 The approaching evening found an irridescent spotted aviadracus lounging as the stars began to appear. She preferred the night like most of her kind and rested seeming content to stay there on her sun warmed boulder.
Miakoda had a great deal to think about and her thought were far from content. Life had grown more hectic at the cavern she shared with several other painters. Their number had grown almost past the amount that could comfortably be housed in the separate chambers within the main cavern. It didn't help that the sisters were still bickering constantly and that the newest arrival also preferred the dark seclusion of the deepest caves though she was active during the day.
"I think it may just be time to move," she sighed. Beside her on a rock all its own, her salamander looked up his purple fire flaring a bit showing his agreement.
Miakoda nodded and went back to her quiet contemplation of the stars. As it grew darker she blended with her surroundings until the rising moon shone its like on her spots making her gleam.

 A dark eye stared out from an out cropping just before the entrance to a cave. Silently it watched the stars sprinkle into the sky. It would no doubt be another night spent alone.
Softly a sigh left him as he spread his wings. A soar in the moonlight sounded nice right now. Jumping from the rocks into the air, the rusty colored male waited a moment before beating his wings to gain altitude. Once at a comfortable height he merely soared.
After soaring some ways away from his home, Saraph decided to take a little break. He slowly lowered himself toward the rocks below him as he looked for a place to land. In doing so he caught site of something gleaming on a boulder. Curious, he landed a few rocks away from the one he'd seen with the gleam.
It was then that he got a good enough look to notice that the gleaming something was another aviadracus.

A passing shadow alerted Miakoda of the approach of another dragon. At first she thought it might have been one of her friend's from Moongazer Cavern but when she looked up it was to the sight of feathered wings. When the male landed not too far away Miakoda rose and grinned.
"Good evening," she said in greeting. It had been some time since she'd seen one of her own and that this one was a handsome male only added to the pleasant surprise. She just hoped the encounter would remain pleasant. Her tail twitched showing the bit of tension present at meeting a stranger.

Saraph was slightly uncomfortable. This was his first time actually meeting another painter, even of his own kind. His nervousness was only added to the fact that the other was a pretty female.
"Good evening," he returned back with a slight bow of his head. He curled his wings back to his side as he looked at her. He wasn't sure what he should do next. His only hope was that she'd lead him in what to say so to speak.

'Koda streched her wings realizing just how long she'd just been sitting around. It wasn't as bad since the rock had been so warm. "Anything in particular bring you out this way, or just out for an evening flight?" she asked feeling in a conversational sort of mood. She looked up at the moon, yeah a flight sounded good too...

Saraph watched as she stretched her wings. "I was out for a flight and decided to take a moments rest before heading back," he replied to her easily. While he'd yet to meet anyone, his loneliness made him crave for conversation. He moved to stretch out as he still watched her. "If you don't mind, why are you here?" he asked hoping to not sound rude.

The spotted dragoness sighed. "I just needed some time away from my overcrowded home," she replied honestly. "And this nice warm rock was a lovely place for a nap."
Miakoda smiled as Mirae her salamander climbed up taking his usual spot between her wings. He flared a bit and stared curiously at Saraph.

"Overcrowded home?" he questioned. So she had a family then he thought to himself. The flaring of the little salamander drew his attention. He tilted his head at it's curious stare.

"Its rather a nice place a large cavern with several subcaves off the central space," she explained. "It started out with me and my friend Kaliska and others have moved in since. Most of the others are diurnal but I had a nice spot in the very back that was quiet enough for me to get my rest, now though its getting too crowded." Mia sighed. "The real trouble started when Kaliska's sister Una moved in. They never stop fighting..."
There was a reasurance to Mirae's pressence and Mia smiled again looking back at the salamander. "Oh this is my friend Mirae," then she realized somehting that had been forgotten and ducked her head in draconic blush. "I'm Miakoda by the way..."

He tried to hide the little sadness his eyes held at the thought of being crowded by near and dear ones like she discribed. How would that be like? To be surrounded by noise of fighting sisters, and the reassurance that there was always someone there? He shook his head to clear his thoughts.
At that moment her heard her introduce her little friend, and then herself. Chuckling he nodded his head back. "Good name for...him? And a lovely name for yourself." He cleared his own throat before introducing himself properly. "I am Saraph, quite the pleasure."

Mia ducked her head in a blush at his compliment, "Thank you. Its quite nice to meet you too Saraph," she replied. "So do you have a place around here of your own? You mentioned "heading back" after your flight?" she inquired, not wanting the pleasant company to leave too soon.

Saraph smiled slightly and nodded. "It's not too far back the way I came..." He trailed off wanting to add that it was empty. The male was rather enjoying having a companion for once and didn't really want to leave so soon.
