I was a former Twilight fan but I'm not the bad kind. Even when I liked Twilight, I still treated it like any other book I've read. Anyways... I hated the way the author ended the series as the best and most obvious choice for a husband and love for Bella Swan imprinted on her baby. In my opinion:
1: Bella and Jacob
I honestly believe the relationship was healthier.
1) Both mortal. 2) Family that knew each other and history. 3) Friendship. 4) They took the time to properly create a relationship, they met, became friends, etc, etc. 5) Jacob isn't stalking and emotionally abusive like Edward.
6) She acknowledges in the third book that she loves him too (unfortunately, "not as much" as Edward). 7) With the werewolves, she could have retained all aspects of the supernatural and possibly could have bridged the gap between werewolves and vampires easier. cool Staying with Jacob and she could have retained her humanity, family, human friends, and LIFE. 9) More children because she wouldn't have became frozen. 10) She has no choice but to never see her mother again...or classmates because she had changed too much. 11) Jacob had more reasons for loving her than because she "smelled nice".
2: Bella and Edward:
1) Incompatable. 2) Bella turns to mush around Edward and compares him to adonis. 3) Edward stalks her and tells her who she can or can't talk to. 4) Edward began a relationship with Bella that he left due to the most OBVIOUS of reasons. Vampires > Humans. He knew that the entire time. Retard. 5) He should have done more to remove the child from Bella while she was first pregnant if he loved her.

I almost enjoyed the parts of New Moon when she hung out with Jacob. She seemed almost normal, I didn't have to hear "OMIGOSH SOOO HOT!!1!1!ONE!!!) every second, and Jacob wasn't nearly as emo as Edward. Except when Bella was hearing voices. (key word=ALMOST)
But yeah, I completely agree.
EDIT: Oh yeah, except the fact that it would have bridged the gap between vamps and wolves. Eddykins would have either
A. Attacked and killed Jacob and took Bella back (she would OBVIOUSLY forgive him, and realize what a HORRIBLE mistake she had made)
B. Pick off or attack Jacob's friends until he cracked and broke up with Bella (Bella would eventually go back to Edward, or by the POWER OF TRU WUB stay together forever! and save everyone)
C. Go away for good
D. Make the gap between vamps and wolves even worse
E. Try and commit suicide, the result is exactly what happening in New Moon, Bella would save him and they stay together)
F. Succeed in committing suicide.

You can just TELL Meyers has an issue with normal human relationships in both meanings.
Bella X Jacob is the type of relationship that has deeper roots and more meaning behind then what Bella X Edward could ever achieve.
Edward was "hot", Bella smelled "pretty" and was pretty desperate. That's as deep as it gets. scream

Bella X Jacob is the type of relationship that has deeper roots and more meaning behind then what Bella X Edward could ever achieve. Edward was "hot", Bella smelled "pretty" and was pretty desperate. If she writes about horrid relationships built off lust being better than ordinary, deep, connecting relationships, just imagine what Meyer's marriage was built off. ... gonk

Not to mention Jacob and Bella had more than five conversations before they fell in love, like Eddy and Bella.
And Jacob, yes, would be healthier. He said something along the lines-"Edward's like a drug to you, but I'd be healthier. I'd be the air, the sun."
It was nice during New Moon not to constantly hear about Edward's 'Liquid Topaz Eyes" and how he resembled "Zeus's younger, hotter little brother."
We still heard a loooot about his voice though.

dearly sorry, but i don't recognize anyone and it's half-past one in the morning, so i classified most of these posts as tl;dr.
forgive me if anyone else has said so, but chemistry was a strong factor in the obviously anti-certified bellaxjacob. definitely attributed to jacob's wisp of a personality making up for bella's lackthereof.
long story short, in twilight, jacob could could make a relationship with a rock look lovely and strong and, most of all, proper. that is, until the demon spawn was born.

Edward is not that much of an a** to kill Jacob had Bella went with him. The point of new Moon in the first place is that he believed Bella would have been better off with someone else. Ergo, while Edward would not have been 100% on the idea, he would have enough sense not to let his prejudices get between them or he'd have Carslie (or whatever) kick his butt.

Without Edward and his Adonis like looks, I believe Bella would have lost about 70% of why anti's hate her. She'd still be a b***h but we'd have less of a chance to see that. Jacob is much better. Even his actor is SMEXY! That's the only reason I kept reading the books. I loved Jacob. He had personality and depth that only Bella and Edward and the rest of the characters could have DREAMED about.

Personally, I hate the series, the actors are all stonies, and now, I'm moving on past these retarded attempts to "sway us back".
