Ra morned the loss of hs family, his friends, everyone that he knew in his life. Being an outcast was not much of a life. As he made his way from the small valley that he had once called home, he had little idea of what he would do, how he would survive. As he crossed a river, a strange gleam of light shineing off something in the water caught his eye. Reaching in, he found it to be a perfectly polished gemstone. The color of the blue stone caught his fancy, so he kept it, watching the sunlight dane beneath it's surface as he continued his journey. A few hours passed, as his belly growled it's dismay at being empty, he was pulled back to where he was by the sound of music playing in the distance. Following his ears, he came around a bend in the road ahead to find a group of wagons curveing around an open clearing. As he neared, he found a variety of people, some where Mrem, others Avoral, there were even a few fenlings. What struck him the hardest wasn't the mix of people, but the fact that almost every single one was an outcast, touched by the myst as he was. He was curious and amazed by this, seeing those who others would shun danceing and froliking amongst each other. As he neared, an elderly Sha Avoral saw him shyly comeing towards them. "We have a visitor! Come, bring our guest into our circle." she commanded. She was like the patriarch of this misbegotten crew. Ra was escorted before her by a pure white Mrem, a spiraling horn sprouting from his forhead. Seeing the confusion and fear in Ra's eyes, the older Avoral calmly spoke. "We are the Tamberlain, the people of the land. We are a family amongst ourselves where others would not be. You are welcomed here my son." Ra could not belive it, he was being warmly greeted by these strangers. Is the day grew on into the evening hours, he was told that they were a gypsy people, traveling the lands, entertaining anywhere they stopped and that was how they made their way in the world. Showing a Liskash female the stone he had found, she showed him to her tent, she was a jewler and gemsmith. Under her watchful eye, he made his first peice of jewlery from that stone. With that, he was officialy adopted into the family. As the summer Solstice came nearer and nearer, he had a special piece in the makeings, a gift for "Mother Lynnell" as they all called the motherly figure who had first pulled him into the group. When the day finaly came, he placed the carefully wrapped gift in her grasp. As the wrappings fell away, she gasped as she saw the first glimps of the pendant within. "You have grown in skill amongst us, we are blessed with you amongst us." she said as she hugged him to her. Carefully, he stepped behind her to help her with the delicate chain, letting the necklace drape on her beautiful brown feathers. The sun that day glinted and shone across the delicately made pendant, gaining the praise of many threwout the day. The only thing that shone brighter, was her pride in her foster son and how well he had adapted to his new family.
