First off sorry if this is in the wrong forum
And i dont really see how it works out exactly arent you the only on who can go to your own city?

It's the correct forum, don't worry. You specifically aren't the only one who can enter the city. It's mainly replacing the gyroid function of selling items in the original game, but without the whole memory card swapping. Only players who live in your town can enter the auction house to buy and sell items. It's pretty useless, because it would be just as easy (and as quick) to be next to the player log on, drop the money/bells, log off and let them pick up the money/bells and drop the item originally dropped. If they don't, you could yell. The auction house is only good if you're playing with other on the same Wii.

To get a full auction, you need friend codes. When you visit another town not only will the animals around the city talk about the other towns, but the auction, as long as your on wifi, will show items your friend's selling, and, in HRA, your friends' house can be displayed.
