In the year 2134 AD, the scientists of earth finaly manged to get all of the environmental problems under control. The TGovernments also had a good understanding of each other, so war was not very frequent. However, the police forces now belong to the Corperations, as they have been left unchecked. Now they are ineffective, which led to the crime rate to sky rocket. As a result, the world governments created a specialized group of bounty hunters, and gave them special permission to hunt down and capture or kill these criminals that walk the streets. They get paid for every criminal they bring in, and many of them are ex military, born from super soldier programs. Because of this fact, the public named them "MERCS".
The story: The city of Tokyo has had a decent supply of help from the Yakuza, who stay out of trouble. However rival russian and italian groups have turned this place into a battle ground. The government, under the direct order of the emperor himself, mobolized two man units of Mercs to combat the mobs and bring order back to Tokyo.

The Factions:
Mercs: The bounty hunters. They hunt down the trash of the city, working in two man units.

The Yakuza: Now a legalized group, they are major buisness men and community leaders. However, they are being harassed by the Russians and the Ittalians moving in to Japan to gain a good foot hold. Now feeling that their honor has been threatend, the Yakuza bosses have resorted to defending themselves in the streets. They are devided into four clans.

Jacob sighed. "I shouldn't have tried to go in there." The mission they wre on was to tract down an italian mob bomb maker. They had tracked him to the port of Tokyo, where he had a factory. they found the small building and decided to use the front door. When Jacob went in, the building was rigged and blew up. Jacob got most of it, and was thrown back, into the path of the makers get away car, and was hit. that was a week ago.
