RP between H'ray'ii ( o0 Sephiros Immortal) & Ninde'Giliath (Manda)

Today, Gil was out for a walk... just seeing what was around this area. Maybe there were some nice handsome men he could cuddle up to! Still convinced he was a girl, the young cheeton tossed his short mane about and preened a little as he passed under a tree. He really preferred to take these walks in the evening, since it made his fur look all the better against the night sky. But hey... take what you can get. Ah! Was that a pool of water over there..? He should check and make sure he hadn't gotten himself too dirty. Practically prancing over, Gil paid little to no attention to his surroundings, peering into the water at himself and combing claws through his mane a little.

H'ray'ii, her stomach full from a recent hunt, was in something of a thoughtful mood, contemplating over the past week or so. Many things had happened, some good, some bad...but most good...and she now had a rather warm, pleased feeling within her chest. Pattering forward, she was headed for water, needing something to wash her meal down with, when she spied the young cheeton. Blinking...she had to do a double-take. Was he...preening? Well all right, that was something one didn't see every day. Doing her best to not gawk, the lioness made her way over to the water to have a sip, attempting to not get in Gil's way.

However, even as the lioness padded up, Gil was -still- not paying much attention and started to move around, up and down the bank a little. He was trying to figure out how to see the most of his body at one time. After all, he had to make sure he wasn't getting ... oh, fat or anything like that. And without realizing what he was doing, he bumped right into H'ray'ii's flank and fell back with a little yelp. "Oh! I ... I'm -terribly- sorry, I didn't see you there!" he exclaimed, voice pitched a bit higher than your typical male's - which didn't help his delusion one bit.

Oh...good gracious! She could hardly stifle her giggle, much less keep a straight face, so she turned it into a smile instead, "Ah! Hello there! I'm sorry...it's all right really..." The other hadn't been watching where he was going, she could tell. My goodness but he was a young, sprightly thing. "A bit absorbed in the water, were we?" She teased softly, amusement glimmering in her bright eyes. "Are you quite all right?" He had fallen rather soundly upon his rear...and no matter that it was funny, he might have bruised himself.

Flushing now - and glad his dark fur hid it - Gil scrambled up to his feet and bobbed his head slight. "I'm fine! I just... I wasn't paying attention." Glancing back at the water again, and then to the lioness he summoned up manners. "I'm Ninde'Giliath... it's been a while since I could look at myself in the water."

"Ah! A pleasure to meet you. I'm H'ray'ii." Nodding her head to him, she still smiled broadly, "And the water does make a fetching mirror, doesn't it? It's not perfect, but a still pool is the best you will get!" As a lady, she understood these things, though it seemed odd for a young male to relish them so.

He nodded eagerly at that. "Exactly! I was trying to see if I was... well. Oh this is embarassing!" he giggled just like a teenaged girl. "But I was trying to see if I was getting fat or anything." He would have never talked like this to one of his sisters - they only made fun of him. But another female like this older lioness ... surely she would understand!

Her eyes widened ever so slightly, and she sloooooowly tilted her head to one side, blinking at him in a nonplussed fashion. "No...you're not fat at all...you seem entirely healthy for a youth at your age..." Whatever was wrong with this lad? He seemed a bit...feminine, really...a nice fellow, but perhaps not all right in the head. "Whatever would have given the idea you're fat, hmm? Have you been eating more than usual?"

"Then why are you staring at me like that?" Gil asked, suddenly flustered as he whirled to try to peer into the water again. "Is there something in my hair? On my face...?" Forget her other question - he'd been -totally- distracted by that odd look.

"Ah no..." She stated carefully, "There's nothing wrong, you just seem to be a most interesting sort of person, I daresay I've never met anyone quite like you..." What sort of family had this boy been raised in, to turn out this way? If she hadn't known better, from the rather obvious indications, she might have thought this budding adolescent a female rather than a male.

"Oh," Gil said, sounding relieved as he turned to face her again. "But I'm not sure if you mean interesting in a good way or a bad one... " he confessed, biting his lip a little. Then he backtracked and realized he'd totally ignored a question. Oooh he couldn't be doing that! What would boys think if he did that to them? "I ah... I'm sorry I missed answering your question earlier. I haven't been eating more lately I was just... wondering." A little pause and he tilted head. "Don't you wonder about that sometimes?"

"Oh no! It's not bad...really...this interesting stands on itself..." Goodness, but he was almost adorable, this youngster, like the sort of fellow you just wanted to hug. "And not to worry..." She easily soothed as her question was addressed, waving a paw, "I don't usually wonder about getting fat...I'm a pretty active gal...so...all's well, you know? So long as I keep moving and running, then there's nothing to worry about! You shouldn't worry either." And with that, she poked him playfully on the nose with one paw-pad.

He wriggled his nose at her poking and blinked wide blue eyes at the older female. "Oh, really...? So, I should just excercise a lot, and that helps?" he asked, as if it such was a revelation to him. Of course, no one had ever given him much advice before - all his sisters ever did was be -mean-. Like trying to tell him he was a boy. Hmph.

"It does..." She nodded, surprised at the response...but then, this guy seemed to be just full of surprises. "Just don't overdo it, or you'll be skin and bones, and that wouldn't be attractive at all. It's a careful balance. Get plenty of exercise, and eat when you're hungry...as long as you don't just snack on things all the time...you won't gain extra weight!" It amusing how he was paying such attention to her advice, but flattering all at the same time.

"Oh ... that makes sense!" he exclaimed at that, with an excited little bounce. That was more or less what he did anyway, but it was very nice to know that it was the right thing to do. Smiling, he nodded to her. "Thank you, H'ray'ii."

"You're most welcome!" Ducking her head in turn, politely, she then tilted her head up, wrinkling her nose. "Mmm...I smell rabbit too..." Now...she had just eaten, but she rather thought that a rabbit sounded good in addition...call it dessert, and rabbits were so small, it should be all right. "I'm going to go grab a snack. It was very nice meeting you, Ninde'Giliath! I wish you good luck in keeping yourself trim and fit!" And with a wink, she turned and began to pad off. What a very strange boy...

Gil nodded at that and waved a paw as she turned to walk away. "Good luck in your hunt!" he called softly, so as not to alert the rabbit - wherever it might be. "And thank you again..." Maybe he might see her again someday, that would be nice... he wished he had more friends aside from his stupid sisters.
