Brief In Book History: (*currently re-reading books to check spelling and accuracy*) Taken by Dorothea and her Coven at a young age and trained to be a pleasure slave, Daemon is a master at mixing pleasure with pain. Despite what he was, he never had actually had sex; most considered him to be impotent, but he knew the truth. He was waiting for the woman whose love he was born to be; Witch. Dreams made flesh. Ruler of Ebon Askavi. Finally, after over a thousand years of waiting, of whoring in other courts and then turning them to dust in fits of rage, Jaenelle Angelline was born. He was sent to her territory as a pleasure slave, a 'gift' for her upstart Queen of a grandmother. There, he fell in love with the young girl, just twelve years old.
Events, including her rape and his madness, conspired to keep them apart, and once they were torn from each other they were not reunited until Jeanelle was twenty five years old, and Queen of all Kaelar. Once he found her again, he received the final pieces of himself, and became the Sadist once more, plotting to seduce her and make her his. He succeeded, and the two were at last wholly joined in love. However, the taint was still alive and well in Terriele, and to stop it, Jeanelle, Witch, needed to work a dangerous spell... and to do it, she needed Sadi to buy her time by becoming the Sadist fully once more. He agreed, but only on the condition that she marry him once he returned, knowing that he would do some unforgivable things while gone, to both his father an his brother. He bought his love the time she needed, and returned... only to find that the spell had killed the 'Queen of Ebon Askavi'. He fell into grief, and almost into madness again.
However, months later, he found that Witch and the Queen of Ebon Askavi were not the same person... and that if he could accept that... if he could accept Jaenelle as simply Witch, he could have her back. The last time we see them, they are being reunited for the final time on her sick bed.
In Book Temperment: (*currently re-reading books to check spelling and accuracy*) Sadi isn't called The Sadist for nothing. He mixes pleasure with pain so exquisitely that once you experience it, you'll never be the same again. With one glazed-eyed look, he can stir a primal lust or a primal fear - in both woman and men. However, his services are definitely geared more towards women. He hates the tainted women in Terialle, and will often, after serving in a Court for only a short time, destroy it from the inside out, killing the Queen and all those who serve her. He is kept in check only by the Ring he wears around his flaccid organ, that sends debilitating pain through him; however, he has learned to resist it somewhat, and can bring down ruin around him before he is brought to his knees. Once he escapes to Kaelar, he finally meets a different kind of woman; queens he can respect, who don't bring revulsion out of him. It is then that we truly meet for the first time the warm, kind-hearted man underneath the layers of coldness he has cultivated. He actively seeks to protect those around him, though his loyalty lies first and foremost with Jaenelle; he would abandon everything and anything to do what he had to do to protect and please her.

Dress: Cerridwyn likes to dress off as often as possible; even on a regular day, she can be found wearing cocktail dresses and tall black heels. She's a firm believer in the statement that if you look good, then you feel good, and so will dress to the nines whenever given the opportunity. For her, 'dressed down' will often mean a short skirt, blouse and high heels. When she's really slumming it, however, she'll go barefoot, with baggy jeans and a t-shirt. Generally, she refuses to wear these shorts of outfits out in public, reserving the sight of her in them only for close friends and family.
Occupation: College Student/Freelance Journalist
Brief History: Cerri comes from a family that, while not rich, is definitely better off than most. The death of her father at an early age left her with a trust fund that she now lives off of, supporting herself through school. She's been in college now since she was eighteen, with majors ranging from East Asian Studies to Mythology to Art History, and once was even briefly a math major. She simply can't settle on an area of interest, and so has decided that perhaps being a life-long scholar is her best choice. However, with the trust fund shrinking yearly, she had to find other means to support herself, and turned to writing editorials and other articles for various local newspapers. Generally, she speaks about the eclectic goings on in the city where she lives, and where to find all of the neat little things that you wouldn't know about otherwise.
Temperment: Often seeming to be in a daze, it's hard to tell that Cerri is actually a very sharp young woman. She rarely seems to be in the same world as whoever she's speaking to, and will jump from topic to topic with little to no segway at all. She is, however, very caring, and that tends to be obvious; she wants to take care of everyone and everything that she comes into contact with - thus the bevy of stray animals she's adopted over the years. The only time her rather tart wit is exposed is when she's writing under a pseudonym or she's drunk, in which case she simply can't control herself.
