Sleeping soundly in the Graveyard was the lion cub by the name of Aysha. For some reason she had stayed in this place since she happened upon it. Even thought the nice big lion Chomo had told her it was dangerous for her to stay alone, she followed her instinct and stayed in a place that suited her. Besides, she hadn't seen any hyenas so far. Who's to say that she would ever meet one?

So, sleeping she continued to do, under one of the smaller rib cages that were scattered across the land. Something inside her stirred, though, and so the black and white cub began to wake up... only slightly though.

Ithi had found the sleeping cub quite unexpectidly. She had thought that she had met most of the lions here. Her thoughts on staying here for good were soon becoming incredibly thin, this would just be a stopping place. The more lions she found here the less likely she would stay. She wanted to find a place that either had an idiot for a ruler so that she could mate with him and then rule or somewhere, well she didn't know. However much she liked this place more lions kept popping up.

She walked over to the sleeping cub and prodded her, "Oi! Wake up!" She was just a little demanding as she sat down next to the sleeping cub, her tail wrapped around her. "Who are you?"

"NuuuuuAYSHA!" the cub cried out at the sudden prod and question. Only half-awake, she responded to the question and the random appearance of the other lioness at the same time. And for a moment after her 'answering' she lay unmoving in that same spot, as if she had been dreaming and was replying somehow...

But a second later--it took a bit for the presence of Ithi to click in her brain since she was still kinda groggy--her eyes shot open and the only thing she saw was the face of the other. "AH!" she cried, immediately jumping up. But that jump led her to get a slight knock in the head... oi, she forgot that the rib cage she had slept in wasn't all that big..

Blinking at the other while cursing herself for her stupidity, Aysha wondered for a moment who this was. Finally unable to recall having ever met her, she smiled then sat up 'properly'.

"I'm Aysha, who're you?" The black and white female prodded the other back for a sort of 'revenge'.

Ithi wasn't too happy with the prodding so pushed the cub over. "Watch who your proding!" She didn't snarl though she wished to greatly. She just looked down at the small black and white cub, stupid thing living here. Ithi had just returned from a short wandering, she had been to the jungle where she had met Laana and would be soon leaving for the mistweaver lands, it would be paradise.

"I am Ithibati, Ithi to you." She started to wash her paw, her turquoise eyes glued on the cub, "So what is a cub like you doing out here, and, all alone?" She smiled a little, her evil smirk as she spoke but she was being nice, something very rare for Ithi.

"Well sor~ry!" the younger female replied back to being pushed over, though of course she was still playing around. All life was to her at this point was a game. Being only a cub, she hadn't experienced anything great or significant to show her otherwise. So, yawning widely, she just lay there with a weird grin on her face, belly up from when she had been pushed over.

"Well, Ithi,"--She really thought the name to be quite weird--"I was sleeping until you came along." Her voice was still playful. After smiling for a moment, she really answered the question. "I'm here because I'm searching for perfect lands for my family. They sent me away to find a good place to call home for our family. Mzaa taught me lots of stuff to know before I left." Like how to hunt and keep oneself alive.

"What are you doing out here all alone?" Aysha thought it only fair to ask the question in return.

"Perfect Lands eh?" She smiled, somewhat sweetly for once. "I left my family for a while and am resting in the pride, i have found the lands i wish to go and live in, they are paradise." She smiled again wondering if she could pursade the young cub to go with her towards the mistweavers.

Aysha flicked her tail thoughtfully. "Yeah, I actually like these lands... though they kinda smell." She made a funny face then, but smiled to show that she still liked the Graveyard despite its stench of death. "Chomo is really nice, too! I haven't met his friend Ausha though..." Oh well, she probably would in due time. For right now she just shrugged it off.

Then, when the other mentioned something about paradise, her attention was immediately grabbed. "Paradise?!" The young cub had been looking for paradise this whole time, and Ithi claims to have found it? How amazing! This female was extraordinary!

"D-do you think you could show me?" she asked, clear excitement showing through the brightness in her voice and her facial expression.

The lioness purred happily, for once she was being the true lioness that she was and slightly playfull too, "Yes I will show you!" Her tail was moving rather violently behind her, she was slightly afraid something would go wrong here and that she would lose any chance of finding a home, "Its a beaufitul place, I can take you there if you so wish?" She continued to purr and stretched a little before turning to leave, "You want to come then?" She would take the cub to the misties with her, that way she wouldn't have to travel alone, could leave Laana to that thing she hated so much and be happy, at last.

"Yes please!" the young cub said excitedly. Finally! She had found a guide to take her to the perfect lands, paradise. She would check out the lands, and if they were suitable enough, go back to her family and tell them all about it! Boy would they be pleased with her!

But then, when Ithi turned to leave and asked if she wanted to go, Aysha tilted her head slightly. What about Chomo? He and that other big lion had been the only ones she got really attached to. Hm... perhaps this older female would let her tell the red lion of her journey first, so that he may wish her luck and not worry that she was caught by some hyena? It was worth a try...

"Hey... Ithi... do you think I could talk to Chomo first? He's a real good friend of mine and I'd like to say goodbye first."

Ithi turned and sighed, she was being herself with this cub, something she rarely was so she was being nice. "Yeah sure. We will go and look for him and Ausha." She smiled at the cub before jumping up onto an old pile of bones that were close by. She sat down, her tail flicking behind her as she looked out, her new home would soon be an old home though she would return, she had no doubt about that. There was the other lioness, the one her own age, her only real friend.

Aysha yipped excitedly and her tail immediately wagged, something like what a dog would do... which was strange being as she was a cat. Realizing that it was weird, she immediately stopped, though, and just looked towards Ithi on the bones. "Thanks so much! I don't know whether Chomo would have worried about me or not but it's better safe than sorry, right?" She nodded to herself, confirming in her head that this was true.

Stretching again, as her joints had begun to stiffen up, she yawned as well. "Well then, can you lead? I don't know where Chomo normally stays when he's not patrolling the borders."

Ithi smiled at the cub and nodded her head, "Sure follow me!" She led the way to the place where Ausha had told her to sleep. She had seen and met Chomo there before so maybe again this time she would find him again. Just before they reached the place she turned to the cub once more, "I may leave you for a bit when we get there I may not but just to warn you ok?" She smiled at the cub before continuing her walk.

Aysha followed as quickly as her little paws could carry her. Being smaller than the other, she had some difficulty keeping up. Of course, Ithi had longer legs so it was to be expected...

Then, when they reached a place the young cub had never really seen before, she blinked and looked around. She was confused as to why the female might randomly leave, but she knew better than to ask of her elder. "Oh, alright... I'll look for Chomo." And with that she let her nose hover above the ground for a moment, searching for his scent.

The stench of death, however, overpowered any Chomo-scent that might have been left there. Darn. So, instead the black and white She resorted to calling out his name. "Chomo! Chomo?"
PostPosted: Wed Nov 23, 2005 6:56 am

Chomo was used to Ausha's somewhat high pitched yelling of his name, and sort of subconciously got to his feet as the calls reached his ears. It took a few moments for him to actually register that in fact, it was not Ausha who called on him.

"Huh?" Shrugging off his sleepyness, he headed towards the voices, somewhat hurriedly. Anyone making that much of a racket in the graveyard was putting themselves on the line a little, and he didn't want anything to happen to someone well aquiainted enough with him to know his name.

Still, when he was happy that making a sound here would not give away the den, he let out a low rumble growl, not threatening, just a noise, like a boulder tumbling down a cliffside.

Then he stepped into veiw of the two other lions, all blood-coloured fur, ember-like eyes and sheer friendly muscle. "Ah, hello. You yelled?" he stated with an easy grin, his expression soft and warm, so different from Ausha's somewhat cold sarcastic exterior.

Aysha, once Chomo had come into view, could see that the other was probably sleeping. Did that mean she had awaken him from his slumber? Now she felt bad...

"I'm sorry if I woke ya," she began to apologize. A slight frown crossed her maw for a moment. Even thought she had only met the red lion once really and they didn't even get to know each other that well, the black and white female had taken quite well to him. He was like a second father, which was kinda funny being as his name was close to her actual father's name. She would be very sad when she left him for paradise. Perhaps she could come and visit, though?

Then, with that thought in mind, that frown was replaced with an excited smile. "I met Ithi and she said she knew where paradise was! She's even going to take me there and I might... stay... there..." A sad look came over her face again.

"I just wanted to say goodbye to you before I left," she said softly, looking down at the ground now. Then she cheered up and looked at him again. "But I'll come and visit you lots! And if I happen to not like this place she calls paradise, I can always come back... right?"

There was a slim thought of doubt in her mind that he might tell her it was too dangerous in the graveyard for her to stay here and try and find him all alone. Yet... what else was she to do? There was no one else she knew and liked enough to want to stay with them.
