Piercing blue eyes gazed up at ominous clouds blotting the skies as mud stains a white Soquili's pelt. The mare stretched out her white and blue wings, scanning them for any sort of foreign material that didn't belong between the long feathers. She was very particular about keeping her wings clean, along with her mane which tossed lightly in the gentle breeze that blew past her. Much to her dismay, the weather seemed too hazardous for flight on this day. Those same blue eyes narrowed slightly, her tail lashing once. It was quite agitating to be grounded as if she didn't have the gift of wings, and she despised the feeling.
Zaiella folded her wings neatly by her sides as she ambled her way to the pond before her. Bending her neck, she lapped at the cold, crystalline water. It felt nice as it ran easily down her throat. She raised her head, lifting up one golden hoof for a moment, examining it before stepping into the water. The cool water, lapped at her ankles and she closed her eyes with a sigh. Despite the fact that she wasn't able to fly safely, she enjoyed these sorts of calm, serene days.

Rune awoke with a happy sigh, the air was crisp and clean. He could see he sky was just giving a way from purpley-black to turn a light crystal blue, he could hear the birds were waking up and the bugs were buzzing from the doorway of his cave.
He yawned and stretched his long wings from a good nights sleep. It had been only a few weeks since he had left his family to start a life of his own, to find a home which was not to far from his family. He figured he was far enough to see them and far enough to have his own space, they were afterall a flight away. Especially with his wing span.
He shook himself awake and made his way out of his cave to find some food, he was starving.

Zaiella's eyes snapped open, observing the area. She could have sworn that she heard movement, movement she couldn't see at the moment. Her eyes scanned the rugged terrain about two hundred or three hundred metres away and she caught a glimpse of what she assumed was the cause of the noise she heard. A blue and yellow stallion was sauntering out of a cave in the side of the cliff. From what she saw, he had enormous wings, close to twice the size of her own, and wore a scarf around his neck. He also had an interesting light blue mane and a tail of the same -or similar- colour.
She bent her neck again and drank, keeping her eyes on the stallion. After all, she was a tad bit too guarded sometimes.
