Soft grass stands by the river underneath an overpass. Usual hangout for teens and delinquents. Trees are sporadically placed along the river front. ((Prolly going to be edited later lol))

Time: 8:07 AM. Three kids are throwing a baseball around near the recently re-built suspension bridge. They should be in school. One of them misses a catch, and the ball rolls into some tall grass. Shortly after losing sight of the ball, there's a soft "clunk."
"Go get it."
...
"You go get it." "No, you missed the catch. You go get the ball." "No way! It was a sucky-a** throw! And besides, that clunk? What the hell was that?!" "If neither of you are going to be man enough to go get that ball, then I'll go get it." "Fine by me, go ahead and get killed by some old space pirate mine." "Yeah, or some giant robot."
Some rustling nearby.
"It's probably just part of the old suspension bridge...WOAH!"
The kid had stepped on J03. In a matter of seconds, the kid was dangling with his foot firmly in J03's enclosed hand. In J03's other hand was the ball.
Joe's monitor glowed faintly, then the word "School" appeared briefly followed by the word "Now."
The kids nearly pissed themselves out of fear.

Time: 8:46am
Blue sat by the river front under the overpass, staring out at it as if she was waiting for something to happen. She managed to pick three pockets that morning on her way to the river front, managing to rake in over $200 in cash. As for the wallets and any other unwanted items, she tossed them into the river and watched them float away. She felt slightly bad for what she had done, but not bad enough to wish she hadn't done it.
She let out a sigh as she laid back on the grass, propped up on her elbows, chewing on a toothpick, waiting patiently for something, anything to happen. She looked at her watch, it was 8:50. "Aah well, I never intended on going to school anyway..." she thought to herself. She got off her elbows and laid flat on her back and stared at the clouds in the blue sky, despite the fact that with her rose-colored sunglasses, everything was, rose-colored.
