The Year is 2466, and a horrible affliction has swept over the world. Humans are being born...with terrible...mutations. Powers, bodily modifications. Things that are strange. That set them apart from normal Humans. One moment, you could be holding your baby boy, and the next thing you know, he could slip through your arms, through the bed, through the floor. He would fall through several floors and end up on the first floor of the hospital even though you were on the seventh. Or maybe your baby girl would burst into flames. Many things could and can happen. All because of one mutated gene. The government got a hold of one mutant some time back, before it became widespread. They did horrible things, experimented on him, tried to make him a weapon that could destroy anything in it's path. And they suceeded.
But every good plan, turns out to be a bad one.
The mutant went against them, blew up their experimentation facility and everyone in it. No one knows where he is. But the rumour is that they gave him so many enhanced powers that he could end up being one of the most powerful mutants in the world. No one knows who's side he's on exactly, he hasn't shown up and done anything in quite some time. And eventually...he dissappeared from people's thoughts. Just a distant and faded memory of a possible threat.
Mutants today are being sent by their parents to an Island, with a large facility that aids the young mutants in learning control over their powers, and prepares them for any possible attack by the human government. Or by any other mutants.

I've been here for: Unknown, looks to be in his twenties, though some of his posiessions seem to have come from much further back than they should be from.

How I roll: Bisexual
In My Veins: Pyrokinesis
My quirks: Very calm and aloof, though sometimes unpredictable. Jack is very kind to those he knows and cares for, but to those who harass and otrment him or those he cares about, they'd better watch out, or they could suffer from serious burns.

My Story: Not much is known about Jack except that he showed up one day, wanting to help. So he started to teach ability control to those who had the mutated gene that allowed them psychic abilites. He's a good teacher, as his calm attitude allows him very good control over his emotions, thus good control over his pyrokinesis, which is a mental ability.

My quirks: [Amelia is a bit random. She loves to joke and tease, and takes most things lightly. People who know her but aren't extremely close to her would call her 'laid back', or 'easy going'. Although her closest friends and family would know that she isn't quite that. She angers easily and has a short fuze. Amelia is blunt and stands by her beliefs. Although, a very good trait about her is that she is very open-minded and willing to try anything once... or twice.]

My Story: [Amelia was born in Sydney, Australia. Her mother and father however were from Bucharest, Romania but had moved to Australia four years prior to having Amelia. Her parents had no history of having powers that they knew of, and for the most part were shocked that their daughter had acquired this trait. Amelia was born with light Telekinesis powers.
What her parents didn't know, however, was that every day when her parents would drop her off at the stop sign for her bus to pick her up to take her to school since she was five years of age, someone else had picked her up instead. Her very first day of school this happened to her, so she thought it was the same as school. Amelia thought nothing odd of this. A man named Cleaver was who picked up Amelia every day and took her to his laboratory out in the country to 'work' on her. She respected him, and he treated her well. His co-workers, however, didn't like that he was the only one who got to work on her. They treated her badly and abused her in horrible ways. It was their fault that Amelia became the way she was, for they decided to splice her DNA with random animal DNA.
Amelia woke up in agonizing pain and ran from the lab, promising she'd never ever go back there. She told her parents what was wrong, showed them she could change, and her parents and the government shut down the lab. No more experiments were made in Australia by those scientists.
Her parents dealt with Amelia's new powers, but told her to keep them secret. They eventually sent her to the island to help her control them better, for she was known to change into an animal when angered or provoked.]

My Story: My parents sent me to the island in middle school because they didn't want other students to realize I was a freak. Back then I couldn't help myself, when I ran I ran, as fast as I could, which I learned wasn't normal. With speeds so high one can barely see me, and they think I teleport. I have learned alot at the island and can now control myself, though I still take courses but also help others. My twin brother Tsuzuki goes here as well.

My Story: [Elina was born in Kiev, Ukraine in a time of extreme poverty. When her parents discovered she had the ability to create matter they began using her powers to create money, but were swiftly arrested and put in federal prison for counterfeiting. Fearing her powers, the Ukrainian government sent her to the island when she was seven and she's been here ever since. ]

My Story: Krad's mutations only showed when he was ten, though he'd had them since he was born. He'd been caught photosynthesizing in the family's garden, his feet planted firmly like tree roots. His family has Scandinavian roots, and are descendants of the vikings.
They live in America since he was 2 and when his parents saw him acting very 'plantlike', they decided to send him to the 'island'. He was supposed to have a twin sister, but she was stillborn, and he has conversations in his head with her(he says its her.. most people think he's just got multiple personality disorder).
Did I miss anything?: Had a twin sister(stillborn) and believes she lives inside him, with a conflicting ability(pyrokinesis)... has yet to confirm it with actual pyrokinesis display. And his 'sister' has never taken over for even a second, so no one knows if he seriously even has another personality.

My Story: My parents, also Rin's, sent us here in Middle School, for our protection. They didn't want people to see that we were freaks, so, we've been here on the island ever since. Me and my sister's abilities are often said to be the same, in other's eyes, but they're not. She cannot slow time like I can, she may go super fast and everything looks slow to her, but in fact she is not slowing people down. I, can single out a person, if I wanted, and slow their time down so that even people without my ability can see them moving in slow motion. Though the person being slowed wouldn't notice, but would see anyone else's movements as being really fast. So, don't get it mixed up.

Feel nothing but calm, do not fear, do not stress, do not feel anything else but calm." Jack said, talking to all the kids in his class. Some were levitating, others were just lying down on the ground, or sitting up, eyes closed, listening to Jack. "Keep it all bottled up inside..." Jack said, even though psychologists would tell you it wasn't healthy, that you needed to show emotion, Jack knew that if these kids did that all the time, that so much destruction would be caused. . neutral And scatter the sky with my blazing heart.|:.

Elina took a deep breath as she listened to Jack's instructions. She sat cross legged on the ground but soon she was levitating several feet in the air. In her mind she was walking through a long hallway, each door representing a part of herself that she had to keep locked away in order to be in full control of her powers. The last time she lost control they had to rebuild a whole wing of the facility, but that was five years ago, she'd learned to control herself since then.

Amelia sighed, sitting up from her mess of sheets that she called a bed. She rubbed her yellow-green eyes with the backs of her hands, stretching and shaking her head. She swung her legs over the side and her gaze shifted to the clock.
Amelia gasped, her eyes wide as she flew off the side of the bed. She ran to the bathroom and brushed her teeth and hair, putting on makeup quickly. She was twenty minutes late for class. Amelia ran to her drawers and pulled out a pair of faded blue cut off shorts with holes in them. She picked out a band tee shirt and slipped that over her body. She pulled on all her bracelets and all of her necklaces and rings. She scrunched her hair and adjusted the nose ring in her left nostril. Amelia smiled at herself in the mirror and slipped her bag over her shoulder, padding barefoot out the dorm and sprinting towards the classroom.
Ami bit her bottom lip and slipped through the door, her body curving around the wall and hugging it as she inched her way quickly along it. She knew she'd probably be caught, but she figured Jack probably wouldn't say anything because he was teaching the students. Amelia smiled and set her bag down against the wall, plopping down on her butt in the back of the class near Elina. She closed her eyes and listened to his words, hoping she hadn't disturbed too many people. Normally, she wouldn't care if she disturbed anyone, but during these sessions that kind of thing could be dangerous.

Again. Not only that...Jack sniffed the air, looking to a corner of the room. The potted tree was on fire. "Aah! Ugh...Kids, stay calm, don't pay attention to that smell, it'll be taken care of." Jack said, going over to the tree and sucking the fire into his palm. He sighed. That was the third tree this month. . neutral And scatter the sky with my blazing heart.|:.

Elina opened one eye as Amelia slipped into the room. Focusing on the girl she tapped into her mind, figuring telekinesis was a much safer way of talking to each other in a situation where making any sudden noises could kill you. "You really should buy an alarm clock." she said, and even telepathically her accent was still thick with Russian. When the tree burst into flames Elina tried hard not to laugh. She enjoyed classes with Jack, there was just something about him that made him easy to like. She fidgeted a little, still floating in the air, and returned to her meditation.

Amelia kept her yellow green eyes on Jack as he glared at her. She made her face play a big happy and goofy grin for him just to cheer him up and let him know she was very sorry. She glanced sideways at Elina and grinned another time, biting her bottom lip. 'I have one. I just forget to set it sometimes...' she said, smiling and shaking her head. Amelia thought of Elina sort of like a little sister. They were nearly ten years apart, which is a big thing. But it's enough time to make it so that they really understand each other. That may not make much sense but you know how it is with a younger person or sibling who is about five years younger? Fights constantly. Now ten years, that's another story. They get along great.
Amelia turned her bright gaze over to the plant that was engulfed in flames, and she wasn't smiling anymore. Normally, something like this would have been extremely amusing to her. But not this time. This time it was her fault and she felt bad for ruining anything of Jack's. Amelia closed her eyes and thought to Elina, for she had telekinetic powers as well; although they were not near as strong. They were mainly for talking into someone's mind while she was an animal. 'Can I sit at your table at lunch today? 'Cause a few of my friends are kinda POed at me...' Ami's lips turned into a slight frown. She'd gotten mad and lunged at one of them as a jaguar, and they freaked out. She knew she wouldn't claw them. And they should have known her by now to know that.

Pulled out of his inner conversation with his 'twin' due to the cries of a tree, Krad's eyes snap open and he rushed to the tree and began cooing to it once Jack had removed the flames from it. He didn't know it, but he cried. His tears merely touched the tree and it began healing quickly. The boy was sensitive to all plant life, and so he heard the plant cheering at the relieving feel from his tears which somehow promoted rapid healing in the plant. If his power were to go lose, the whole area would become a forest, so he did his best to stop the power from leaking out too much. His green eyes were even more intensely green when his powers came out, and they'd nearly turn into completely green orbs if his power went wild. When the tree was all better and had returned to what it had done before bursting into flames for no aparent reason, he returned to his seat and resumed his inner conversation, oblivious to any stares he may be getting at the moment.

He couldn't lose focus. He might start a fire. He closed his silver eyes, concentrating on darkness, complete black. He calmed himself, thinking of nothing. But soon the thought of fire slipped into his conciousness, and he opened his eyes, looking up at the clock. Noon. "Oh...Time for lunch kids." he said, standing up and shoving his hands into his pockets. "See you tomorrow." he shrugged, opening the door and holding it for everyone to go. This wasn't like a real school or anything, so there was no schedule, but Jack only ran this "class" until Noon, when lunch was served on the institution. After Lunch, the kids could do whatever they wanted. So could Jack. He considered hitting the beach. He was starting to look a little pale. . neutral And scatter the sky with my blazing heart.|:.

Elina opened her eyes and sank back down to the floor as Jack announced that it was time for lunch. She turned to Amelia and shrugged. "That is alright with me, lunch has been quite boring lately." she said, getting up and stretching a bit. She looked over at Krad, who was still deep in meditation. Even though he'd been here for a couple of years she didn't really know him, though she'd heard he was crazy, talking to trees and a voice in his head. This wouldn't stop her from trying to be nice, though. She didn't want to believe he was crazy, believing instead that people were just assuming things that weren't true. "Krad, would you care to join us?"
