 Quin sat atop a large rock formation in a peacful meditation. His flute out as he played a calm melody. He thought about past events and events that were being planned for the future. He was seemingly alone in the early hours of the morning. Nothing but large boulders and desert. It was hard to spot him in the dark. The sun was still a half an hour from showings its face to the land below, which was the perfect time for some meditation in melody. Though he was miles away from the main camp he still felt safe. Ander worried little about anything. Worry lead to a mistake years before and he has since than done away with it. Worry only leads to suffering of many...

Marcia stood above the desert eye level to her large skeletal ZOID upon the ruins of what seemed to be an old Imperial base staring out at the empty desert. It was early the best time for moving about with her monstrous companion. The stars still sparkled faintly in the dark sky; the moon had long since disappeared from above taking shelter behind the horizon. A dry morning breeze blew scattering the sands causing something like mini sand tornadoes.
The wind blew Marcia’s long black hair as she ran her thin fingers through the ebony stands. A deep growl that would frighten most sounded beside her, “Mmmh?” Marcia glanced to her left looking the bone white ZOID in its glowing red eye.
“Time to go eh?” she smirked at the ZOID tapping it lightly on the side of it’s face just above its cheekbone or what would pass as that for the skeletal dinosaur. “Open up then.” with another deep growl the Zoid opened the cockpit for its Pilot. “Thank you.” She said eyeing the mechanical creature carefully before leaping off her perch and into the open cockpit.
The Zoid jerked away as Marcia jumped.
Marcia’s reflexes quickly kicked in as she quickly gabbed hold of the side of the open cockpit sensing her muscles flinging herself into the seat. Marcia glared at the Zoid’s controls. “b*****d…” she whispered quietly under her breath.
SkullGreymon roared in response as the cockpit shut.
With an irritated sigh she took up the Zoid’s controls “Let’s go.” She said with a smirk as she maneuvered the controls the bio Zoid moved forward in the darkness long before the dawn.

The sound of a charging ZOID broke the silence of the morning, but Quin finished his soothing song before opening his his to what was passing by. By the sound it was not too close, but not entirely far either.
He recognized the white bone ZOID immediately. It was Saga's own rival. Saga, his own ZOID, hunted that things for years only to have the hunt called off when someone was finally able to tame the creature. Quin was personally happy that someone had. Saga hated this.
"Well well, the strong one...." He reffed to the pilot. Quin remembered their first encounter, she was ready to take on a legion of tough bandits. The thought made him chuckle. Not out of mockery, but rather that it reminded him of something a good friend of his did.
The eye patch's lenses rotated as he got a closer look at it. He could hear Saga grumbling over the radio.
"You should let it go old friend... Remember you were no different when you found me. Very wild..." The voices of Saga grumbled at bit, but quieted quickly. It still found their first encounter amusing.

Skullgreymon stopped suddenly and began scanning the horizon
"Woah! What are you stopping for?" she asked the zoid glancing at the Radar trying to find what the zoid was looking for. Sure enough there was a small blip at the edge of the Radar. Marcia frowned and shook her head "No way."
The Zoid Roared defiantly as though it was going to go whether or not she agreed too.
Marcia put one of her gloved hands to her temple and sighed. "Fine," she gave in with an exasperated sigh "we'll go take a look." she poked her finger at the controls "You better behave no matter what we find got it I don't want to have to get Dante to fix you again because you like to charge in recklessly." she scolded.
Skullgreymon rumbled as Marcia began to move the Zoid toward the blip on her radar.
"I hope that was a yes." she muttered.

Quin smiled as he watched the ZOID change course toward them. This should be interesting...
It looked like he was alone atop the platform rock formation. No ZOIDS, no one else around him. He placed his hands in his pockets and waited for this inevitable encounter with the young determined pilot once again. They could now meet under less hostile circumstances.
Saga groaned a little than fell silent at his pilots command. The sands shifted a bit than there was a strange pulse about the area, creating a shield from radars and heat signatures. The ZOID was told to remain out of site, and with much argument did as told.

Marcia noticed a lone man standing on a rock formation as they closed in "Is that was bugging you?" she muttered still not seeing anything of consequence but glanced quickly again at the radar. The blip had vanished...Damn. Marcia eyed the area suspiciously a pulse of some kind must have been sent out. There was certainly something else there it was just out of her sight Skullgreymon knew where it was undoubtedly.
The closer they got the more recognizable the man got "It's Quin!" came the realization. And he looked like he was waiting too Marcia smirked what the hell she thought quickly.
Skullgreymon growled and looked around looking for the concealed zoid; Marcia halted the zoid in front of the rock face. She sensed the zoid's uneasiness "You agreed remember we'll find what was bothering you after." she reminded him of what she had said earlier before opening the cockpit.
"Been a while Quin." she said leaping out onto the rock formation in front of him. Though instead of a disguise she was wearing her 'normal' clothing.

Quin gave a bow as the lady exited the cockpit. He was somewhat surprised that she did not sound so cold to him and was not hiding her true self. He smiled as he straightened his posture once again.
"It has, pleasure to see you and your friend again Marcia."
He folded his arms across his chest. It was a comfortable pose for him and at this moment had no other meaning than that.
"So what brings you two out here?" He inquired and looked from the bone ZOID to the pilot. "If you don't mind sharing that information."

Marcia returned the greeting with her own "Likewise Quin." She glanced at the zoid who was still growled a sound that came from deep inside the ZOID.
"You have a friend here too I see or suppose I don't see." she said with a smirk. "You certainly couldn't have put out a pulse like that all by yourself." she said observantly.
Marcia put one hand on her hip then smiled slightly "It's not to secret what I'm doing around here there's a shipment though a nearby area my employer wants me to check out." she said plain and simply "Though that by no means I wont pick up a few things for a friend of mine who's also interested in that particular shipment." Marcia glancing at her zoid for a moment before looking back at Quin "What about you?"

"I see." Quin nodded. "Yes, Saga is always where I am. But as part of our agreement he must stay hidden. Like your ZOID he was quite the wild one."
It was a rogue code not to inquire much about jobs, at least in his own gang it was. Unless it would get in place the gang in jeopardy. Though most of his group is gone he still followed some of his own codes.
"As for me, just a morning meditation. Saga and I both need a refreshing of the mind sometimes." He adjusted the patch over his eye. The lenses clicked a few times than returned to their previous position.

The growl coming from her zoid became momentarily more hostile upon hearing the name of the other Zoid. Marcia chuckled supposing that other zoid was the real reason Catastrophe had wanted to come this way. "Old enemies eh." she muttered quietly with a slight smirk.
"Your Saga stays hidden for the same reason Catastrophe and myself move around when it's dark." though she had moved around a few times during the day when absolutely necessary or for intimidation purposes. Marcia shifted her weight to her other foot before nodding that seemed a common thing for many of the wiser no matter where they came from.
"Sorry to disturb your meditation then." Marcia then raised her voice so the other zoid could hear "Nice to meet you Saga." Good name for a Zoid Marcia suddenly thought it most certainly fit even though she couldn't see the concealed zoid.

"I was just finished, there was no interruption." Quin smiled as Saga broke his silence for a simple question. "Very well." He spoke holding his index finger it his ear, triggering a small communications device.
The sands shifted to the right and left of the large rock formation they stood on. But only for a moment. Several voices came from the sands all sounding different, but hard to tell what. Like a mixture of several different animals each. All in response to Marcia's greeting. But the ZOID did not show itself. The sands calmed and the ZOID grew silent once more. By the look of the shifting sands, it looked to be quite a large ZOID. Rivaling Catastrophe's own size.
"He seems quite taken by you. Saga is quite the lady's ZOID.... when he wants to be."

Marcia took a quick subtle note of the communication's divice hidden in Quin's ear before quickly turning her head to the right to see Saga's partial revealing of himself by scattering the sands beneath him. Marcia gave a bow of thanks in the direction the sound had come from.
"Seems so..." she wasn't quite sure what she had done to win this soid's approval "He's unique by the sounds of it just like Catastrophe." she said taking mental notes of the zoid's size it would be a challenge even for Catastrophe to beat that one. That Hidden zoid was not something to underestimate by some circumstance they met in battle. Marcia figured it was the reason Catastrophe had wanted to come this way to settle an old score. Marcia most certainly wouldn't let him.
Catastrophe growled dangerously at the other zoid Marcia shot the Zoid a look and he quieted down... some.

Quin looked over at the agitated ZOID. Maybe one of these days they could battle, but not now. Not when their rage is fresh. That may cause the death of one of them, the ZOIDS.
"He is." He paused in thought. "I wonder sometimes if they were created in the same place... or possibly if they are siblings. Saga has not told me much about his past. But from what he has told me, it is an interesting tale."
It was because of this ZOID he was able to form a solid gang. Their bond was unbelievably strong. But it took a long time for that to be built.
"So tell me, if you do not mind, how long have you been a pilot?"
Ander had a feeling that this pilot had potential, and was convinced that she should meet Riot for possible recruitment. But before that was even mentioned, he felt that it was best to know her a bit more before deciding this.

"That's a possibility." Marcia began to think then suddenly wondered where the Bio Zoids and other wild Zoids such as Saga came from and who built them. "I don't know much about where he came from." she said indicating her own zoid. "He's not much of a talker." Marcia knew that Catastrophe would eventually talk to her so she wouldn't demand something he didn't want to talk about. Eventually when he trusted her more he'd talk to her. "I'll hear it one day I'm sure." she added with a slight smile glancing back at the skeletal ZOID.
Marcia shook her head "I don't mind." She thought back, she'd been the pilot of many zoids before most had been lent by her employers or she had stolen them for employers and fought her way out with the Zoid she'd acquired. But Catastrophe was of an entirely different class compared to the other ZOIDS she had piloted. "About three to four years in total now," Marcia admitted "compared to you not very long." with her head she motioned to Catastrophe "With him a year and a half." it had only been in that last half a year Marcia was able to get Catastrophe to walk during the day without to much of a problem, and that had been no easy task.

Dr. Richard Fox had his hand in creating a few ZOIDS, but as for their origin. That was unknown. They had been on ZI even before the humans had landed there. Some people spent their lives trying to figure this out, but none so far have found the secret.
He paused at her comment on her not being a pilot as long as he had. Did he look that old than? He cleared his throat and chuckled at the thought. No, he didn't look like a rookie or a young child.
"No doubt. Saga was the same way. It took a long time. And it is still taking time."
So she had been around. She was willing to share a bit of that information meant there was somewhat of trust going on... possibly.
