The Yamabar Ranch is where the local farmer sells his livestock and crops. You can get a part-time job there. Just post in this thread and say how long you worked and do the math to see how much you earned. You earn 100 in-game-dollars per IRL hours. Just when you start work and when you stop. It must be a full hour before it really counts as an hour. That's important! Don't just wait 45 minutes or something and say that was an hour! AN HOUR FOR 100 IN-GAME DOLLARS!!!!
The Forest is where you can catch your own animals, chop down lumber and then sell them to people at the Yamabar Ranch. Just go to the Forest and Yamabar Ranch thread and say how long you worked. You get 500 in-game-dollars for one IRL hour. You earn more, but you have to travel to the forest AND the Yamabar Ranch before you get payed.
Reminder: You can use the hollowed-out subway tunnels for faster travel.

I'm working in the Forest for 8 hours (about night-time now...).
So in 8 hours I will have to go to the Yamabar Ranch to get $4,000.

For info on that, check out the Locations thread. And if you haven't read the response to your other question, yes, you start with $100.

I head out to the forest for work, but I take the regular walking method because I really hate those underground tunnels. They give me the creeps. And I like my fresh air, no matter what impeeds my journey.
So tomorrow, I guess, I will work for 2 hours at the forest.
(Am I doing this right?)

I worked for two hours at the forest and, tired and irritable, came over my creeps of the underground and took the subway tracks to sell my goods for 1000
