It was a discovery that made her stomach rumble and mouth water.
It was a discovery that made a shiver of joy tremble over Anjanas, her wings fluttering against her sides as she stepped into the field she had discovered just over a rolling hill.
And it was a discovery that would likely inspire poetry once she's stuffed herself and dozed for hours lazily in the hot summer sun, watching the clouds roll by.
It was a field of sunflowers, the golden petals swaying in the breeze, brushing against her stomach as she strode in, dipping her head to pluck a sunflower head, munching merrily on her new meal, chocolate braid trailing over her shoulder. It had been years since she enjoyed a hearty treat like this, having been trying to grow closer to the spirits far to the east, where there was little more then grasses and grain, the occasional scrub to eat from.

Wisp knew that there was those Soquili's that actually ate flowers - he wasn't one of them, but he was okay with it. They were food for many insects, and a treat for Soquili but he preferred sweet new grass. Flowers were for enjoying with his eyes, and for getting high on the pollen and nectar when he was in his small form as he was now.
He was on the wing, zipping and weaving in and out of the tall stems of the sunflowers, occasionally dipping into the head, his legs getting dusted in the dark pollen, and then he moved to another, a smile of joy on his face as he went.
He climbed at one point, getting as much height as his wings would allow, looking at the nodding, smiling faces of the flowers, and caught movement..large, brownish movement. He whirred in that direction, looking to see who, or what it was that was also out amongst nature's bounty.

Nudging on a second flower, checking the bottom and petals to make sure there was nothing living on it to be crushed, Anjanas fluttered her wings slightly as she bit down delicately, taking in another mouthful before lifting her head, looking around, ears perking at the sound of whirring wings.
Lifting her head towards the sound, her eyes widened slightly as it appeared she was about to be dive bombed, and the only thing that came to mind as she froze was two words.
'oh dear'

Wisp was a pretty competent flyer; sure there were the odd mishaps, but usually he was skilful on the wing. She was brown against a field of yellow and so it would be hard for him to fly straight into her.
He flew right up to her, looped once in the air, and hovered a small distance from her head, his wings working to keep him in one spot.
'Hi there!' he said, a smile on his face. He noticed that her wings were of a different shape to his, and her eyes were striking.

Letting out a soft sigh of relief, glad that the stallion in the are was of a larger size then her own, proportionally at least, thus allowing him to be a little less driven by the wind currents and quicker to stop and start mid air.
No brain trauma for her this time. For now at least, "Hello there. You've startled me."

Wisp apologised with a smile, dipping his head with a graceful arch of his neck in a bow.
'Are you enjoying your meal?' he asked, turning on the wing, looking across the field of sunny flowers, before looking back at the mare.

Nodding softly, the chocolate colored mare smiled kindly, flapping her proportionally smaller wings against her side with a leathery thump of the softly scaled membranes, shimmering from gold to soft cream, "It has been years since I've had Sunflower heads -- they are quite delicious. Especially with the nectar and pollen. And a few have the seeds starting to develop. The mix of flavors.. Mmn." She rose a brow, faintly glowing eyes watching the shrunken flutter before her, "Are you enjoying yourself as well mister.... I'm sorry, I don't believe I caught your name."
