Kuyoja has set up the dummies, the target boards and had the first aid kit ready. Throwing shuriken could be tricky and he didn't want his student to get hurt. He had wondered as not many children had opted in learning weapon training, though his own comfort zone was with hand to hand combat; he still found it interesting.
With all his items set up it was now time to wait for his student to show up.

Teal enter in her first mele class very excited, she choose the throwing weapons for her type of body. She thinks that she is so short for hand to hand combat but she want to ask her teacher about it or if is better a short range weapon that hand to hand.
" hello, I'm Teal and I'm here for throwing weapons class, I think!" she smile while she leave her backpack and go near the teacher.

Kuyoja turned his head as he heard the girl approach, she was small and her wings moved very quickly. He recalled reading her chart and she was a hummingbird.
"Yes welcome to the class." He replied to her greeting with a nod of his head.
"Is this your first time using weapons?" He inquired.

Teal smile to Kuyoja and nods " thanks and yes I never use a weapon, but I thought it will be better for me that hand to hand" she blushed " you can see that I small" she look at her shoes.
Then look at her teacher " I want to know which close range weapon you think is better for me" she giggle a little " I think that a katana is bigger than me".

Eyeing the small girl he nodded his head, she was small, though he saw no need to be focusing the class on weapons she was describing. Close range would be a huge disadvantage to her small build. Plus her wings looked delicate, he did not want to see those wrecked.
He moved to pick up the shuriken he held it in his fingers looking over the fine weapon a moment before turning to look at Teal.
"I believe this weapon will be best suited for you. Shuriken, or throwing stars in english." He held the flat star like disc up so Teal could look over it carefully.
"We will be taking it slowly, I don't want you to hurt yourself." He continued as he then went to hand her the weapon.

Teal look at the shuriken with curiosity, this weapon is pretty a difficult thing in her opinion for a weapon. She smile to her teacher. "if you think is better, I like it is pretty and pointy" she try to catch it very carefully and she notice her sharp little star blades.
" how do I throw it? or the better form to hold it for throw" she said anxious to start.

Kuyoja nodded his head and then went to put the weapon down on the counter before he went to grab the hand wraps to put on the girls hands.
"First I want to wrap your hands with these. It will help until you get use to throwing the weapons and prevent you from any serious damage. " He explained as he took one of the girls small hands and went ahead to help her put them on properly.
Once done he went to get the shuriken again and then handed it to her.
"This is how you properly hold the weapon." He explained as he showed the girl how to hold the item. He then pointed to the target ahead of them. It was just a flat bulls eye target. Though it looked rather worn out, it seemed to be steady enough.
"That will be the target," he explained as he setteled into a position to demonstrate how to throw the star. It flew straight though it didn't hit dead center it was still in the red.
"I want you to try." He explained after he was done the demonstration.

Teal follow Kuyoja until the counter and look as himwrap her hands , because she want to learn as to do it herself. she listen to him about it will help her in her practice.
Then he give a shuriken again and show as to hold it properly, she try to hold it as him, but she need time to do it well enough. After she get the hold of the shuriken ok, she try the throw position after she looks Kuyoja try.
"Ok teache I go to try, wish me look!" she said happily , then she throw her start. It flew a little but it needed a little more of strength to get at the bull eye target.
"Ops I need to do it again".

Kuyoja nodded his head as Teal made the attempt to throw the small blade and though it fell short of the target he merly gestured she try again by taking another blade.
"It will come with practice, right now you just need to work up the strength not neccessarily the accuracy to get the shuriken at least the distance to the target." He explained.
He moved over to her and then helped to adjust her standing position.
"Try to do it now."

Teal pick another blade to thow it, first slowly she hold the blade propely and try the movement a few times, leting the arm get confy with it. After the adjust in her standing she feel a little better position for the throwing.
"Well Teacher , I go to try again more hard" giggle a little but soon get a look of focus in her eyes to throw the blade as Kuyoja teached her.
She throw it as all her strength, but this time it flow over the target , she need mesure the strength among the two throws.
" hehehe, now I know that I dont need all my strength to do it" she giggle waiting for kuyoja give her another blade.

The man watched the small slyph of a girl pick up a blade and throw it again. It was a better throw this time, actually making ti to the target rather than half way. It was progress at least.
"Yes much better, just remember what I showed you, in this skill accuracy can come later, I just want you to get use to throwing the blade." The tall man explained as he handed her another blade to throw. Only three more left, once done he'd go and retrieve the ones she had thrown.
"Does it feel any easier?"

Teal listened to kuyoja atently and blush a little when he said that she did better. She pick the new blade with a big smile in her face and getting in the throwin position more quickly that before it feel right now.
"yes it feel right to do it now" she said happily throwin the new blade with a little less hard that before but it got the target too, she no got really near any score point but at last it got there.
" awesome, I think a need to practice my aim more but I happy that I got there" she siad flying around happily waiting for the last 2 blades to throw.

She was a happy child, and that would on a normal person make them smile watching her. Instead Kuyoja remained impassive, waiting for her to settle down before handing her another blade.
"Much better, you will get the hang of this fairly quickly it looks like." He complimented her in his own strange monotonous way. "i want you to keep practicing with the rest of the blades. There are only three left after this one." He stated offering her the first blade.
"After that we can try working on aim."

Once she settle down Kuyoja give her the remaning blades to pratice the throw, she is very confident after her teacher words, she try again but think the the last throw was to hard too and try againd with a little less hard, the blade flow to the target and got it but as it dont have enoght strenght in the throw it fall in the floor.
Teal now is sure about the force she need to throw the blade to get to the target she is happy she had two more blades to do it.
"Ok teacher I'm now sure about the strenght I need to use to throw," she said confident about her next throw.

Kuyoja nodded his head going off to retrieve the blades that had fallen short or hit the target but fallen to the floor. Padding back towards her he quietly offered her the blades again.
"Yes, it does require a lot of strength to throw blades like these. " He repeated as he then turned to face the targets. "It involves a lot of your arm strength which will also predict your aim."
Readying himself he threw the blade quite quickly, though it didn't strike the center it was only slightly off its mark.
"I'd like to see you practice enough to hit and have your blade sink into it alright?"
