Biography
Gary Kirk Jr. better known by his ringname, The Angel was born January 8th, 1987 to Gary Kirk Sr and Dianna Lisa Kirk. He was not brought up in a wrestling family but always had a love for the business, and started his training in Middle School by joining his schools wrestling team. He was immediately immersed into the world of traditional Grecco Roman style wrestling, and won 2 state championships in 8th and 10th grade.
Upon graduating from High School, he joined a small backyard federation known as Deep South Wrestling where after 5 months he captured the Heavyweight title by defeating a man known as Rampage. He would then go on to hold the title for 11 months before vacating the title and leaving the company.
On April 10th, 2007 he received his first major break into the wrestling business by signing on with a developmental brand from Extreme Entertainment Wrestling. Although at the time he was at 350 pounds, he demonstrated excellent in ring prowess by defeating Goodvibes in dominating fashion. This match would open the door to a contenders match in which The Angel fell short and was defeated by Kasey Kidmen. No footage was available for this match. From there Angel went on to Outlaw Championship Wrestling, as well as Simply Sexy Wrestling, and captured the United States Heavyweight Championship of both guilds and holding them simultaneously.
Angel then signed a 2 year deal with the WWE, during the Smackdown vs. Raw era where he gained the World Heavyweight Championship and WWE Championship an impressive 5 times in 2 years. He had notable feuds with Matt Hardy, as well as Triple H and 'The Heartbreak Kid' Shawn Michaels, his longtime mentor.
Following the conclusion of his contract he signed a deal with a federation known as WWFG, debuting in an 'I Quit' Match against the 'Rated R' Superstar Edge, where he dominated for most of the match and in the end made the Ultimate Opportunist utter the humiliating phrase 'I Quit' giving The Angel a huge burst of momentum as well as an opportunity to face Randy Orton for the World Heavyweight Undisputed Championship. The match between Orton and Angel was contested in a steel cage and resulted in Angel suffering a broken arm and disappearing from action for a two year period.
When almost everyone had forgotten about the man known as The Angel, his music was once again heard throughout a WWFG arena as he went one on one with GBL with an in ring performance that made it look as if he had never left. After making short work of GBL, he had some contractual issues issues that caused his to resign with EEW instead of WWFG. He went from there to have a memorable feud with Brian Bain which ended with a Hell in a Cell Gauntlet known as The Highway to Hell where he defeated two tag teams as well as James Rivers and Brian Bain with the assistance of 'The Dragon' Jarel Draco Damone. The reasoning behind this was, Jarel has seen the potential that The Angel possesses and allowed him a spot in his faction known as The Unholy Alliance along with Zarel and Brandon Damone, and The Snypa Rifle. He has since put on several decent matches including a blockbuster main event caliber match against Jed A man he knows all too well from his days in WWFG. Angel has yet to hold any major titles since his return, but has held a few mid card titles including the SCW Intercontinental Championship, The AWF Heatwave Championship and the UWE Intercontinental Championship. He is currently a active member of the WWFG, UWE, and WWE:E as well as a part timer in EEW

Angel has a unique fighting style for a man his size. He is not afraid to take risks and attempt dives to the outside. He is well versed in Grecco-Roman wrestling, which when translated means he has a very limited arsenal of submissions. He is well versed in suplexes and has had extensive training in submission defense. Angel's longevity gives him an advantage over anyone he faces simply because Angel is very smart inside the ring.
Angel's major problem in the ring is he frequently will find himself getting hot-headed when the match is not moving in his favor. Situations like this frequently end with Angel losing the match because he made a massive chain of mistakes due to arrogance and pride.
