What are your thoughts on Michael Jackson's death? It was a surprise when I heard about it.

mmm I was surprised, but since the whole child molestation thing, I really haven't been following along with his life, I pretty much ignored his existence.

He will forever be "Daddy" to them no matter what happens.

Im actually getting sick of hearing about it, and I know Im not the only one. Its half of all the news I get to see these days. What about all the other celebs who died this year? No one talked about George Carlin. Billy Mays was barely a side note. There was another one just the other days I heard about, but I forgot who it was already.

Farrah Fawcett died the same day MJ did, I didn't know about George Carlin. Its sad these people have all the money in the world, yet their health is worse than mine.

His death upset me a lot more than I thought it would have. I haven't listened to his music in ages, but he's sort of synonymous with elementary school for me.

I remember hiding behind the couch when "Thriller" came on TV. I remember learning how to do the moonwalk when I was in gym class. I remember white, leather gloves getting banned from our school. When I was in first grade, one of my classmates got to see him in concert; his dad worked for the venue, and had managed to get him an autographed t-shirt. We all had to line up after show and tell to touch the t-shirt because it had been IN THE PRESENCE of Michael Jackson. biggrin What can I say? We were in second grade.
