We will spend more or less two weeks on each lesson. If I feel that you guys are understanding it fast I will shorten that time and if your not getting it I will lengthen it. It's all a matter of how well everyone understands.
Each lesson will have both traditional and simplified characters. Every few lessons you will be tested on a few traditional characters. But for the most part it's just so that you can get a look at them.
Every lesson you will be given quizzes on the characters in their simplified form. This will be conducted over the im system that Gaia has and if you cheat I could care less. I will set a date for each of the quizzes and on that date will be online for most of the day so that I can get everyone in. I'm willing to do it over two days just in case if some people miss it but they will be back to back days and I won't feel bad if you miss them both. If you know ahead of time that you won't be able to make either days then pm me and tell me. But it has to be BEFORE. I'll have no sympathy if I find out after the fact.
I will not chase after you to take the quizzes either. I will post a reminder about two days before but that's about it.
After the quizzes have been gotten out of the way I'll post sentence patterns and other parts of the lesson as well as worksheets. The threads with the worksheets will be locked and you will be required to send them to me.
At the end of each lesson there will also be a test. You'll be required to send those to me also and every three lessons we will have mass review test where you will be tested on the last three lessons. In addition when we hit lesson number five we will have a "midterm". There will be a brief review before that and I will tell you everything that will be on it at a slightly later date.
You're always welcome to pm me and ask me for extra help. If your grade, yes I will be keeping track of grades, hits below a c+ I will pm you and see if there is anyway I can help.
