My friend has a pet rat that she can no longer care for. She doesn't want to give it to just any one though, she wants to be sure that it can be taken care of properly by a loving family. The rat is about a year old so she has about 2 or 3 years left to live. We are located in SouthWest Florida. Please reply if you are interested or know someone that is. I can talk about more details afterwards.

I LOVE rats, I have one of my Own her name is Ziggie and she's not even a year yet... heart heart heart but I luvs her!!! heart heart heart I wish I could take your friends rat but sadly there are a few reasons why I cannot

1. I live in Oregon
2. My mom wouldn't be too happy
3. Ziggie wouldn't like me to pay attention to anyone but her....

I do have a friend who lives in Medford Oregon that would love a rat but sadly its still in Oregon.... Good luck though!!!

Sucks. I wish I could take her, I'm sure my Meka would love a buddy to play with while I'm at work all day, but sadly, there is naught I can do, living in Maryland. If I had a driver's liscence, I'd call in sick for a few days, drive down, and take the rat anyway. But with lazy parents.... *sigh* Oh well. Good luck, though! Try going to some rat fan club webpages and posting there ^.^

Oh I should take this down. With our growing herp collection ((Each of us having two snakes and her sister having two, with more on the way for me)) we have decided to keep the rat and make her a breeder. It is more cost effective that way for snake feeding.

Thank you to those who said they were interested.
