Let's BattleOk, so we have said since the get-go that trainers can battle each other, but we haven't seen much of that so far. So I propose we make a sort of battle system, and here it is. An extremely simple, how to battle, thread. ~Please pardon the length, but I had to explain it completely~ I. The Battle System II. Steps in a Battle III. How to Battle a Trainer IV. Key Information/Guidelines/Short Recap (Still read the posts above this) V. A Link to the example Battle

The battle system
For the battle thread to work properly, and to prevent godmoding, players will have to make dice rolls. This also creates the element of reality, and chance. What is a dice roll? A dice roll os one of your post actions. While making a post, go to the top right hand section, just below size and align. Chose roll dice. Now you have finished the first step in the process of understanding battling.
In this starter battle ststem, i will ask you to post a dice roll of 5d10. How do i read this? This is simple, and you must understand the formula before you play. The 5 in front means 5 dice. The d means dice. The 10 at the end means a 10 sided die. All together this asks you to roll 5, 10 sided die. This means that the minimum total is 5 and the maximum total is 50. Later on we may have you use diffrent die, and in diffrent amounts, so understand how to read dice roll requirements.
Your pokemon have to have some sort of health, correct? Otherwise the damage done to them will do nothing at all, and the battle will never end. So to figure out your pokemons health, take their level and multiply it by ten. Or if you do not like math, just add a zero at the end of the level. ~example~ A lvl.5 would have a health of 50
At the moment, damage will be the same for all pokemon and all levels. The damage you roll will be the dice roll (5d10). At the end of posting with a dice roll the total is shown on top of your post. Whom ever you are battling will have to then take that number and subtract it from their current health. Once a pokemons health has reached zero or became a negative number, the pokemon has fainted, and can no longer battle.

The Steps in a Battle
1. The players must decide on who will start the battle. Normally it will be the person who created the battle thread.
2. The fisrt player makes a battle post. This includes the pokemon that you will first be battling with, their current health, and a breif RP.
3. The oposing player will subtract the damage dealt to their starting pokemon of choice, and post the current health, a dice roll, and some RP.
4. The next player must continue to use the same pokemon, switch out have not yet been added. They must calculate the damage dealt, post the dice roll, the curent health, and a breif RP.
5. Repeat Step 4 untill a pokemon faints. Then the player whos pokemon fainted may chose their next pokemon, and continur battling. This dose not take one of their turns to acomplish.
6. Once all the pokemon of a player has fainted, the Match has ended. The player with pokemon that can still fight wins.

How to battle a trainer.
Before you can use this new information, and have an amazing battle, you must first find someone to battle. To do this you may PM a trainer or post on the home page, asking for a trainer battle. But if the trainer you PM'ed dose not want to battle, do not pester them. This may force us to ban you from the guild.
Once a trainer accepts you have to decide on a few things together.
1. How many pokemon will you be using? 2. Will you folow the rules of levels, or will you make all your pokemon the same level for battling pourposes. 3. What happens when people have to log off in the middle of a battle?
1. Trainers can use 1-6 pokemon, and only the pokemon in their pokemon slots. No pokemon from storage can be used, so switch pokemon out regularly. Both trainers have to agree on this, together. But if one trainer dose not have the correct number to battle, such as a battle of 5 on 5 but one trainer only has 4 pokemon, the battle must be reduced to a 4 on 4 match.
2. It is totally fine to ignore the level ruels. All pokemon can 50 health to 1000 health. It trully dosent matter, but both trainers have to agree with the change in the ruels. But be warned, pokemon with 1000 health means a very long battle, so be prepared to spend alot of time on the match.
3. You as the trainers must decide what to do if a trainer has to log off in the middle of a battle. You can either end the battle, and let the person who has the most health or the most pokemon unfainted win, you can end the match in a tie, or you can agree to continue the match later on. It is really your choice. But if one trainer wishes to end te match, they must let the other trainer know. This is just polite, since the trainer may be waiting for you to continue the match.

And this will be a temporary battle rewards system.
For each individual battle won (so for example, you have 6 Pokemon and you win your first match, then you lose all the others) you will recieve 5 EXP. But even if you lose the battle, you still get 1 EXP. For now, no matter the Pokemon level, it'll take 15 EXP to gain 1 Lv.
