Pages 161-165 x i I N K Tick. Tick. Tick.
It was a silent night. It always was. As a result, the sound of numerous clock ticking in time with each other in the large and seemingly endless library was no longer intimidating, even though he was alone. The librarian sat quietly as the desk near the front of the entrance, hiding behind the numerous amount of books that had curiously accumulated to a ridiculous amount. He flipped the page of a book, his nose buried within its pages that he had possibly read for the hundredth time. It wasn't like it mattered, he had read all the books in the building many times before and they never got boring. No, he loved them all rather passionately, after all, he lived them as the place was his home.
He had been there for as long as he could remember and he never left, he wasn't allowed to because if he wasn't there, then place would cease to exist and never to return. Of course, there was no way he would let such a thing happen. After such a long time, one would think he'd be bored of the lifestyle, but in fact, he was anything but. Rather, it was the building who found it rather tedious to pass days without any change. There were no visitors, hence, there was no activity, exception to the one bookkeeper but shuffled about, taking books off shelves and putting others back.
So, it began to change. It began to create mischief.
In other words, it was having a fit, just to make the Librarian take action. Just to make Ink, invite newcomers to it's world.
Lessieal A cold breeze filtered the air in swirls that made even the simplest of objects have the appearance of dance. It was a time of memory, and longing never to forget, a time to move on yet still clinging to that which made her what she was today. It was odd how some past images were but shadows, as other images lingered like crystals catching glimmers of the sun. A place that was new was desired, one in which she could close off any doors which held the mirrors she wished not to gaze upon. Those she would open when she felt she was ready, if she ever found the bravery too.
Her walk upon the mortal realm lead her to a door, a place she could have sworn she never saw before, although the path she took was one she lingered on over and over like a habit. A hesitation as she pondered where this sign may lead, her breathing quickening before stopping suddenly as she held her breath to step through the well craved entrance.
Lessieal was the type of beauty that looked normal upon first glance only for ones to wonder why she stood out against others. Perhaps it was the aura about her or the hidden secrets in her soul. Her long cornflower blue hair danced when the misty smell of the room ran to escape the old library just before closing the door. Her bangs held it from her face by being braided down against the loose pieces along the back. Eyes a purple to lavender blend, the type in which others feared being lost in the maze if they lurked too long within them. Her confidence was a façade, the lost that haunted her was almost too much to bear, but she knew the title she had to hold with pride left no room for strangers to see weakness.
Inside her eyes took awhile to adjust to the change of light, roaming curious. The aisles seeming to go on forever in ways, each shelf skillfully crafted as if they were a map to the books they held. This place was breath taken, and she found herself almost lost in it’s magic to the point of not noticing anything else living that may have also been lurking it’s dark halls.
x i I N K Thud.
Ink peeled his eyes off the pages of the book only to take a quick glance around and roll his eyes. He sighed in exasperation, moving up from his place and heading down one of the aisle, his white robe shifting almost elegantly behind him. In appearance, the man was a very contrasting sort of person, he seemed like the type who did most everything with grace, but in reality, he tended to be a bit clumsy.
He stumbled over non-existent objects that lay sporadically on the floor as he made his way towards one of the many rooms in the library. He groaned as he reached his destination, setting his gaze upon three rather mischievious looking children climbing the book shelves, one boy and two girls. One already seem to have managed to get her way up to the top, her red curls bouncing as he shifted about to make herself comfortable, the other was making her way up with a hand from a young boy clad in red and black.
"I told you three to not do this sort of thing." He said sternly before reaching up and taking the one girl down with ease, the other two remained in their same position while watching. He frowned at them "Well, get down, already." He huffed and the two quietly obeyed.
He sighed and began to brush the dust off the red-headed girl. It wasn't a wonder the three were so much trouble, they were after all, the very troublesome characters of a very abstract novel, 'Alice in Wonderland'. He had already gotten a few people to come by to the library to take some the children home with them but it was beginning to become rather difficult. More children kept popping up by the day and he was wondering how long he would have to continue running the makeshift adoption agency.
The library was a magical sort of place, ordinary humans weren't supposed to frequent it. He had managed to ship off books to others before characters came out, but it was by rare chance that he was able to find out before the event occurred. As a result, he was forced to make the building visible on occasions to humans and the like. He needed to, he didn't have a choice. Really, though, it simply annoyed him only because the old library clearly wasn't satisfied with him alone.
Holding the hand of two of the children, the Mad Hatter and Alice, who in return, held the Queen of Hearts hand, he whisked them out of the room and down the aisles.
That's when he heard footsteps.
He frowned. There couldn't possibly be another character running about.... could there? Following the sound of steps, he did his best to make his way to the source without any accidents. He knew the place like the back of his hand, so it was no feat finding the mysterious individual.
It was a woman.
He eyed her curiously before taking in a breath and asking "May I help you?"
Lessieal It was the sudden noise that snapped Lessieal out of her dream in away. A noise of something falling or hitting a hard object, it caused her to grow wary. The habit of someone who never knew what enemy may appear and expected them to do so almost everywhere. One hand to her chest, she moved her free arm behind her back as those shimmering eyes of her tried to locate where the sound may have came from. There was another noise that of some papers flickering against each other or books crumbing together. Her eyes narrowing some not sure what was going on. Was this a mere trap? Why would they want her though she had given up her job for the most part long ago?
Trying to be more and reasonable, explaining to herself that she was in fact the one who entered this world Lessieal took calming breaths. More movement could be heard but after awhile she tried to push it off as mice or the likes. This obvious was a rare library or bookstore of sorts. As she roamed she gentle allowed her finger to trail along some of the books spines, a wide range of stories some in which even she had never heard of. When a voice cut the silence, once more she was surprised turning suddenly to face the man who may put even some of her fellow angel’s to shame by his grace. How did he manage to get so close without her sensing? Behind her never the less it seemed. “I apologize if I’m intruding; I suppose I was just looking for a place to explore?”
He seemed harmless enough, although she had learned long ago not to make that mistake too quickly. She wouldn’t drop her guard fully merely appear to. “What is this place? Is it an archive of sorts?”
x i I N K The woman he had found wandering about the library was most definitely not human. Perhaps a woman from a different place, he had after all, made the place visible at random intervals in random places. There were after all, many different worlds, but alas, ther was only one of his library.
The woman seemed surprise at his sudden appearance and looked a bit as if she was on guard, as if expecting him to suddenly attack her. He felt the three children pull nervously at him, they were obviously becoming a bit frightened. They already had enough trouble trusting him, but he was quick to gain it, otherwise, they would obviously be more than a bit wary of others. Despite their devious personalities, even they got a bit scared at times.
"Ah, is that so, then feel free to. There is much to see in this place. Most aren't able to see all of it since there are many hidden rooms around here." He said, with a slight smile, intrigued by the sense of adventure by the newcomer. The building was pretty much a maze. It may not seem much outside, but it was ridiculously large inside. It was practically a city of books.
He didn't approach, she seemed to be rather cautious of him. It was the same sort of feeling he got when characters began to appear out of their books, they had no recollection of who they were and the like so they were afraid of everybody.
Always aware.
"It is simply a library. It holds every existing book in the world, from the most famous to simple day to day diaries of an average person's life. You may not believe it but whatever book comes to it's end, it appears in here." He looked at around, gazing up at the shelves taht practically touched the ceilings "Fascinating, is it not?" Lessieal Lessieal’s eyes stayed firm on the man, as a teacher may look over a student at times when they question the child’s reasons or motives. Slowly trailing they moved to the children, and then there was a pause seeing the fear. A soften of her features but she was not about to approach or go out of her way to fix this when their mistrust was obviously as strong as hers. Sometimes being wary saved lived after all, as long as they knew how to live as well without fear at times. Why wasn’t the man as wary though? It confused her; instead she decided to show a sign of trust of her own by turning her back and allowing her eyes to marvel about the books once more.
Gaining his permission to roam got a soft smile to cross her lips, melting the icy stern features she first held. His explanation of the realm though had her looking to him once more as if to confirm his words to be true. “Then maybe I will roam, and discover, and if it is warrant show you what I find, and perhaps have the same favor traded.” To explore such a lovely place, one that so far showed no real danger besides that of getting lost. It excited her in ways. ‘Books were a thing that held a beauty most couldn’t see otherwise’ she was told once by an old blind friend as he remorse in some of the things he missed. Reading to him was a joy she never expected to find, but like all mortals and friends time brings the one known as Death. Shame the other angels or demons didn’t seem to be able to grasp the silent wisdom these mortals taught. It made her wonder how little she even managed to capture in her journeys, their company was always the best even if it was always short lived.
The man before her went on explaining the world in which she managed to stumble in. It’s magic, and opening the door to some of it’s secrets. It only made her more curious, wishing to stay amongst its dusty tombs. “What are the hours in which you close and open? That way I won’t burden you.” She knew she couldn’t stay forever exploring its mazes, a library was meant for humans after all, and like most mortal things it had its hours; everything that had breathed needed rest, and nutrition after all. “I would like to teach you though, a simple bit of knowledge. If your words are truth this is far from a mere simple library, I have never heard of such a place even on the whispered lips of others.” Of course when he asked her if she found it fascinating her eyes glanced towards the top most shelves and the answer left her lips in a silent voice of song “Truly.”
x i I N K Clearly, the woman was a bout curious of him. He wasn't surprised, after all, he was the librarian of a rather curious and questionable library that was hardly ever seen. She quickly smiled at him, however, and he felt that the dark air around them had dissipated into nothingness.
She seemed genuinely interested in the mystery that was the building, and he honestly felt a bit elevated by that. Yes, he didn't appreciate the fact that she wandered in due to the building's tantrums but, it was nice to have company as well, not that he didn't already have them through the children.
"Please do so. I'm sure, even if I am the one who takes care of this place, there are many other areas I have to yet to see. Take as much time as you wish, this library is always alive. If you ever have any troubles, there are a few books here that will show you maps if you ask for it. This building is old but generous, it always welcomes a new arrival." He explained and he chuckled softly at her next few statements.
No ordinary library, indeed. It wasn't to most. A slip of the tongue, he supposed, after all, the library was all he saw each and everyday.
"This library is always open, it never closes, simply because it is restless. However, if you mean when do I manage it, only morning till midnight am I awake. During the time I am asleep, this place manages itself for a bit." His smile grew but gained a sort of apologetic air "My apologies, where I am from, this is not a rare sight, we have many things that are considered bizarre to other places." Lessieal Once more Lessieal was more taken away by her surroundings than the human at hand and the children. “I suppose I interrupted story time.” It made the most sense to her, after all why else would there be a group of kids following around the keeper of the books. “Do forgive me, if I’m taken up such valuable time I didn’t mean to by all means.” Her hands once more graced the spines of the books, as if feeling out which one allowing a sense to pick instead of site. She wasn’t sure why but this place brought a sense of ease and comfort.
It was his comment about being the only one that watched the place that had those stunning eyes back upon him. “It seems like a lot of work for one man. What will happen once you pass away like the rest?” An odd way of stating it perhaps but the question remained the same. It seemed like out of all he told her him being the only one was the most unbelievable. “You must at least have lots of visitors, mort, I mean humans tend to wilt more without company.”
Then he spoke of where he came from and confusion maybe for the first time in a long while crossed the woman’s face. “I don’t understand.” She had never before thought true the existence of other worlds outside of Heaven, Hell, and Earth it seemed. She questioned approaching or stepping away from him, torn by the simple choice this gave her. “If you don’t mind explaining, when you have time, I will be willing to listen.”x i I N K Ink felt his brows furrow at her statement but he was quick to realize at what she was referring to. he looked down at the children, who seemed like they were getting a bit restless. He didn't know if it was because the woman was there or because they were simply anxious to start running around again but they obviously couldn't stand in the same place any longer.
He let go of their hands and sighed, bending down to them, making sure he had their attention "You guys can go play again, just don't stray off to far.... and no more climbing bookshelves." He tapped their noses once and they all nodded vigorously before darting in the other direction.
He straightened up again and shook his head "They weren't here for story-telling. It's more like, they don't have a home and they live here." He replied calmly "There are a lot of mysteries in this place... they would be included as one of them. Yes another thing I can tell you about if you wish to hear it."
He slowly walked down the aisle, a bit closer to her but not too close, he was a fair distance away. He turned towards one of the shelves and began to scan through them with his eyes "It does seem like a lot of work for one person, especially in a place as large as this one, but I've read every book here, at least, the ones that I can see with my eyes. I've organized them and taken care of them for many years and you might find it hard to believe but..." He smiled and pulled out a book, flipping through its pages "I'm very, very old and was alive when the very first book came to this library. It started off simply as a small little two room building. More books came to light however, and it expanded quickly. I was a child then, my master was the keeper of this building.
"I won't pass away for many years from now but... I'll have to find a successor before I do. I'm not worried however. Not many pass through this library, simply because it really only appears when I will it to or when someone is in desperate need of it. It's a complex thing. I have all the time in the world to tell you, if you're willing to hear all of it." Lessieal Lessieal allowed him to approach his words carried over like the turning of the world. A bit of rambling and mumbling, key things being picked up here and there, and little of it made sense. A few moments of it and she actually wondered if he was bragging, a raise of an eyebrow from her as she did. Taken a deep breath she moved back on guard almost refusing to back down or turn fearful by the everlasting mortal before her.
“I suppose if one keeps up with them every time a new book is added it could be done.” She knew questioning his age would be rude so she didn’t quite take that method yet. He was odd, almost an enigma in himself. “I take it there is also a book that will tell me all about you and your life of organization?” Was she being rude? Perhaps the more questions that came up the more she felt the comfort slipping. She was of a world in which she used to be the most knowledgeable now in a world she was starting to feel she knew very little. How could the angel of lesions teach something when she didn’t know it herself? It brought about a wondering if this was the fear she seemed to cause to others.
It was his words on when the library appeared that set her off and she took a few firm steps forward. “Desperately need? Are you honestly suggestion I came here merely because I had no where else to go?” He was on the money but her angelic pride refuses to allow acknowledgment of such things yet. She seemed a bit taken back, like he had threaded on her toes suddenly. “Please do, tell me whatever you wish, I have plenty of time myself.” Her words were firm, back to that strict side, almost too business or professional like, what a guard.
x i I N K The book in his hand closed firmly and he slowly put it back to it's place, his other hand pushing the sleeve of his robe away so as to not get caught anywhere. He glanced over at her with a thoughtful expression "There are many books here that will tell you of my people's culture, their lifestyles and even their secrets. A book on me however, you will find that there are references to me in some, but none here will tell you everything you need to know of me. I don't leave this library enough to be referred to in other's stories, nor have I ever written one on myself." he chuckled at the lack of tact of her question. She certainly was forward, but perhaps only because she was merely curious.
He smiled softly and eyed her knowingly, despite the fact he hadn't known as to why she came in, it seemed almost obvious with her abrupt statement. "I wouldn't know, all I said are the possibilities, I never stated anything about you needing this place." He replied matter-of-factly before pulling out another book "Maybe you did need this place, maybe you didn't. Either way, you're here now."
"Well, since you have time, I'll explain a bit. This library has a mind of it's own. It gathers information, has emotions, has a way of thinking that is beyond comprehension to people like us. It feels lonely at times, even a bit sad with the lack of visitors. This place was created for the need of others, originally, just like any other place would be. After one magical incident after another, it started to function on it's own, creating more books than a regular person can count. It was a central place for information, a place where people can go to if they needed to know something and quickly. You can imagine, however, a place that is filled with books of all written matter around the world can be dangerous." He paused and looked back at the woman "My world was at war and this place, of course, was not only of great importance, it was also a weakness. If anyone got a hold of the books here, they could do most anything if they knew how to go about getting it. You'd think the simple reasoning would be to destroy the place but because a building like this cannot be recreated, they hid it instead.
"Time passed, the world came to and end but the decided it needed to remain a secret. This library became older and lonelier. That's when it's mysteries grew." Pausing, Ink glanced over at one of the balconies where the children had managed to move themselves to "Those infants there... they are not from this world, or any possible existing place." he continued, then gesturing to the book in his hand "'Alice in Wonderland', are you familiar with this book? That is where they came from.
"This library knows I can't take care of children here, as a result it started to bring them to life, hopes that I might find people to gather here to take the children home and adopt them into their families." He laughed softly and put the book back "It will do anything to get what it wants. Honestly, it's like a child itself." Lessieal Surprisingly enough the woman actually jumped slightly when he closed the book. Lessieal didn’t know what she was dealing with, therefore didn’t know what she may be provoking by challenging it with her brave attitude. His eyes almost made her filled striped of her strength in ways, was the unknown truly such a frightening thing? She had never felt that way about it before now. He spoke of people coming here because they needed too then covered by saying he never stated this of her. It was as if he twisted his words to calm her, instead it made her wonder even more.
Then oddly enough he went through explaining the in’s and out of the place. Her looks seemed curious almost uncertain as in why he would do such a thing. This place was full of danger that was easy to understand. After all almost anything could be used for good or evil, especially knowledge. She of course didn’t realize there was a deeper meaning behind his words, a deeper reason as to why in the wrong hands this place may be the end of everything, everywhere. Although the thoughts of burning a place like this, destroying it seemed to sadden her for some reason.
His motion to the balcony had her eyes follow all too easily. The children playing managed once more a soft smile to trickle across her face only to fade quickly when she realized. Eyes going to focus back to him and the book he held. She knew it, it was a classic of the world she came from, perhaps many worlds for all she knew. “So you’re telling me, that all of this is created by people writing things down and it having no better place to go?” It made sense in a confusing type of way, the type of way that if you thought too hard on it gave you a head ache and made your head spin.
Which was the case for Lessieal and as the headache came she ended up placing a hand to her forehead. Leaning against a shelf not thinking if it could hold her or not, just that if she didn’t get support she may end up falling herself. “Why did it want me here then?”

P 166-168 x i I N K "Everything in this world needs a home." Ink stated softly as he turned towards her with his eyes resting on the bookshelves as he ran his hand down them. "The children might have come from their books not only because this place willed them too, but because they simply wanted to find something more in their lives. Perhaps, to create new stories. Just like the library who became lonely with the repetition of day to day life, perhaps the characters of the books are as well." He continued.
The woman still seemed puzzled at his words. It looked as if she understood yet didn't at the same time. As if she were seeking for new meanings that lay buried underneath what he was saying. Well, they certainly didn't know each others' names so he understood the uncomfortable feeling of the lack of knowledge.
"Why you came here, I could have said 'coincidence' by now but, perhaps you were seeking for something you can find here." He looked over at the children once more "You smile when you see children, do you have a family?"
Lessieal Home, a word long lost to her. Lessieal couldn’t help find the book keeper naive in ways. Homes were just places after all, weren’t they? They came and went within the winks of time. She couldn’t help purse her lips slightly as she wondered just how well the book keeper could read things that were beyond books as well. Was he more than human himself, a being that could strip another down to their bare soul?
Defeated, something she couldn’t help feeling around him now. It was like the guard she had, the façade she worked so hard to keep was merely glass in which he peered through without trouble. Maybe even smudged in ways others would do the same from now on. Could it be that she understood but didn’t want to give in to such things, as if acknowledgement was a way of agreeing to this defeat out loud.
It was words of what she may have been seeking that had Lessieal looking directly at him again. His mention of a family caused her arms to drape around her holding herself. “Had, things pass just as they; the boy lives his own life.” She didn’t wish to voice the lost of her love but it may have been clear by the darkening sadness that grew in her eyes. She was nothing more than a wander she gave up most of her job to have that family. The years with it were both pleasant and hard only for it to slip from her hands despite how much she fought to keep it. It was how the world works though, nothing can stay the same for too long, and the only thing one could safely keep forever was oneself. Even that changed though, like a flickering reel and went on if only slightly different from before.x i I N K There were many things that Ink did not know and he knew that. As the saying goes 'The more you know, the less you know.' He found it spoke true. The more he gained in knowledge about things from the books he read, the more questions seemed to emerge in his mind. It was the only way to pass the time besides reading, questioning things, that is. Coming up with theories and such, there was only so much he could do to occupy himself. Frankly, he didn't mind having characters come out of their pages, it helped made the world he lived in more lively. Of course, he knew, he couldn't get too attached, He couldn't take care of them.
The woman was a person who separated herself from him with the wall she created between them. However, with some small statements he made, he could see it crumble just a bit before it began to rebuild itself again. Slowly, she began to show more emotion, but only moments of it. Despite that, they were full of emotion, very expressive. When she let herself be, she was as clear to read as an open book.
"I see...." Ink began pausing a moment to think "Then perhaps.... you are looking for a new family? And that is why you came here, a sense of need for someone to live for or someone to come home to." He continued thoughtfully "I've seen a few people walk through those doors looking family, a reason to live. The children here.... they're searching for the same thing."
"My name is Azrael Farius Reckahyt Ink, but you may call me Ink. If you don't mind me asking... what is your name?" Lessieal A sighed, a rustle of her hand through her hair and Lessieal felt better. He was just making guesses, wasn’t he? They came close but at least not all of them were right. “I don’t think a new family would be best, nothing can replace some things nor would I ever try to do so.” There was too much pain with the subject, since that scar barely starting to heal and she wished not to pick at it yet. “No I think I’m just exploring, finding things to perhaps distract, and a new direction to go.”
The woman feared getting close only to lose what she gained so easily once again. When he mentioned his name though she looked quite surprised, his first name was after an angel. One in which she had a few chats with in old times. Maybe there was something to all of this, a good sign of sorts; although she was glad she didn’t have to call him by it.
The problem was the testing the water still, taken a deep breath she walked forward with what seemed to be full confidence. “I’m Lessieal, no last name; you can call me whatever makes you more comfortable though. It’s a pleasure to meet you Ink.” Her hand held out for his, a proper greeting of course, professional like. It was probably amazing that she wasn’t trying to sell something.

P 279 x i I N K "Well, of course nothing can replace family..." Ink said, looking rather apologetic "But nothing says it should stop you from having it again." He continued before bowing his head, clearly they weren't on such a pretty topic "I'm sorry, I've overstepped my boundaries."
Despite their rather grave sounding conversation, he took her hand with a polite smile and he nodded his head "It's very a nice to meet you Lessieal." He replied before letting go of her hand. She seemed to have quite the history behind her, no doubt she had been through a lot.
"Watch your step, some of the books have found their way to the ground, the children tend to pull them out without putting them back. You may stay as long as you like, we never close, after all."
Lessieal Lessieal glanced awful surprised at his forwardness. Having a family again? She wondered about that, the risk of having the joy and worries about it tumbling away so easily. It was when he apologized of over stepping his boundaries though she couldn’t help but laugh. “Yes, I suppose you did.” A soft smile crossed her face despite him doing so. “Although it may also be something I needed to hear. I’m not sure I’m ready to dive into the deep end just yet though, thank you.”
It was his offer to give her a safer place to roam that she was most grateful for though. Eyes roaming once more only to glance to the ground where the books were scattered about, and a small ‘tisk tisk’ left her lips. “Well, I suppose you need a bit of help then. I guess if I manage to find the right places for a few of these books, and set them where they belong, you won’t mind.” It was the least she could do to repay him in her own small way. “Just remember, children are always smarter than we usually give them credit for.”

P 283-286 Lessieal The old isles seemed to welcome her with their old scents and dusty magic. Oddly enough Lessieal suck out like a sore thumb between them though, that cornflower long hair, her eyes that faded from lavender to a dark shade of purple. It was quiet here though, and full of knowledge, that was enough to settle parts of her restless soul. When one went through life so fast it hurts to suddenly stop, but sometimes one doesn’t have that choice. She merely was picking up some of the falling books and putting them back in their proper place. It was zen in it’s own way, and with that she went about exploring, not noticing what was around her. L~Chan Do this, run there, pick up that, don't forget to get that on your way out... His mind buzzed at a million miles an hour as he ran as fast as his feet could take him. Felix had to look like a wreck to everyone he passed, this small man carrying countless bags as he huffed and wheezed his way through. The man slowed down once he saw his destination; the library. A sigh of relief was all he gave as he came to a stop at it's doors, dropping everything in his arms to dig for a paper in his pocket. "Schoolbooks, I need schoolbooks..." Felix sighed again, letting his body push the door open for him and leaving his bags where they were. He was too exhausted to care. "Helloooo?"bunnyilove Master torted into the Library looking for a good book or a good wife. Either one would be fine. He move swiflty and not missing a step. "Oh what a wonderful day to get a book! I just love princess story or ones with pretty girls with long hair." Master squeed in glee. He look around and click his pink finger nails together. Hmm..What should i read today? I get bored way to easily. he thought with a yawn. He notice a girl that was picking up books and he torted over. "Hello there miss! You're looking awfully cute today. I would know. I have good taste in girls." he said with a wink. Lessieal Lessieal jumped not expecting any sound other than children playing. A ‘hello’ instead echoed through the place, as if the person was desperately calling for help instead. She expected the librarian to answer of course, the soft spoken man who bubbled with what felt like secret wisdom. She was curious either way, and slowly made her way towards where she thought the voice was coming from. The first site he may have managed from her was the cute poking of her head around a shelf her blue hair falling to one side, only to vanish again quickly.
Did he see her? How embarrassing, she knew better than to spy. Especially after the man allowed her to stay as long as she wanted. Just the stories he spoke of characters jumping out of books and the library doors opening to random places. Curiosity wasn’t polite usually, and at times it could be dangerous.
She had not a clue that behind her one of these many doors had open and another gentleman had entered. A jump and the poor girl went tumbling back into a shelf, as if caught doing something she shouldn’t. Sighing as a small pile of books fell on her, so much for being her great graceful self. It was a punishment she thought she well earned, caught in the act so to speak.
L~Chan Felix looked up and brushed his bangs from his eyes to get a better look around, the place looked fairly empty, he thought he caught a glimpse of something poking around one of the shelves, but it was dismissed. Now that he had a better look though, the library didn't even look familiar. Maybe it was the lack of people... He stood up straight and brushed his dark dress shirt down to adjust any wrinkles in it, taking a few slow steps in while continuing to glance around. "You think the librarian would at least be here." he muttered to himself, displeased. The sudden sound of something falling, it sent a jolt through Felix's system when it came out of nowhere, he dropped the list that was in his hands and took a few steps back. Maybe he wasn't alone after all? The man hesitated but quickly ran to the shelf he thought he'd heard someone fall, finding the blue haired girl on the floor and covered in books. All he could do was blink and think how unfortunate that had to have been. "Um, miss? Are you alright?" his hand reached out to help her up. Kunimai Mariette found herself crushed under a pile of books, a special book called "Alice in Wonderland" laying square on top of her chest. She felt almost exausted. Peering about the dark mountain of stories, she saw what looked like another person next to her. Erina_Nobara Eri yawned as she quietly opened the door to the library and slowly made her way in. She was rather tired from working earlier. Almost as soon as she walked in, she was startled by a crash. Her gaze shifted in the direction of the noise, and she tilted her hat up so she could get a better look. Brown eyes came across a row of shelves. It must have been on the other side. Looking around, Eri decided to go investigate. She stepped up, and casually peeked around the corner. It looked like a spill, of people that is. "Um...." x i I N K " Look, Ink, I know they need a home, but really, I'm an old man and... I'm not used to taking care of kids. We've been friends for ages, sure, but you know me, the only kids I've ever raised were born as youkai. Not humans." A voice said, echoing through the whole entire building. the library had good acoustics to say the least. The source of it was a young looking man in about his twenties who seemed to be tailing rather irritably after another young man with white hair who seemed to be hurrying down the stairs.
"You three get along well enough, I don't see why not." The librarian replied simply as descended down to the first floor, making his way to the front, clearly unconcerned with the man complaints.
"Yes, well, I like children but..." He shook his head "That's not the point."
"If you like them, then what's the problem."
"Nothing, it's just-"
"Raku." A tiny female voice called out and the two of them looked over to see a small blonde haired girl with black dyed ends "What's wrong?"
Rakuto sighed and paused before approaching her and picking her up, her twin brother soon clinging onto him as well "It's.. It's nothing."
Ink looked over at them, watching with satisfaction before turning away and continuing his way to the front. Looks like it was his time to escape from on raging karasu tengu. That's when he saw a rather odd collection of people. He frowned. That didn't happen often.
"Can I help any of you?" Lessieal Lessieal gave a deep sigh, although her eyes glanced up to study the two me that came about. Maybe she should just play dead, then again that wouldn’t be very nice. Taken Felix’s hands she gave a shrug. “No I’m hurt badly, well . . . my pride is to say the least.” She wasn’t wounded, a few brushes at most. Once he let go of her hand she would start to brush off her light summer dress. “Thank you though. I apologize for spying; I was just unsure where you were from . . . literally.” Okay a bad joke, but she felt she already looked bad a few bad jokes couldn’t make it much worse. Not that the two fellows would understand unless they knew a bit more about this mystical place.
She didn’t notice the girl she happened to also knock books on. One of the children she saw dashing about before, if she did Lessieal’s dread would be magnified as well as a worry about being kicked out for such a foolish stunt.
Erina’s sound did reach Lessieal and she was starting to turn a shade of red due to embarrassment. Two people noticing was fine, it seemed to be growing though. As if this quiet library she knew was coming alive, and she couldn’t help ponder if she knocked them out of the books with the crash.
Lessieal hearing Ink’s voice ended up cutely holding up her hands in defeat. “I seemed to have made a big mess.” With that her eyes glancing around they ended up landing on the librarian once more. “They can’t come here early do to an accident that may have been caused by me, can they?”
L~Chan First it was just him, then this girl, now there was even more people popping out of god knows where, the place was empty a few minutes ago! Felix looked back and forth at everyone and began to fidget with the end of his shirt, sidling along the bookcase to get out of the way of everyone. "Well this is... uncomfortable..." He stepped behind the bookcase and sighed, deciding to hide away and answer the question that was asked from there, "I'm just here to get some schoolbooks." he said just loud enough for Ink to hear, "That girl is the one who made the mess. I really don't have time for this..." Felix frowned and took off down the aisle in a hurry.Kunimai Mariette could hear even more people now. It seemed that this accident she had gotten caught under had attracted quite the audience. She contemplated not even attempting to get out due to embarrisment, but she figured she'd suffocate if she stayed too long.
Shuffling under the books, she managed to slide her little hand out into the open, waving it only slightly since she was feeling tired. Hopefully someone would notice and pull her out of this mess... bunnyilove Master must have been in heaven. So many pretty girls and all for his taken..well expect for the other two guys, but he didn't have to worry about those too. He knew that every girl like pink so that why he always painted his finger nalis pink, to show how in tap he was with de ladies. "Well ...Hello there Ladies! Are you looking for some love because you came to the right place. I'm rich and I can make pretty children with you too! They would have a wonderful life, just like you would!" he said with a wink. Erina_Nobara Eri watched as a boy that was standing near the mess took off. "What's his problem?" she questioned, quirking a brow. "Eh?" glancing around the other that was standing there, she stared as a girl with blue hair admitted to knocking the books over. She had said something though. "Come out? Come out of where?" Maybe she meant come out of nowhere. But 'come out early?' What was that supposed to mean.
Wait a minute. That's when she noticed. "I think there's somebody behind you," Eri pointed out, fluffy ears perked. She pointed, gesturing at a pile of hardcovers that appeared to be on top of another female. "Are you all okay?" She moved to uncover the stranger.

P 287-289 x i I N K Ink sighed as he looked at the mess that was the floor, even his friend behind him who was distracted enough by his own kids, put an effort in to give a whistle of awe. He smiled tiredly at Lessieal and shook his head "I'm sure it wasn't your fault, the library is rather fickle at times of who it lets in or it could all be a coincidence and they're meant to be here." He replied reassuringly before studying the mess.
"Do you need help, Ink?" Rakuto asked as he neared the damage, taking a minute to look at everyone "A rather unusual number of people here, there aren't usually this many."
"I know. Today's just one of those days, I guess, and I'm fine." he said before looking over at the seemingly impatient man "What kind of schoolbooks? There are many to be accounted for, you'll need to be more specific if you want me to direct you." His voice sounded apologetic but Raku knew he was getting a bit impatient himself, which was saying a lot since Ink had lots of patience. He supposed that every now and then, even he lost it.
Ink bent down the pick up the books, taking them one by one, only to notice that the Alice in Wonderland twins came along for assistance and soon, Azumi had wiggled her way out of her guardian's arms and dragged her brother to the chore. Lessieal When the guy who helped her seemed to vanish she gave a questioning look. Why would he want to take off? It was her stupidity that had everyone gawking, he was the hero or kind soul who helped. It was when the other guy started to talk that she could feel her right eyebrow twitch some. Perhaps the one rushing to leave had the right idea after all. “Nice to meet you, I think I’ll go check and try to help the one looking for school books. Ink you have those right? I promise I’ll clean this up, I’m so sorry. Just leave them there for now and I’ll get back to them. Trust me.” She felt more than horrible; she could see the annoyance in the normally calm man’s face. She gave a weak smile to Raku as in saying thanks but afraid to say it out loud or she may end up looking worse off for her mistake.
As easy as that she exited stage left, or was it right following the one who helped her. “Hey, wait please, are you alright?” He must have been the type nervous in crowds. Poor guy most likely just wanted his books so he could go back into hiding maybe. Glancing back she couldn’t help wince realizing someone else was hit by her mistake. Was she getting so out of it she didn’t even notice the basics anymore? L~Chan He heard Ink ask him what he was looking for, but he didn't want to answer back now that he was already running off, that would have looked foolish. Felix could find them himself, he decided. Just when he thought he was going to be left alone he heard the girl, the one who had fallen over to be more precise, calling after him and even starting to following him. "For crying out loud." he groaned to himself, quickening his pace, "No, no. It's alright miss! I just want to get in and get out of here!" he told her as politely as he could. Kunimai Sitting upright, Mariette let the remaining books slide off of her as she acknowledged the girl that had helped her with a slight smile and a nod. Brushing off her shoulders, she attempted to stand, but felt a little wobbly. She should have cursed the soul that had knoced her down, but she wasn't even sure who it was. There were so many people here now, and she was still tired.
"Umm, thank you for helping me ma'am. May I ask your name...?" Erina_Nobara "Oh, my name is Eri Nobara. But you can call me Eri," she replied. "What's your name?" Before the kitsumimi knew it, the crowd was growing larger. Two other men had appeared, and a group of children who had begun cleaning up the mess. The blue-haired girl was now leaving too though? She must have gone after the boy who was looking for school books. She silently hoped she hadn't scared him off by her rather strange appearance. Oooor not. He seemed rather hostile when he shouted. Her ears folded back in a defensive manner. "...."
When the man with pink fingernails spoke to her, and the other girl her jaw nearly dropped in surprise. "Say what? *cough* I mean excuse me? Er..." she wasn't really sure how to reply to that one. Instead she shook her head, and focused on the situation at hand. Out of kindness, she offered her assistance to clean up the books as well. She spoke as she grabbed a few books. "I just came looking to take a break from house work. A library seemed to be the perfect place." x i I N K Rakuto snorted as he watched the man leave in a hurry towards an unknown section with a woman chasing after him. He didn't know the man but he heard of the woman. "You do realize that there are more than ten floors in this building, with over a hundred rooms, if you don't have help finding your way around, you could get very, very lost." he said, his voice calling after the man. He wasn't sure if the man had heard him or even cared to listen to him but he shrugged it off and went to pick up the books, Ink silently thanking him and his children as the went to work.
"Will he die in here?" Ryuu asked his guardian who gave a short laugh as he cocked an eyebrow at him.
The tengu shook his head "Of course not. At least, I don't think so. If he gets lost, he could. What kind of question are asking? For such a young boy..."
"Just curious." the two of them chimed. Clearly, they both wanted to know.
Rakuto licked his lips, letting his tongue slip over the ring on it. It was a silly experimentation, piercings. He had been curious and had found them rather amusing and it had resulted in him getting many. He mostly found it funny how the old order Karasu tengu thought he was being foolish and the scolded him and the master of the clan for getting them. Not that it mattered, really, it was like getting tattoos and even some of the old orders had those. Lessieal Lessieal stopped at once hearing the first no. For crying out loud . . . today just didn’t seem to be her day; so she did the next best thing she could think of, try to make up for her mistake. Heading back to the group she couldn’t help stop to watch it from the side line. Too many people, too active, she used to know parties and events. It was hard when there was so many though, everyone buying for attention. Instead she decided to fade to the back drop and watch. If it looked like they needed any help she would join then.
Mortals, always in a rush, always worried about little things. She had almost all the time in the world. The mess didn’t look that big when she thought of it that way, and she managed a small smile over it all. She reminded herself to apologize to Ink again later once everything died down.
Lessieal’s attention was mostly on the children though, innocents with the will to learn. She couldn’t help but stifle a giggle when one asked about death. Everything died in time, but only a child or one not afraid of others could be so bold with their curiosity. The young ones were allowed to be curious; it was when you got older that it was considered a bad habit.L~Chan Felix slowed down when he couldn't hear the girl behind him anymore, he turned around to make sure and as he thought, she gave up. He scratched his head "Wow, that was easy... they're usually more persistent." he had to admit, it kind of hurt... The man started to walk slowly now down the aisle, taking in all the books on the shelves he was passing, he hadn't heard the warning about the place being big, and that would definitely become a problem later, but for now he was happily alone to look for what he wanted. Suddenly being in a hurry wasn't on his mind anymore. Kunimai "My name is Mariette." she spoke in a childish voice with a small hint of being spoiled.
"You look weird. Where are you from? What's wrong with your ears?" Reaching out without thinking, she began to fluff the fuzzy ears. By habit, she cocked her head to the side and pursed her lips as she studied the funny person. Erina_Nobara Eri wrinkled her nose, but laughed. "It's nice to meet you Mariette" she purred, when the girl began to massage her ear. "I'm uh...a fox spirit." Her tail wagged with happiness. Her ears were her weakness. She blushed a little in embarrassment. Hopefully Mariette didn't ask about the bar code on her arm though-that was all in the past anyway. "Actually," she began, watching the others. Two sets of twins; what were the chances, one of which had asked if someone might get lost and die in a library. Eri giggled. How preposterous That was impossible....wasn't it? Children were a real mystery though, she absolutely loved them-part of the reason she wrote, and drew manga. "May I ask all your names? So I know how to address you..." She picked up a book, and looked at the call number on it and placed it in its proper place on the shelf. x i I N K "No... you're not supposed to makes a mess with these Azu..." Raku said to Azumi who seemed very engaged in conversation with her guardian before looking over at the woman who asked the question. She paused for a minute, as if pondering whether or not to answer the question but in the end she replied in an animated voice "I'm Azumi! But everyone just calls me Azu."
"...Ryuunosuke." Ryuu said after much hesitation and in a very quiet voice, as if hoping the woman hadn't heard him.
"And papa's name is Rakuchi!" Azu continued, gesturing dramatically towards the frowning dark-haired man who was still picking up books.
He looked over at her and rolled his eyes, sighing before standing up and placing books in piles to the side "My name is Rakuto Chigusa." he corrected before heading over and swiftly sweeping up Azumi, flicking her lightly on the forehead "Not Rakuchi." He finished, as he placed the girl on his back. The girl laid on his back and puckered her lips in defiance.
"Rakuchi is cuter."
"No, it's not."
"... I agree with Azu." Ryuu said quietly as he placed more books on top of Rakuto's pile.
"Ryuu agrees with me!" Azumi in an overly loud voice and the tengu frowned before maing his way over to the other child and sweeping him up as well.
"You little punks..." he muttered as he placed the second child on his back "Just ganging up on me. You gotta take it easy on an old man."
"I'm Azrael Farius Reckahyt Ink." the white haired man said with a smile, as his chuckling due to the trio's exchange began to diminish into soft laughter "But everyone calls me Ink. I'm the Librarian here." Lessieal Lessieal’s smile stayed strong at the bravery of the red head with what looked to be and announced herself as a kitsune. Leaning back she almost forgot she was part of the scene or group, watching as everyone else gave their names in away. Laughing softly at the family, it was like watching a happy show or play of sorts. Looking surprised if there was a pause for hers, quickly straighten herself to answer. “Lessieal.” Was this some sort of new pow wow? Her eyes roamed to Ink as if questioning what she may have got herself into. She liked the quietness, where she didn’t have to worry about other noticing her weaker sides at times.

P 289-291 L~Chan "Excuse me." The deadpan, absolutely unamused tone of voice seemed to hiss as the familiar face peeked from behind the bookcase he had previously retreated behind. Felix didn't look happy, but for a good reason. He hadn't expected to turn around and run back to the group so quickly, and now he felt a little stupid. "I thought I could find them on my own, but it turns out I.... do need a small bit of help." the last part was muttered very quietly. "Y-you see, I'm on a very tight schedule right now and I just remembered I don't have time to get lost in here and I.." his voice seemed to fade as the urge to justify himself came up, he paused, "This place is huge." Erina_Nobara "Azumi, and..." Eri's ears flipped toward Ryuu so she could hear him better, "...Ryuunosuki," Eri repeated. She appeared to memorizing, so she could match a face with a name. "Long, but I like it," she said with a smiled. "And I have to agree with these kids, I think I like Ryuchi," she added with a grin. "And wow....just wow...." Another long name. "I think I'll call you Ink-san then." She turned to the blue-haired girl from before. "Lessieal. That' s a pretty name too." Good, she thought she had everyone down now. Or so she thought. There was the other set of twins who hadn't answered. And then the boy from earlier reappeared. Ah, so he admitted he needed help. Now he seemed rather shy. How confusing. Oh, so he was in a rush. Well that made sense then. Eri waved at him. "You've returned. Hi there." x i I N K "No, no, no." Azumi chided as he tsked, waving her finger at the woman "It's not Ryuchi, it's Rakuchi."
"And it's not Rakuchi, it's Rakuto Chigusa." The tengu replied. How was it that a man who used to have so much pwoer got put down so easily by bunch of kids. This was one of the few reasons he never got a wife and had children. Not to mention most women were scary, at least the ones he had met. There were few that were a elegant as the ones of the days of old and that was the wife of the clan leader, who was inevitably human, but beautiful and elegant she was.
He glanced over at the returnee and smirked before resuming his cleaning missions as the two kids clung to his back.
Ink looked up towards the man and he smiled "It's not a problem. Lessieal said she wanted to assist you so... She knows her way quite well around here, she can help you." He said, gesturing over to the woman. He looked over at Lessieal and gave her a reassuring expression as if to say 'It's alright. Everything is fine.' Lessieal Lessieal glanced behind her some not expecting someone else to turn up, slightly surprised to see the guy who ran off was back. His words, had her try not to smile, but it couldn’t be help. That was the way of life, and in her eyes perhaps he got her because he needed to slow down for once. She was going to let Ink handle this one if he wanted, if not she may end up just roaming the isles with the stranger trying to teach him to slow down and enjoy life some. She was after all the angel of lesions; such little tricks ran in her blood. “I like it huge, the fact you can get lost in it easily. At times I think we all need to just get lost and relax.”
When Eri flattered Lessieal’s name she got a cute look of surprise them a slight blush. She got words like interesting and unique, not many had called her name pretty. “Thank you.” Her words were just loud enough to hear but soft enough to keep it polite.
When Ink gave her a job she smiled, but semi kicked herself. She was now torn between doing what she felt need to be taught and what the owner wanted her to do. So she did a bit of both, leading Felix around for a short while first. Compromise was the key for all things to work out after all. “What is so important that you wish to feel this wonderful place so quickly?”L~Chan He sighed, an air of impatience emanating around him as he followed Lessieal. He kept quiet and took to looking at the floor until the woman spoke up, making him look over at her feet and blink. Felix smiled the same fake smile he was used to giving in 'social' situations, "I just have a lot I need to do, this was the last thing on my list before I had to go home." His list, he just remembered; in a hurry he dug into his pocket to retrieve it only to remember then that he'd dropped it at the entrance, he frowned and just left his hand in his pocket, deciding it wasn't that big of a deal though it still made him made. "I need to make sure I get home in time so I can study, I don't want to have to cut too much into my night... I do like to sleep." he grumbled the last part, hinting slightly that he might not get it enough as he wanted, "... Thanks for your help." Erina_Nobara "Oh, R-Rakuchi," Eri stammered. "Sorry. it's just...so many new faces, eheh." She cursed herself in the back of her mind as her face turned a deep red. As Lessieal was sort of instructed to show Felix around, Eri silently wondered if she should go with them or stay behind. Either way, she wanted to explore. But if this place was so huge, she didn't want to get lost. But she wasn't looking for anything in particular. She hoped that something would simply catch her interest eventually. Plus, she was liking the atmosphere here. If it weren't for the blunder with the name, she would have been having a great day. But by the time she had decided to follow Less, and the other boy she was already being left behind. Oh well. She liked kids better than cranky folk. Lessieal Lessieal stopped when she head his words, her eyes looking upon him if he met them or not. “So you’re wasting your life.” It was as simple as that, she would continue on bringing him into a section that had to be all about school. Boring stuff for the most part, never written with love or a touch of style, they were usually written by people who didn’t live life like the one she was helping. “Any clue which books you were hoping for?” She was honest and forward in her own way now, if he questioned her lines she would explain it to him straight. If he wanted to go on in peace it was best to be silent and only give the basics. “What are you studying so hard to be?”L~Chan Felix looked over all the books in the section, not really holding to what Lessieal had said and actually finding it a foolish remark, if a person was passionate about something wouldn't they spend their life doing it? Who cared about the consequences, but he wouldn't argue with a lady. "I want to become a teacher." the man smiled slightly, one more meaningful than what he'd been giving everyone today, "I don't know of what yet, history would be nice though..." He pulled at one book until it popped from its place on the shelf, puffing dust as it came out. He thumbed through it for a minute and put it away, sighing. "A history book is actually what I came in for, could you find something about that? Doesn't matter what time period..." Felix said softly. Lessieal He actually seemed to throw Lessieal off guard when he told her what he wanted to be. “I am a teacher in ways.” Her words were such a whisper she wasn’t surprised if he didn’t hear them, in fact she deeply hoped he didn’t. Snapping out of her thoughts she started to glance around before asking without thinking. “Which world?” Her roaming had taught her that this place was an archive of sorts, if she gave him a history book of another world it would be useless to is profession. Since he wasn’t one for small talk she decided to let him go about working for a dream so hard he missed the importance of it. “Learning should be fun.” She couldn’t help herself, she knew he didn’t care what she said but they seemed important facts that should be pointed out.

P 292-293 L~Chan Felix's expression dropped in the way one would if they just heard something crazy when he heard her ask 'What world.', and that was understandable. He slowly glanced over at her and pushed his bangs out of his eyes, staring at her with hard eyes and a raised eyebrows, "I... was kind of hoping for, you know, something about Earth?" He... did make it clear he was studying history, right? Not asking for a fantasy novel about some distant world? Felix shook his head at her and figured it was just some sort of crazy slip. "Also, I'm aware of that. I find learning to be very fun..." the man added quietly, picking at another book in front of him. Lessieal With the look he gave her Lessieal couldn’t help smile her beautiful smile. He was new to this place after all, she should have know when he got lost. “Alright teacher.” She glanced around smiling before motioning him to follow. “You may not believe me but this place is the most magical place you’ve ever been in. It combines all that is, everything written and puts it all here. Ink is a lucky man in many ways.” She knew he thought she was off the deep end now but that only made her smile more, maybe this was just the chance she needed to blow his mind and make him realize there was more to the world than mere studies. She would lead him to a section with a few random globes, she was adjusting to the library and hoping it liked her. “Pick one, I’m sure you will find the right one. It’s something only you can know, maybe the owner. I don’t, I just explore here.” L~Chan "All libraries are like that." he huffed, thinking her words were just colorful language to describe the wonders of the over sized place. "Not that that isn't wonderful, I just don't think I would describe it in such a... glamorized way, unless you're talking to children..." Felix looked over the books in the new section and picked out a few that looked interesting, taking his time to thumb through them to make sure they contained what he was vaguely looking for. Finding the new silence to be uncomfortable he tried to think of something to talk about, before the woman could chime in with something that might potentially send him for another loop. "So... you're the librarian's assistant? A student? Or do you just come here as something to do on your days off of... whatever it is you do." he asked emptily as he started flipping through a new book. Lessieal This was too good, the man was just too set in his blind ways and Lessieal felt like a kid below a piñata. Listening and watching him, almost glad he seemed less closed off for some reason. “Librarian’s assistant, I guess I should offer him my services if I do stay here long enough. I’m also flattered you think I look young enough to be a student. You could call this more of a vacation for me.” Her violet eyes twinkled and she leaned in close to whisper to him the big secret not even Ink knew yet. “I’m Lessieal, the angel of lesions, and you are?” L~Chan The angel of... Had he heard right? Maybe he just didn't get what she meant, it was probably some sort of nickname. Felix glanced over at her, making a displeased expression at how close she was to him, though he tried to make it seem unnoticeable, she was a lady after all, no need to be rude. "Felix Baudouin, part-time tutor..?" he took a step to the side and focused back on the book he had in his hands, flipping the old pages slower and taking more time to read them. "I... just assumed you might have been a student in college around here, I've seen some of you running around lately, looking so absurd." he shook his head, "Spouting off nonsense too, but that's my own opinion, no offense meant." the fake smile returned to reassure her, probably. Not that she needed it. Lessieal Lessieal merely smiled, she noticed, knew he cared nothing about her, it made her job oh so much easier. “Yes, no offense meant at all.” She moved to turn to her side in case he wanted a better look. “Let me guess, you’re too wrapped up in science to believe without proof? You came across a Kitsune, and you ignored the fact she had ears and a tail, a demon of sorts and ignored the odd feelings he gave.” Her eyes twinkled and in a sudden sound like a large bird spreading their wings hers would appear clearly. “I guess you don’t see the truth to me either. It’s so easy thinking the path you are on is correct, that closing yourself off from others is so much easier. Keeping a guard and distant afraid of the pain . . .” She stopped, her wings folding behind her back, this speech. One she gave hundred of times before she had found and lost her family. It was one that once she listened to it hit home in ways as well. “The pain is worth discovering pleasure once. Just remember that, when you’re done I’ll try to help you find your door home.” L~Chan Felix laughed, it was short but it was loud, one solid audible laugh that almost echoed in the large building, had it been loud enough. He tucked the book he'd been looking at under his arm and started anew in the next. "I'm not blind." he started, speaking in the soft tone he was accustom to, "I noticed all of those things, and I don't doubt their existence either." he paused shortly, "True, I didn't want to take to heart that whole angel thing you were talking about, but I think this was enough to confirm that. I know fairly well what sorts of things the world has to hide, I just... don't care to give unnecessary attention to it." He snapped the book shut and held it under his arm with the other, turning to look at the woman with a dull, unsurprised expression, "But I'm not the kind to go spouting off things like that, people just don't have time for it these days. No one cares to hear what I know, just children." There was a pause, an awkward silence that was completely unintentional, Felix was really trying to organize his thoughts and make sure everything he had said was enough. After a moment he smiled politely at her, "I think I've found what I'm looking for, ma'am, I don't want to have too much to read tonight, as I've said I'm a busy man." Lessieal Lessieal merely nodded, actually impressed, she had grown rusty after raising a family. Her old job wasn’t as easy as it used too, maybe letting it go was best. Lesions usually didn’t stick in the world anymore. A vanishing of her wings and she motioned him forward. “Many doors open to this place, many worlds, more than even I could think possible.” She sighed trying to bring him to where she first saw him, hoping the exit would be there. “No one cares, or they just don’t wish to believe. Children, I don’t know what it is, but . . . my son never really grew up, even as an adult he was a child. I thought for a while it was a bad thing. It’s not accepted, you get mocked and destroyed. He didn’t, he’s probably still out there playing make believe, or patty cake, or who knows guessing what type of underwear someone is wearing.” There was more to it of course the underwear comment but she just ranted the first few things that came to her head. Stopping about where she first saw Felix she gave a weak smile and leaned to the side. “I guess what I’m saying is, when people hide that nature too much, or lose it . . . when they don’t give themselves the time to really live. It saddens me, especially when I know how short a mortal life really can be.”L~Chan "People are going to live their life how they live it, not much anyone can do about that. As long as they're living a life they think is fulfilling, who's room is it to interfere?" he took a deep breath, feeling extremely exhausted suddenly. "But, that's my opinion. People are people and all of that nonsense." escaped with the air he'd inhaled. He eyed the door and thought about what she said, part of him guessed if he came out in the wrong location that would be something he would have to worry about later, but the other part of him doubted it and knew when he left he'd be at the same spot and hopefully his things would still be where he dropped them. Of all the things to doubt today, it was what the library was capable of. Today had been a much longer day than he hoped for. Felix turned to Lessieal quickly, "Is there anywhere specifically I should check these out, before I just leave?" he asked before forgetting, holding the two large books up in his arms. Lessieal Lessieal smiled listening to his words. “Oddly enough I was made to be the angel of lesions, and here I think I am learning more lesions than even I can teach.” She was being honest with him, knowing that his life if it was meant probably would have a bombardment of sorts. She glanced down to the books trying to get the titles before looking up and shaken her head. “Ink told me, everyone comes here for a reason, the library knows and decides. I think it has a way of keeping track in it’s own manner. Sides you do plan to bring them back don’t you?” As long as they come back home I think you’ll be fine.” At that she would hold out her hand politely. "It was a pleasure meeting you Felix, more of one than I would have expected." L~Chan "So long as that is, I guess..." he muttered to himself, looking down at the books at thinking for a moment. "I'll return them, always do..." Felix glanced up at Lessieal after a minute and smiled, "Thank you for your assistance, ma'am. It was nice meeting you."
Deciding that was all he had left to say, and probably all that the woman had left to say as well, he turned to the door and hesitantly opened it, eyes shut and unsure what to expect when he left. He took a few steps, shut the door behind him and opened them. "You're an idiot." he said to himself, standing in the same location he had been before he entered, "It's just a library, not a portal to the dark world. Getting all worked up..." his voice trailed off. Felix picked up the bags that were luckily still where they were dropped and put the books away in them, going back down the street in a hurry.
