Okay, now, as for the first contest, we've decided to do a naming contest. Basically, you will pick out a name that you think suits the egg, give us the meaning of the name, and why you think it suits the egg, and then Bunny and I will pick out which one we think suits the egg the best.
The Lovely Egg (The Youngest Daughter):

The Second Contest:
Now, as for the second contest, we've decided to do an RP contest. Basically, Bunny and I have come up with a few prompts that you're going to write a response to by RPing the egg, you'll choose which prompt you want to answer, as well as give the egg a name, and then Bunny and I will pick out which story we like for the egg.
The Lovely Egg (The Second Oldest Daughter):

The Prompts:
1. Your parents have always been good to you. They've provided you with everything that you've ever wanted and supported you in everything you've ever done, but now you want to do something that your parents don't approve of. What is it, and what have you decided to do about it?
2. You've never really strayed that far away from home, so, one day, you decide to wander around a little. After awhile, you realize you've gone way too far away from home, and you're lost. What do you do? Do you find your way home? Do you meet anyone along your way?
The Form: Username: (Your username goes here.) Egg's Name: (Name you've chosen for egg.) Meaning of the Name: (What the name you've chosen means.) Prompt Number: (The number of the prompt you've chosen.) Prompt Response: (Put your response here.)

Username: Sweet Sweet Dreams Egg's Name: Ghira Meaning of the Name: Doesn't have an official meaning I think...is derived from Ghirardelli Why you chose that Name: Because when I used to have chocolate, Ghirardelli brand chocolate was very tasty whenever I had it. And the way she looks with the wiggly lines, and her being different shades of brown, made me think of chocolate.

Username: Scaramouche Fandango Egg's Name: Sophia Meaning of the Name: Wisdom Why you chose that Name: Elliot's name means 'My God is the Lord,' and Maggie's name means 'Pearl.' I wanted to chose a name that sounded somewhat biblical and could relate to pearls somehow. Now, in the book of Job, it is said that wisdom is more precious than pearls, and there's the old idea of a pearl of wisdom, and Sophia is a Greek name that means wisdom. It's long been thought that naming a baby after a virtue would ensure that virtue in the child's life; it's like a wish for wisdom for the egg. Plus, it's a pretty name!

Username: Saint-Cinq Egg's Name: Praline Meaning of the Name: A praline is a gourmet French candy made with a chocolate shell on the outside and a creamy filling on the inside. Usually, this filling is a type of nut paste, typically from almonds, though there are many variations. Why you chose that Name: I wanted to choose something that incorporated the names of both parents, but also described their daughter well. Since the egg appears to have chocolate with swirls on it, I really wanted to use the name of a delicious candy, because at first sight, that was what it reminded me of. Praline sounds elegant as a name and, as it is a combination of two delicious foods, it feels like anyone named after it would be sweet as well.
I specifically chose Praline for this egg because, like her father, the egg is covered in chocolate. However, this egg is a girl and takes after her mother's swirls. Colorwise, Maggie is a creamy-peach, which is very close to what the filling of a praline looks like. So, the egg is like her father and chocolate on the outside, but, on the inside, she's a lot like her mother, too.

Username: Sphinx_Child Egg's Name: Malinalxochitl Meaning of the Name: It's a name from the Nahuatl, which means "grass flower" Why you chose that Name: I looked at the egg, and she's the youngest, and she's the only one with her father's colouration. Under the water, she would be more subtle, harder to see in the shadows, unlike her siblings who would all stand out. I got a sense of her as being quiet, and sweet, and possibly overlooked by many in the kelp fields, but that her quiet friendliness and her care for those younger than her would earn her friends and some admiration from others. Grass flowers aren't showy or attention grabbing, but they're delicate and sweet, and beautiful.

Username: Annchen Egg's Name: Cru Meaning of the Name: The colour made me think of chocolate, and the really good stuff is called "grand cru". Why you chose that Name: I wanted something chocolate related, but not obviously chocolate related if that makes sense.

Username: DownSight Egg's Name: Godiva Meaning of the Name: It's a brand of chocolate, and it also means God's Gift, which is of course what all parents think of their children. So it would make sense for the parents to name their child this as well, aside from the obvious chocolate connection that so many people use. Why you chose that Name: Aside from the two meanings of the name, I also thought about the personality of the egg once it grows. How would an egg with the name Godiva grow up? What would she act like, think like? So it got me thinking . . . First, there are two obvious words that peer up at you from the name Godiva; the words 'God' and 'Diva'. So this little girl would grow up being the 'little princess' of the family, of course getting away with much more than her other siblings. Thanks to this, Godiva grew up use to getting her way and developes confidence, a large ego, and a slight god-complex. Like the chocolate 'Godiva', Godiva likes to think of herself as rich, sweet, and expensive. Cherishing the more expensive things in life, Godiva has a high value of money. And on top of that, dare I say it, she's a bit vain? While some may look at this growing girl in disapproval, if you take the time to dig past the shallow shell of Godivas being, you will find a young girl who can make you feel as if you've fallen in love. And while she may seem she has only an interest for the richer things in life, her smooth and silky personality can charm nearly anyone. Give Godiva a taste before tossing her carelessly aside.

I'm so sorry that we've taken so long in closing the contest and choosing a winner, but we FINALLY have! =) Now, since we didn't get any entries for the RP contest, we've decided to have a runner-up who will win the pink egg. And, so, without further ado, your winners:
The Runner Up, winner of the pink egg is.... *drum roll*
DownSight with "Godiva!"
And, now! What you've all been waiting for...
The Winner is.... *another drum roll*
Saint-Cinq with "Praline!"
Bunny and I just absolutely fell in love with Saint's name for the little egg. We thought her entry was extremely well thought out and different. We'd like to thank all of you for coming out and entering in our contest. We thoroughly enjoyed looking at all of your entries and picking winners. Thanks again!
