Sadie paced back and forth in front of the cave for the what seemed like millionth time. She had been there pretty much all more and had a path almost worn right outside the entrance. She was nervous, sick, and so very much pregnant which was the cause for her being all the way out here in the first place hoping that Myrrh would come by so that she could have a nice long chat with him.

None of this should be happening and she wasn't at all sure how or why it was. She wasn't supposed to be able to get pregnant in the first place and she was pretty sure that it was all due to some magical spell those damned fireflies created the last time she had been here. That had to be the reason why this was all happening. Looking in to the sky, she realized that it was almost noon and her oh so very fat belly was beginning to make hunger noises but she was too nervous to even think about eating. After she talked to him, only then would she be able to think about food.

User ImageMyrrh found his hooves carrying him faster then he could ever think that they could. Something was telling him that he had to get to a certain place before something happened. He wasn't sure as to what was happening, only that this feeling was telling him faster, though it didn't seem to matter how fast he went, he couldn't get there fast enough. Breaking through the trees, just near the cave in which he and Sadie had explored not too long ago, he found her pacing. But something was different, she looked nervous, and unwell. Ears falling back for a moment before pulling forwards again. Remaining where he was, he tried to think of what could have happened to her, she looked alright for the most part, besides her belly being enlarged. Had someone hurt her? If they did, they wouldn't dare hang around of he found out, but something else was telling him that it wasn't the case.

Coming forwards, his hooves almost dragging for some reason, though his legs moved perfectly fine. Myrrh approached her with concern, wondering now if he had done this to her. He didn't quite remember, besides them sleeping in the same clearing the night of the fireflies, that was all. He told himself, 'that was all'. But he couldn't even believe that, he just couldn't. Stopping just off her worn path in the ground, he merely watched her, not daring himself to speak, not yet anyways...

As soon as she heard him coming towards her, she spun on her heels and turned to face him as quick as anything and just stood there looking at him. Now that he was here, she had no idea what to say to him or how to even say anything to him. She wasn't sure what was going on herself much less how to even begin to explain it to him. Her ears were pinned back against her head and her stomach was still uneasy.

"Myrrh, I..." she said softly and still had no idea what to say. Suddenly tears started to slowly roll down her cheeks and she realized she was crying without really knowing why and she hated it. This whole not knowing what was going on thing was really starting to make her mad.

Myrrh watched Sadie turn to face him, she looked unsure from where he was standing, probably as unsure as he was. Tongue tied and speechless, he could only watch, listen and think to himself. Shaking his head he went to her as he noticed the tears that were spilling from her eyes. He only wanted to comfort her, like he had said some time ago, he wasn't leaving. Nor did he ever plan to, if he knew his mother, she would probably scold him for abandoning someone. Coming to stand beside Sadie, he nosed at her gently, using his nose to wipe away the tears upon her cheeks.

"It's alright." He said hoping that things were alright, he couldn't rightly tell. "Are you alright?" He looked her over again, she looked fine besides the bulge of her belly. He didn't know what else to say, there might have been many questions on his mind, but none seemed to place themselves in the right order, nor did they seem appropriate to speak at such a time like this. Ears flicking a little he listens to the sounds around them, listening for anything out of the normal, but he didn't hear anything. It seemed safe... For the moment.

'I...I d-d-don't k-know." she sobbed in reply. She really wasn't sure if she was alright or not. Physically she seemed alright other than being fat and very pregnant, which should not be even possible. Mentally she was exhausted and frustrated and confused. None of which was very bad so she could really be alright in that aspect. She just was so confused and didn't really know what to tell him or how to tell it to him.

Sighing and sniffing, she leaned her head against his neck, taking deep breaths to try and stop her crying. The foal or foals that were in her belly were beginning to kick her again, and this time they were being rather rough. She took a sharp breath in as a particularly strong kick caused a bit of pain. She sighed again and took another deep breath.

"Myrrh...I don't know what's going on. None of this...none of this should even be possible or happening right now." she said softly still leaning against him and taking another sharp quick breath as she was kicked again in the same spot.

Myrrh looked at Sade with concern, why wasn't any of this possible? She was a healthy mare who could do anything she wanted. Shaking his head a little he nuzzled against her, before moving to nose at her belly as his ears flattened back to the sharp gasps. He wondered if he could get them to settle down and not kick so hard, though it was somewhat of a long shot though.

"None of it? Why not?" he tilted his head a little wondering why, "You are a healthy mare as far as I know. Was there supposed to be something wrong with you?"

He didn't know of her past, of the terrible things that had been told to her by another. Still, he didn't like the feeling that he was left out of too many loops. Not moving away from Sadie, he wasn't looking to leaving her any time soon, really he wasn't leaving at all. His parents would kill him if he did and he wasn't looking to facing his parents' wrath any time soon.

"Did someone tell you other wise?" He asked wanting to know, he wanted to understand why she saying such things.

"Yes! There was supposed to be something wrong with me!" she practically shouted at him without really meaning too. As soon as the words came out of her mouth, she gasped at the anger in them. Tears started to flow down her cheeks again as she thought of how horrible she had just treated him. These stupid mood swings! None of this should be possible! She screamed again in her head.

"I'm so sorry." she sobbed, "I didn't mean to yell at you. It's just..." she sniffed as more tears came as she remembered the painful words he had said to her that day when he had left.

She tried to take a few deep breaths to calm herself down enough to be able to tell him why this was all so confusing and frustrating to her. She just didn't know what to say or how to say it. How could she tell him that there had been another stallion before him? One whom she had thought she had loved and then was betrayed by.

Ears laying themselves back against his skull, Myrrh backed a pace before retaking it as he had forgotten that she was leaning against him. Lowering his head some so that his laid over her neck, he tried comforting her the best that he knew possible, the way he had seen his father do for his mother when he was little. There weren't any words that he could think of that would make this all better. Something had told him that her past was more dark then he had even realized or could really fathom. Raising his head a little giving her a little breathing space.

"I know you didn't mean to, sometimes things happen that is beyond our control." He said comforting, letting her tears stain his coat in streaks. "Did someone hurt you?" he asked before he could really stop himself, if someone had he would make them pay, though he kept that part to himself and tried to hide it.

His question made her sobbing even worse as she still hadn't come up with a way to tell him exactly what was going on in her mind when she herself has no clue. She tried to get a hold of herself and began to try and take deep breaths to calm herself down enough so he could understand her. She was still sniffing and hiccuping now but she was starting to get herself under control.

"K-kinda...a long *sniff* time a-ago." she said through her sniffing and hiccuping. She took in a sharp breath as there came another painful kick to her sides from the foals that she was carrying. Once the pain subsided, her let out the breath slowly and found her hiccups to be gone and that she was able to talk understandably. "You see there was...another stallion...way before we ever met." she started slowly, unsure of her own words and what his reaction would be.

"I was young and oh so naive. I was in love and I thought that he felt the same way. We were...together for a long time and we hadn't been able to have any foals." she said as her voice began to get quiet as the memories came flying back to her. She felt like she was going to cry again from just telling him about all of those painful memories but she slowed her breathing and tried to do the best at calming herself down again. "Then one day he just couldn't stand it I guess. He was in a bad mood and I tried to find out what was wrong when he just snapped at me. He started yelling and saying how I was what was wrong." she paused again trying to calm herself once more but this time the tears slipped silently down her cheeks and her voice was starting to shake again.

"He said...that I...that I wasn't good for anything. That I was broken and that I lied to him about not being able to have foals. He blamed me and said it was all my fault. After he was done yelling at me...he just turned and walked away. Like that was it...like nothing had ever happened...I-I n-never s-s-saw him again!" she finished as the sobbing over took her again. She could see it as if it happened yesterday. His back towards her as he walked out on her and never looked back.

Ears laying themselves back some as he heard about this other stallion, one that had hurt Sadie to no end. If her had been alive back in those times, he would given the stallion a new make over, big time. Deep within his body, Myrrh could feel his temper rolling about in his belly, wanting to get out and wreck something, anything that could stand in his way. Also something that wasn't the lovely one that stood close to him, that he loved quite dearly. Lowering his head he nosed as her tears, in a way of trying to wipe them away. He hated seeing her look so hurt, so vulnerable to whatever else could happen in that small amount of time.

"He sounds like the type that would push his own problems onto most anyone." Myrrh said softly as he wrapped his head over her neck. "But he was wrong, you aren't broken. Not in the least and even if you were, that wouldn't make the slightest difference to me." He was trying to be soothing, caring and all around truthful. Well it was the truth, he wouldn't have cared if she weren't able to have kids, he loved her because of her personality and charm more then just her looks and ability to breed. Nuzzling Sadie he kept close to her, not wanting to let her go, wanting to protect her from the cruelties of the world that have yet to show. But he also knew that if he did that, he would be suffocating her, he didn't want that, oh no, that would be horrific.

She continued to sniff and hiccup as he tried to calm her down and for the most part it was working. She had stopped crying and was working on regaining her composure. It took her mind a moment to process what he had just said to her. He didn't care if she was broken or not? His feelings would have been the same either way? she thought to herself and tried to think of what those words meant to her. They certainly were a comfort, that she was sure of.

"Really?" she said softly to him. "You wouldn't have cared if I were able to have foals or not?" she asked quietly, just to make sure she understood him.

Just as the hiccups were subsiding, she received yet another swift kick in the side from the foal or foals inside of her. "Ouch! Geez! I know your in there! You don't have to make it known!" she grumbled as she winced a bit from the pain.
