Yes, that is what I am pondering.
If you get rid of bowties and canes, how many bears will fit inside of a cave?
I personally, would estimate the total bears per square inch to be approximately 0.42.
Can I possibly get a secondary source to confirm or deny my findings?

Well, first what is the square footage of this cave. Also, are we talking like just completely fitting, or fitting and being able to live and move.

The average Sun Bear is aprx. 4 ft in length and the average weight is between 66-133lbs. The tail is 1.2-2.3 inches long. The Sun Bear does not hibernate, and, as a result, it can reproduce year-round. Being a primarily nocturnal creature, the Sun Bear tends to rest during the day on lower limbs not far above the ground. Because it spends so much time in trees, the Sun Bear can sometimes cause a good amount of damage to private property.
They do not live in caves.

Size range for females is from 500 to 700 pounds and for males 800 to 1,400 pounds. An adult male Kodiak bear stands 3.5–4.5 ft and when on hind legs, can stand up to 10ft tall. Home ranges of adult sows on Kodiak Island average 50 sq mi

~*Touch Says*~ Rileigh has this uncanny ability... Caves also differ in sizes. why don't we just layout a format of the cave. and in your usual 'story-book' caves, you have stalagmites. we would need to place them strategically so that no bears would get stabbed in the 'fitting'. Also, How deep will the cave go?
Using this plan, we can fit in more than your earlier estimate, i believe...I like bears.
and Roo's.
[Edit]
...to state the indifferent :D

I do believe the cave should be about 700 feet deep by 500 feet wide and 100 feet tall. Resulting in a total volume of 350,000 sq feet.

The White Tie Affair Depends, how big is the cave? We are currently trying to find out the required living space of a Kodiak Bear.
