing on the buck who spoke. "Yes, thank you, help would get this done faster. I want to reshape this end of the pond, so it's more of an egg shape then round." When he's done speaking, Fish Bones sets about rolling logs into the pond's new outline.

The golden buck nods, following the other Kimeti's lead. Seeing some rocks he starts pushing one of them in among the logs. "So why are you reshaping the pond?" Wedging his rock firmly among the logs, he goes to roll another one to the next spot.

Finishing one side of the edge to be reshaped, Fish Bones walks around the buck helping him. "This will probably sound silly.. But I want to make my home look like the pond from my naming dream." He had not intended to tell the other buck this. Instead, Fish Bones had meant to say something along the lines of 'It looks better.' Blushing, and wondering why he'd let the truth out, Fish Bones starts moving logs into the other side of the edge.

Golden-Spider stops when he hears the other's words. "Recreate your naming dream? Huh, it doesn't sound silly to me. I dunno that I've met other's who have done it, so maybe it's odd. But not silly." As he resumes rolling the rock into place, he sighs. At least this Kimeti can recreate his dream. "I'm Golden-Spider, by the way." As he says this, Golden-Spider settles the rock between the logs, then looks up expectantly at the other, waiting for a name.

Fish Bones smiles, glad the other buck seems to understand. Odd, he can handle, but he'd hate for others to think him silly or deranged. "I'm Fish Bones, nice to meet you." He pushes the last of the logs into place, then sets about helping Golden-Spider move rocks into the spaces.

He gives nothing more then a nod and a grunt at Fish Bones' response, then goes about rolling another rock into place. Fitting that one in a gap, Golden-Spider turns goes to get another. "So how will the pond look once it's done?" Selecting a rock, he starts to push and roll it towards a gap.

Fish Bones stops to answer the other buck. "This pond will be an inner pond. We'll have to build the sides up a bit, but the fact that the surrounding area is depressed will make filling it as an outer pond easier." Fitting his rock into place, he stops, looking around. They'd managed to get the outline done. Now just to fill the cracks between rocks and logs with mud and such. Clambering over the reshaped outline, he starts pushing piles of mud and plant stuffs toward the logs. "This next bit will be fairly messy." Using his snout, Fish Bones pushes mud up onto a rock. Then he uses a hoof to push it down into the cracks.

Golden-Spider shrugs at Fish Bones' statement. "A little mud never hurt." While his partner works on the inside, he starts pushing and scraping a pile of, well not quite mud, not quiet dirt, over to the outside edge. Golden-Spider walks around to the pond, lowers his head and takes in a mouthful of water. Going back, he spits it out into the pile. Seeing he'll need more water, Golden-Spider repeats this a few times. Once he's gotten enough, he uses his hooves to mix it all up, not bothering to pick out leaf litter in the mix. Then he shoves it up and into a crack, smoothing it down with his hoof.

After many minutes of working, Fish Bones stops, taking stock of his side. All most all the cracks were filled, he scrambles over the edge to look at Golden-Spider's side. Seeing the other's side is nearly done too, Fish Bones nods. Just a few more cracks to fill, then we can start on covering the whole thing with mud." Going back to his side, Fish Bones does just that.

He looks up at Fish Bones, about to congratulate them on work well don. "Wait, what? Why cover it all in mud?" Watching the other get back to work, Golden-Spider follows his example, filling in the last few cracks on his side. Once done, he sits on his haunches, waiting for Fish Bones to answer.

Fish Bones sits as well, more then ready to take a break after the work. "Well, it should look as natural as possible." As he finishes speaking, his stomach gives a grumble, reminding him he hasn't eaten since early that morning. "You hungry too?" He looks around, noting the pond isn't big enough to hold fish large enough to bother catching. There is a berry bush, but protein is needed for all this work..

Golden-Spider nods. "Yea, now that you mention it, I am. Are those berries any good? He gets up, walking over to the bush in question, and examining it.

Fish Bones follows the gold Kimeti, looking at the bush as well. He smiles, seeing it leaden of ripe berries. "Yes, they're fine to eat. We'll need protein too." Fish Bones wanders around the bush, poking his head in now and again. "Ah-ha! Found it, there's a nest over here." Carefully he reaches in, plucking an egg out of the nest. It fits nicely in his mouth, so Fish Bones cracks it open, throwing his head back to let the gooey insides run down his throat.
