(i figured someone had to do it eventually)
so, i'm curious as to who in the FOJ plays WoW (world of warcraft) however i'm laying down some ground rules first.
1. NO FLAMING EACH OTHER FOR BEING THE OPPOSITE FACTION!! -CASTS ARMISTACE- (the buff at the argent tournament so each faction can't fight with each other) save it for the BGs....
so now that that's out of the way ...
please list 1. your class (main) 2. it's level 3. it's side 4. it's realm 5. how long you've played WoW 6. any other fun facts (i.e. being in the top guild of said realm, or being in a ranked world wide (us, eu, etc) guild)
from there feel free to ramble about wow related s**t, professions, reps, raids, alts, etc XD

1. your class (main) warlock, 2. it's level 80 3. it's side HORDE! 4. it's realm Staghelm 5. how long you've played WoW since December 04 6. any other fun facts i became exalted with all my home cities before the argent tournament ever came out....i farmed Runecloth so much i never want to see it again....so i was one of the first few horde to get the title "Ambassador" on my realm (non BELF, since BELF are lucky enough to have access to all starting zones, while the belf starting zone is ONLY accessable to BELFs)

I got poked, so I'm posting. xd CharactersGrishknaw - Level 72 Orc Shaman - The Scryers Server The original fantasy trailer trash, with her eight kids. rolleyes Grishlyn - Level 15 Orc Shaman - The Scryers Server Grishknaw's younger sister, now looking for her sibling to come back home and TAKE CARE of all them damn girls. This is the character I am currently putting effort into.Gorstavich - Level 34 Gnome Mage - Ravenholdt Server My effort on a PvP realm... when he isn't lusting after them smoking hot greenies!Other StuffI've been playing, on-and-off, since the original stress-test beta in late September 2004, and have enjoyed it for the most part. Can't play very often due to brutal work hours (late swing shift and always being on-call), and sometimes take a break when I get tired of solo'ing things (finding good groups at 2AM is a little hard) or when the roleplay bashing hits a high point. I think my only real point of pride right now is owning the Collector's Edition of every release of the game so far... well, that and coming up with good Orc names. Would totally recommend Rotten Luck for anyone wanting to experience roleplaying on the Horde side. I believe they have chapters on four different servers now, and are a lot of fun to play with. 3nodding

I lack this thing. I feel it is not healthy to play WoW. As does he who has become a legend to gamers, Yahtzee. >_>

TheBlackSword I lack this thing. I feel it is not healthy to play WoW. As does he who has become a legend to gamers, Yahtzee. >_> Anything can be unhealthy depending on how you do it. As I currently am lacking in the romance department I find it useful to spend my nights keeping my mind sharp with MMO's. Console games are nice, but they only have so long a life cycle til you are 100% three full game cycles later. I still play a few such as devil summoner 2 currently though. I still workout, have a good education, and other hobbies such as cooking, anime, and reading. Once I get set in a job I'm sure I'll start investing as well. There is always the other side of the coin, but I think a blanket "MMO's are unhealthy" is the same as people that say RPG's in general are unhealthy. There are a lot of people that play MMO's very casually, and enjoy them just for the story. People that like a good story should look into Aion. It's a very fascinating game. I'm sure if I had a good core of RL friends interested in RPG's I might be playing D&D instead. Who knows, if I was romantically involved with someone my nights would be booked solid and MMO's would be the last thing I would be concentrating on. Anyway my stats - Quote: 1. Warrior 2. Level 80 3 Alliance 4. Stormreaver 5. On and off for 2/3 years (I've also played over 10 other MMO's) 6. My guild is top 17 US and top 39 world. We're one of only 50 guilds in the US to have ironbound proto-drakes and I have one. We cleared all of Ulduar 25 hard modes in one night tonight except yogg (saving him in case we figure out how to do 0 lights). I'm also ranked for a number of fights on wowmeteronline.

O.O holy hell, if i could stand to level i'd hop over to your realm XD, ...but then i'd have to do all of my achievements all over again crying i know that my toon is probably nothing impressive to someone so far out of my reach (goal wise, etc) but....here's my toon. XD http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Staghelm&n=Mahouyami
i busted my a** for all of those achievements, and some of them i wouldn't be able to get again, (mainly the feats of strength)

If you aim for the top you can wind up spending a lot more time then you want on a game you don't really enjoy. I see it a lot where one guy plays WoW and his GF tries to play at the same level as him to play together, but falls horribly short. Though in those situations I blame the guy who should be putting WoW down to spend more time with his GF. What you have there isn't too shabby at all. A few more world events and you'll have a violet proto-drake ^_^ http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Stormreaver&n=Grondax is my character.

80 Paladin. Thorium Brotherhood. Alliance.
80 Mage. Balnazzar. Horde.
And a few other toons in the 60's and 70's that have been there for months and probably will be there for eternity. = I hardly ever touch the game these days unless a friend bugs me to get on for a raid or something.
Paladin has the chopper though. Made it.
I've been getting back into Warhammer though, the past week all my spare time has been going to building models and as of today painting.

I played WoW for a while end of last year. My main was a 78 lock on the Horde side. After a while, I was just trying to catch up with friends. As soon as they quit, I didn't have any interest in leveling her again. I do want to get back into it, because it was definitely fun. I'm thinking of moving realms when I do start up, and create a new character.
P.S. I've had Warhammer since last November, but I never bothered to open the package. How is that game?

I played a bit of the MMO. Wasn't all the impressed. It was fun, no doubt. But at the same time it kinda felt lacking, to me. But I've been playing the model game again. xD Just played a tournament on Saturday.

I'm thinking of moving realms when I do start up, and create a new character. Like all MMO's (I think) it's the friends and/or guild that really make the game fun. Without them... ya, not as interesting. If you should start up again, let me know, as I am fence sitting right now about reactivating my account. Also, might anyone have a recommendation for a RP-PvP server (either faction) that is supportive of actual roleplay attempts? My own little forays on Ravenholdt and The Venture Co. have only experienced severe roleplay bashing, or total elitist snobbery. It was quite disheartening. sad
