Yamir had woken up with a start at the feeling of something touching the scratches on his butt – on a check, it seemed that there was a strange brown cheetah looming over his backside, looking at the scratches with a certain interest. “Excuse m-dsfa;kjdf;l!!!” HISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!! Yamir jolted underneath the paw of the stranger as he yet again prodded at the clawmarks.

Rotem frowned and looked up at the blue lion as he hissed underneath his paw. Well that was a strange sound! “Does that hurt then?” he asked, not sounding sarcastic in the least. In fact, he sounded highly curious about it. Yamir frowned – “Of course it hurts!!” he spit, ears flattening back into his mane. SERIOUSLY. Was this guy stupid?

However, Rotem’s brows just went up a bit before he started fishing around in the pack around his neck for something – ultimately, he produced a strange looking plant, which in Yamir’s opinion would have been utterly disgusting, looking over it thoughtfully. After a moment, the plant was stashed away once again just to produce and even grosser looking herb.

This check and replace pattern went on several times before the cheetah produced a rather bright looking flower, which immediately caught Yamir’s attention. “What’s that?” he asked, and the Cheetah frowned a bit. “It’s a flower – supposedly good for swelling and all of those painful sounding things.” He explained, nodding solemnly, before again putting it into his pouch. Yamir sighed. He’d wanted to look at the flower a but longer.

However, Rotem seemed to notice this as well – “If you like brightly colored things, you’d be best suited to the jungle that’s north of here. It’s full of all sorts of bright things.” He explained, before finally pulling out a plant and settling on it, pressing it against the scratches on Yamir’s butt and rubbing it roughly.

Yamir hissed and spit at every shift of the plant, finally growling and swiping at the cheetah, which seemed entirely unphased by the anger aimed at him. HE hadn’t done anything wrong!

“This will keep the scratches from getting infected. In fact, these will heal over and look just like they did before.”

The cheetah seemed to know exactly what he was talking about in terms of that, before tossing the remains of the plant away and frowning. “And now it looks like I’ll have to return to that jungle to find me one of those plants I so like…” he sighed, rising up to his paws and starting to walk.

Wait! Jungle!!?

Yamir was immediately up to follow after the cheetah, who actually didn’t seem all that surprised by the brighter colored lion wanting to follow along – in fact, it just spawned conversation between the odd pair.

“So you do like brightly colored things then?”

“A lot, actually.” Yamir admitted, before offering up a continuing thought, “Though most things where I was born are very… brown. My family was the most brightly colored.” He admitted frowning a bit. Huuuh, strange to think he was actually related to some of those very-brown lions.

No matter! He’d get his fill of bright-colored things and then move on to go back home…

If he could remember where that was when it came time for that!

Rotem chuckled a bit at the thought. “Well, this jungle seems to attract the brightly colored. It’s full of lions that wouldn’t even look twice at your color, as well as flowers of all kinds.

I only get by unscathed because I don’t wander into their jungle – if I have to, I get in and out as quickly as I have to. I would suggest if you want to look around…..”

He trailed off, causing Yamir to frown and push him to continue his thoughts – “If I want to continue…..?”

Rotem shook his head. “You’ll be fine. Just don’t say anything stupid if you’re encountered.”

It was a strange bout of advice from the cheetah, whom he parted ways with once they’d actually gotten to the jungle – which was all for the better, as the brightly colored flora had immediately called for him – and he’d answered it.

Farewell strange cheetah, HELLO FLOWERS!
