Ah! When was the last time he could relax? That good feeling was stirring inside of him, easing himself into observing the lioness before him with attention as his crimson eyes seemed to follow every curve and line of her body. He was on cloud nine from having been recently 'schooled' on a few new tricks, all thanks to his mate. As of lately the old habits which had previously kept him on his toes and even entertained him were falling short but this- ohohoh, this just crowned the icing to his cake of pleasure! A somewhat disillusioned, giddy and near lopsided grin stretched across his maw while a deep throttled purr rose from his throat. How did she move like that? Where did Rin learn to do that? He was amazed, stunned and left exhausted. Laying there in a heap of fur and limbs, Duzi stared outward past his mate and out from the secluded outcropping of rocks. Such a thought made a smile lightly tug at his maw and soft chuckle rise form his throat. Although the times had certainly slipped through his paws since the two were together it seemed that Duzi was now confident that time didn't have nothing on them; they still had it. Deep inside he felt a small twinge of victory.
Duzi: 1 Time: 0
He was winning. And he liked it.
Had he a drink he would surly toast his mate for her cleverness and skills- skills which he was quickly realizing were just as sharp as the day he had met her. To Rin! The lioness who certainly couldn't be matched in both talent and stamina; a lioness who was his cuppa' tea.
It seemed as of lately good lioness's were hard to find. Though with finding Rin it was almost as if it was a miracle. Previously he had centered himself into charming the females who were off limits or were constantly stalked by other males who sought to establish a 'love ritual' or whatever else it was entitled to be. But being an individual who didn't like to move too damn fast or make a fool of himself only added to his persistance of attempting to 'woo' the fiery lioness known as Rin. Thankfully it was a patience and a knowledge in females which helped Mpinduzi take his first step.
Remnants of emotions toiled upon him while his heart pitter-patted against his chest. With having found his mate, reuniting with her, and hopefully soon starting a new life with she and his daughter, Kipaku'penzi, it seemed that nothing could go wrong. There was stil time at hand to soak in the moment and take it easy but Duzi wanted to put the ax to the grind. These realizations of family and togetherness kept on sounding better and better the more he thought about it. Even Kip seemed content with the idea of brothers and sisters. Perhaps, in a way, it made it all the sweeter with his own daughter perfectly fine with the idea of new addtions to their family. But, if it was for any certain reason, Duzi was certain Kip supported such an idea so that she could train her brothers and sisters to look up to her and to serve her well. That cheeky blighter! For now, Duzi would simply have to keep on his toes and be able to help Kip resist any temptation that could come with younger siblings as the last thing anyone needed was to be left helpless with a mob of cubs helpin their older sister rally for a cause which they couldn't fully comprehend.
Now that was a scary thought.
As a gentle breeze seemed to wisp a tapered, black pieces of mane in his face, Duzi let a small smile slide across his maw. It seemed that his old antics were slowly kicking out from under the dust as he stretched, smiling with a flash of pearly whites while claws extended outwards from their sheathes. While Rin laid curled before him, the male only chuckled softly. She, Rin, was one of the few that understood him; someone he trusted with his own life and that sickly, horrid void of a feeling left when thinking about a life without her was something he could never fathom or consider. He had previously experienced such a thing but never again- never would he let himself be subject to such a thing.
Black ears flickered as his tail thumped upon the ground. Ah- Mpinduzi couldn't help but smile a bit wider.
Secretly his curiosity was getting the better of him. Unfortunately he couldn't disclose nor go into detail of what his thoughts seemed to touch upon, Duzi was simply satisfied with himself and his mate. From the looks of it it was as if Rin was now taking the reigns in this relationship and saying that he liked it was something the male could openly admit. Canting his head slightly as his overall posture and body language relaxed and loosened. Meanwhile his tail swayed, thumping upon the rocks while his tail curled about his body. With weight shifting slightly, the male rolled from his side and onto his back.
Try as he might it certainly was something that he had quite a hard time trying to ignore. Duzi couldn't help but show his chivalrous side and make a good female blush. But that approach had been the past. With Rin it seemed the latest and greatest ideas centered around old habit and all things styled after the absolute latest and greatest. Unfortunately one of his weaknesses rested in the fact that sly tactics and flirty conversations had been crammed into his head for so long that it was near impossible to stop. But because of Rin it was that she not only whipped him into shape but put him back in line from time to time. Like a reward after a good job well done, Duzi had come to expect somewhat of a reward or perks having done a good job at keeping himself contained.
The cogs of his mind began to turn once more leaving the lion still stunned and far from being apart of the present world.
"Wow...."
