Post your religious/spiritual/philosophical beliefs here. I think it'll be interesting to see what kind of things our members believe in.
I personally believe that there may be "higher" beings than ourselves, but I don't believe that there is a single entity that created everything and watches our every move. I don't think anyone can really know what happens when we die, (except maybe people who have had their heart stopped and then revived) but I like to think that maybe there's something else after this life. Either way I'm not too bothered because if there's nothing after death, then I don't suppose I will really mind. I think it is important to be a good person according to your own morals, even if for no other reason than to have a happy life.
Your turn!

I just spent a year and a half in India, so Hindu is a very present religion in my recent experience. I myself don't do religions as institutions, and so don't define myself as anything. Unaffiliated spiritualist. But generally i just answer Atheist to end all discussion.

Okay, I thought about taking the Wicca/earth religion/pagan option because I am a Pagan but my particular path has almost no resemblance to Wicca (at least not the way I do it) and I don't think of it as an "Earth Religion". I personally respect the Earth but my religion doesn't revolve around it. I'm a Norse path Heathen.
Yes there are certain elements of ritual and magic but most Christian denominations have some form of both. Though I suppose some of them might not like me characterising prayer and miracles as magic.

Oh. Hrm.
I'm a transcendentalist. Try saying that five times fast. sweatdrop I believe there's a god..... -like nebula. And that everyone starts out pure, comes to earth, and lives life, then eventually goes back to the godcloud (if that's what you want to call it). Then they're just recycled and made into new people.

I just realized I haven't posted my beliefs.
Well I believe there is some sort of a God or Gods; probably Gods. I don't like organized religion because I don't need some self righteous congregation telling me what to think. I do believe there is something after death but I don't know what. I figure I'll find out when the time comes.

ok... I am kinda Buddhist… a sect to be precise… I am what’s called Tantric. I believe that sexual intercourse and orgasm brings you to bliss. On top of that I also have the belief that every person has power to control there own destiny and are there for gods and goddesses of there own right. So in a way I don’t believe in gods and I do… My biggest thought is that you should take what you like out of religion and leave the rest. Is anyone understanding this???

I'm a Deist. I believe there's a god, but I don't believe that faith or prayer will change anything. This God has already laid out the foundation for life, down to the smallest detail, and prayer would shift changes in this master plan that would threaten to be life-changing or detrimental to other people, therefore I believe that God doesn't answer prayers because either he can't hear or understand them, or to keep an even balance in the universe.
Which brings me to my belief that God doesn't favour any race, faith, nation or people of a certain disability or sexual orientation. If he really hated gay people, wouldn't he naturally penalize them in some way? Like being born sterile, with a physical or mental disability or a mutation that makes them ugly in other peoples' eyes? He created them to look just like us, and have the same talents as us, so why would God say that they're subhuman? Same thing with races, nations and people of other faiths, they look just like us and have the same talents, so why are they supposed to be the infidel? God loves Christians just as They love Muslims, Buddhists, Jews, Pagans, Atheists, Blacks, Asians, Aboriginals, Americans, Iraqis, Norwegians and Russians.
However, I am slightly Antichrist, but that's for a personal reason, not for a matter of religious views.

I'm an agnostic, but there are very few religions and religious ideas that intrigue me anymore. Deism is one of them, because it makes sense to me compared to the other God Theories. The second one, please don't flame this, is a Satanist(devil worshiping version) where Satan was the real good one and that he fought with God, and God won. Then he changed the story so that everyone believed in him as the savior. In a way, its a very philosophical debate, but its one of the few ideas that has kept me from scorning religion as we know it. I have several other ideas that keep me interested, but I'd rather not list them all.
