I know I have.. I just did today. I did really well on the main playing and the counting out loud parts but I did horrible on the scales.. I totally froze and forgot the notes! I still cant remember!! Do any of you clarineters know the notes for concert major C scale? concert major G flat? I cannot remember those for the life of me!! sweatdrop

Whats the worst youve ever done on a playing test?

Eh, I just had a test yesturday. I didn't mess up or anything, but I doubt I'll move up... all of the clarinets in my band play so well. o.o;

The last test I did went very well, but I have bombed out before. I played one scale with the wrong tounguing style, and then totally forgot to play another. Oddly I got 8/10 on the one I didn't play.

Lesse....

Concert C = D: D E F# G A B C# D
Concert Gb = Ab: Ab Bb C Db Eb F G Ab

I'm not a clarinetist, but I'm a tenor player, which is in the same key.

I haven't had any playing tests in a while, and our only playing tests recently have been scales, which I always ace. I never worry about doing too bad on playing tests 'cause I know all the other flutes are gonna do worse. XD

Me Manda, me play vibes!!!!!! I am the u1+4m4+3!!!!!!!! You bow to this seniority! lol However, out drumline sucks. They cannot cunduct themselves in any manner. Becuase of this, we are unable to have a spring trip. Stupid immature brats..... -.- I wanted to go to the Presidential Inaguration and New York!

I did very well on my last test, jumping about five chairs. I've never actually bombed a test (unless you count the time I tried out for Junior Honor Band - what misguided optimism that was), but I have done just so-so.

well now that you mention it.....
*mumbles*yes.
in fact... a lot. 'cuz I'm, quite possibly, the worst snare player in history. You could not have conceivably interpreted my foolish tappings on that drum asanything on the page. It was downright awful. Why can't we hae more keyboards plying tests? crying

Last year I learned to never use a new reed on a playing test. Now I have about 10 reeds in my case sweatdrop Paranoid! biggrin But in the long run I guess it doesn't really matter because I'm the only bassoonist and I always have an A in band no matter how horribly I do on playing tests.

Hehe.

Never on a playing test (though on the last chair test, I thought I did horribly. I was in tears. I ended up getting first chair sweatdrop but I felt like crap until I found out. When I listened to the tape again, I realized I didn't totally suck) but on Solo and Small Ensemble freshman year, I was so nervous that I messed up horribly and the judge stopped me five measures into the piece, told me to take a deep breathe, and start over again, and then just judged me on the second time through. (which was far too generous, but I wasn't about to demand she count the first try)

But it remains in my memory, that I started off so badly that the judge actually stopped me.
