I listen to darkwave, rock, goth rock, metal, neoclassical. And I don't know which genres you like, so I'll try to put my fav. bands by genres too [although I'm not always sure about genres].
alternative rock: Héroes del Silencio, Enrique Bunbury, The Cranberries
darkwave and similar: Clan of Xymox, Persephone, L'Ame Immortelle, Lacrimosa, Dead Can Dance, Switchblade Symphony, Faith and the Muse, Lacrimosa, Unheilig
neoclassical [as subcategory of darkwave]: Ataraxia, Autumn Tears, Elend, Dark Sanctuary, Aythis, Dargaard
goth rock: Siouxsie and the Banshees, Fields of the Nephilim, Cinema Strange, London after Midnight
electro/industrial: Ayria, Panzer AG
metal [I like mostly symphonic and power, but some others too]: Epica, Dark Moor, Tierra Santa, Nightwish, Macbeth, Elis, Stratovarius, Power Quest, Visions of Atlantis, Rhapsody of Fire, Tristania, Theatre of Tragedy, The Gathering, Chalice, After Forever, Aesma Daeva, Midnattsol
various other stuff: Abney Park, The Clockwork Dolls, Loreena McKennitt, Iona, Angizia, Moi Dix Mois, The Delgados
